1. Great win for the Rebels. Cannot stress the importance of Richie Koons coming back in the game. That made a huge difference and basically took Ravenwood's running attack out of play. I have to disagree with Rebel Ron though. I still think the 2002 , 29-26 come from behind win over Hillsboro was the best game I ever saw. Followed by the 7-6 win over Melrose. :popcorneater:

  2. QUOTE(STARSNBARS @ Mar 6 2007 - 01:34 PM) 826402240Insider, I hope you and Rebelron can use some of our 1st week in December, Murfreesboro Red Rebel timeshares for lodging next week. /biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />

Don`t think Ron is going. If it were Clinton playing he might see if he could swing it. /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

  3. QUOTE(REBELRON @ Mar 6 2007 - 12:25 PM) 826402121How bout them Maryville Rebels? Didn't get to see the game but heard Aaron Douglas and Tyler Maples were great. They step up big in basketball just like they did in football. I won't be able to see them play Bradley Central because of my job. If Maryville beats Bradley I will be there the next day to see Maryville play.

    Quit your job. This may never happen again. /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />

  4. William Blount beat Alcoa tonight...

Next week is when the real fun starts, though!

That little soph. guard for William Blount was a dynamo tonight. I lost count of the all the steals she had. I think her number was 20. :( Looks like they only have 7 players. How many are hurt?

  5. How a team plays at the begining of the season to the end can be different.

Look at Livingston Acad. 5 loses and still won the championship. They started to play much better in the play-off's, even beating teams they had lost to earlier.

Yea, IF,IF,IF...But IMO, with a healthy Sykes and Warren, maryville losses................. :(

No here is what you said. Not closer, maryville loses.

  6. BC I don't know but Maryville may have had a little something to do with that terrible game.

Come to think of it, in our 14 other wins seems like I've heard a lot of those teams say the same thing.

Wrong, Maryville never earned those victories. The other teams all had bad games. Everyone knows that. That plus all the trick plays. They could never beat the `burgs` of the world ya know. :o

  7. I would like to see them play alot of teams. :justwrestle: Taft High was playing Crenshaw High in California afterwards. Taft lost their starting QB and were getting killed at half time.

  8. Yes, Alcoa did get beat 41-21. Yes, Alcoa fell apart in the first half and got down 21-0 quickly. but IMO Alcoa did not have their heads in this game and DID NOT PLAY up to their potental. Warren on the side was big against maryvilles run.

Alcoa was their own worst enemy in that game........the wheels came off the wagon and it got ugly fast!

My point, and no one will change my opinion................Alcoa would have played Maryville ALLOT closer in a second game. AND........IMO with Sykes and Warren Maryville DOES NOT WIN IN A REMATCH!

So.....PEP, PEP Thats my opinion! Deal with it! :P

Oh, Are you going to wear your San Diego chicken suit to the parade Saturaday?

You can also bring your Wooden High Horse you like to ride while you pound your maryvillewannbe chest! ;)

You have got excuse 101 down to perfection. IF IF IF. Just be thankful GQ and staff are the classy group they are. They downed the ball by the way at the end of the game with the subs in instead of pulling the oh they deserve to score since they practice hard all week and it wouldnt be fair to not let them have their chance card. Don`t fool yourself Melrose would dominate Alcoa and Cooper is better than anything that touched the field for Alcoa. :P

  9. Good win for the Rebels. This was one that had me concerned before the game. Maryville isnt completely healthy and Powell is always physical. Congrats to Cody Watts and Powell on a good season. Cody is the player who always scared the daylights out of me everytime he had the ball. It looked he wasnt 100% healthy either tonight. He played his guts out as always. Rebels looked awesome on defense again. The offense played pretty well also. Ryan Tallent still doesnt look 100% yet but is getting there. Another rebeljohn76 tailgate party next week at 825 Lawrence. ;)

  10. I care about Cookeville. I stop there for a bathroom break when I drive to the 'Boro. Get off at the exit. Pull into Micky D's. Take a leak. Then drive to the 'Boro to see the Red Rebels win another gold ball. Sometimes I change it up a little bit and go to the Taco Bell.

They have an Outback there also. If its too crowded in Murfreesboro after the game we sometimes go to that one instead.

  11. EF Hutton...we do business the old fashion way, we eeeaarn it. How old was that man, 363? He made Moses go, "@!%$*^$#@, he's OOOLLLDD!!" :thumb:

Was that EF Hutton? *L* I do remember the commercial where it says,"When EF Hutton speaks people listen." If RebelRon could have a little more passion for his high school football he would be alright.

    :P

  12. you are right...when he/she started the competition with EH's mascot Middleton's mascot spanked the Eagle! That Tiger can dance...haha

You should have seen her during one of the time-outs at the championship game saturday. The crowd loved her. thumb She busted a few moves for sure. B)

  13. I just wish the dude doing the Y.M.C.A. thing would have done it during the Bolivar-Raleigh-Egypt game it would have gotten a lot better reception....

I think they just need to can the Y.M.C.A. dude and just let the Middleton mascot do her dancing. She was next level and had a much bigger response than the Y.M.C.A. floor cleaner. thumb :) That little tiger had some moves. B)
