Are you serious? Yes Gleason had 3 starters back from the year before, and those 3 starters averaged about 12 points TOTAL! Gleason relied this year on 3 sophmores and 4 freshmen for the most part to go along with their 1 senior. The senior this year had a great year for us averaging 10 points a game. Gleason replaced 5 year starter and Miss basketball Kayla Hudson at point guard with Freshmen Camille Cooper.
When Gleason and Greenfield played the two teams played all Freshmen and Sophmores with each team having 1 senior start. I can promise you that Greenfield had just as much talent as Gleason this season and their girls had plenty of experience being that they played about 150 games together the 3 years they were in junior high.
20 wins by this Gleason team was a great accomplishment, because as I stated earlier the total point average by all their returning
players was less than 15 points. Obviously you are the one lacking in area girls basketball knowledge.
You just admitted I was right about Gleason having three starters back, and 12 points verses about 1 point a game does mAke a difference in Gleason's favor.The staters this year for Greenfield came in averaging about 1 point per game in high school total....You just don't get it,there was a huge high school experience difference and about an 11 point per game difference......If you knew anything you would know that no one on Greenfields team got any significent playing time in 2006-2007,because the 6 seniors got all the playing time and this year Greenfield had seveal serious injuries.Can you read,do you listen.The Greenfield girls have not played 150 high school or junior high games together...The Gleason girls have played more high school games together and just as many jr high games together...You are very good at twisting and leaving things out......You don't know basketball.......If you did you would be worried about Bradford and Lake County,especially with TT FLowers and company coming up,plus what L.C. has coming back.....You might worry a little about Humboldt,they just lose 1 gilrl that played any..Greenfield is the least of your worries next year...See you next year after Bradford,Lake County and Humboldt gets through with you and Gleason...Excuse me while I get back to AA,hope you don't have as much misinformation about AA,I don't have time to mess around...What do you know about 13 AA,probably nothing

No hibernating here. You were doing some hibernating when Gleason was winning twenty games this season. You showed how much you know about basketball when you said that Gleason "will be lucky to win half their games". This was a "weak" team compared to Gleason standards, but twenty wins by a team picked to finish 6th in their district preseason is a great feat. I'm not sure if you are a Greenfield fan or a Bradford fan from your previous posts, but either way you are barking up the wrong tree.
Greenfield finished 8th in the district and didn't find a way to win very many of those close games they were in, and Gleason was just as young as Greenfield so that young and inexperienced argument doesn't work here. Greenfield had just as much talent as Gleason this season so one team winning 20 games and the other losing 20 games should not have really happened, especially when Greenfield won 150 junior high games in a row or whatever with the same girls.
Bradford, with the best team they have had in 8 years and with 3 or 4 seniors and the most talent in the district managed to outscore one of the 5 weakest Gleason teams in the last 25 years by a total of 4 points in 12 quarters this season and you think they will bring home a gold ball, lol.
13A is hands down weaker than 14A. 13A's 1 and 2 seeds won by a total of 2 points over 14A's 3 and 4 seeds. 14A's 1 and 2 seeds won by a total of 50 points over 13A's 3 and 4 seeds. You evidently don't know much about the area basketball...Gleason had 3 starters back from last years state champions and lost no one for the season to injuries.Gleason should have won more than they did as experienced as they were...Most teams in the district had less starters back or the same number,Bradford did have all 5 back and a very good bench.UC had 1 starter back(I believe) and I believe Greenfield had NO starters back and no one that had ever started a high school game. UC didn't have Ward and Greenfield had several injuries including losing their point guard...You have your facts wrong about the the number of wins by Greenfild JR.high.The sophs and freshmen had good jr. high years but the upperclassmen didn't have a good record.I believe the one senior played on a team that didn't win a game in jr. high.
Teams with the experience Gleason had should do better,those players got in extra experience and practice time ,by going all the way last year.
Worry about Bradford for next year,Humboldt and Lake County.After next year worry about Lake County,South Fulton and the young kids from Greenfield will have plenty of experience.

Let me say for the record I have never talked badly about any player ever on coach T.
The sportsghost dude from west tennessee. I made a post about a year ago. stating that the teams that you thought would win the State Tournament, McNairy and Liberty, had not played any competition outside their district, therefore it was a little early to talk about how your teams would dominate the state. I was correct. check the facts. I am sorry you took this as me being ugly. The comments I made this season regarding Obion County, Gibson County, Milan and westview, are similar, the have beaten only one team outside their district that is considered to be possibly tops in the state. (Marshall). They have a post saying their district tournament is the states mini final four. As of last night either Gibson County or Obion County will not make it to the state tournament because they will have to play each other in the second round of the region. I still believe milan and Gibson/Obion will be two of the toughest teams to beat come region and state.
I think that giving other teams through out the state some respect would be something you might teach the parents who come on here and blab. Then maybe they would understand that everyone comes to play in the state. Every time you blab off about west tennessee you are disrespecting teams from middle tennessee and east tennessee. So just like last year you did not believe the facts or the stats and you spouted and you went home. I think if you check my posts I have been factual, the only time I have taken shots at you or anyone else is when you were wrong and it was proven. You say that you deal with fact.You deal with only your twisted perception of facts.
Fact is fans and teams are two different entities.The arrogance you speak of comes from fans like you .The players of the teams didn't make the posts that you hang your hat on.
Maybe you should have read what the bballmom's post said.Players read your posts,coaches read your posts and your posts do take shots at teams (which are made up of players).Your Spring Break comment about 8 months of it was ugly,useless and untrue the teams went back to work as soon as the rules and their coaches allowed them to.A lot of work and games in the spring and summer..Also don't be too quick to judge strength of schedule and how strong teams are unless you have seen them all and are more familiar with a team than you are...Your expertise (ha,ha)failed you on strength of schedule ,coacht's facts are only as good as the people that post and enter.Not all games are posted or entered correctly...You may have known the most about N. Side,less about McNairy and almost nothing about underdog Liberty girls,NOT the Liberty Boy,they were totally different.
When you write you don't say fans,you talk about school and team which are the students and players...Remember fan is short for fanatic........I could point out more of your wrong socalled facts,but Bear Bryant told me one day at a get together,that you shouldn't wresltle with pigs, because the pig loves getting muddy....This is SportsGhost disappearing until an injustice needs dealing with again.,,,Oh ,shpshter93 is it FACT,that I'm a dude like you said in your post?

If I was ugly by telling you that McNairy and Liberty would not advance, this was not being ugly...this was being right! You folks should stop lying to yourself. I can guarentee you that lipscomb fans do not claim me. This could be the funniest post all year. The person you heard announcing the upset the loudest was me. But last year when you guys were trashing upperman, austin east, Marshall and Lipscomb, I simply told you that these teams would send your arrogant teams home. Thats what they did. Get over it. If you want people to tell you how great you are go play at the Y. Hows McNairy and Liberty doing this season? NEXT

If I had seen them I would have been inclined to respond. My points about Lipscomb come because that is the school that I know. I also stated that I know the hard working young ladies are all over. I have no idea who any of you are and feel very sad that any player might come on here and have to read what people are saying about her school or friends. As adults we know to take things with a grain of salt, but we read all the time about young people who succomb to the pressures around them. I think it's terrible to slam any young players who's only fault is that they are working hard and trying their best. On any given night, your best may not be good enough but it's not right for someone to hide behind a screen name and say things you wouldn't have the guts to say to their face. Again, stick to the things that are interesting....strategy, game situations etc. I have complained about refs and coaches just like anyone else, but hey they are adults and get paid for it so they have to be able to defend their positions. The players don't get anything but a lot of sore muscles and late nights. The lucky ones get memories and friendships that last forever. They all learn life lessons good and bad. The super lucky ones get a ring. I know one thing and that is the girls that work their tails off in the gym tend to work their tails off in the rest of their lives as well and I for one will continue to defend them.
Most of your points were good,shpster wants to take shots again and I will defend the the teams from west tn,although they don't need it i.Just like Lipscomb's program speaks for itself.I know alot of fine people at Lipscomb and other Middle TN. schools,but I also know alot of fine people in West Tn.
You weren't happy about the posts,there were people down here not happy about the posts.
Maybe the posts should stay factual,but as long as people fire on people,people will fire back.The trouble with the world is too many posters likeshpshter93, stirs up trouble and then cries foul and starts more troble trying to blame some else.

Read my post ,I believe on page 14.You need to get off the West Tn. teams backs they are all still playing.

Most of the arrogance came from you shpshter93 and some people like you.You are still trying to trash McNairy and Liberty.No one on the teams were arrogant.Maybe fans like you are arrogant.The players and the coaches of these West Tn. teams were proud but very humble.North Side expected the most.McNairy had their own expectations and Liberty was happy to be where everyone said they couldn't get to...I don't remember any team members making posts last year,but I do remember a bunch of "fans" (which is short for fanatic making posts)...In about another week someone will tell you how well McNairy and Liberty are doing in post season play...Just a hint; they are still playing.

Last year after McNairy and Liberty lost in the sectionals shpshter93 had some
ugly comments about these two teams having an extended spring break.
Finally someone saying what should have been said to a bunch of pseudointellectual posters (especially to the poster that calls himself shpshter93),that trashed 3 WEST TN. teams that had worked hard,had top 10 academic students on their teams and had homecoming royalty too.
Maybe you fans that think shpshter93 can post what he wants and is right, need to realize it's a 2 way street...Where were all of you last year when he made his uncalled for comments ?
