  1. I think the possesion chart ended up around 67% Farragut 33% West. West had five shots all game and scored on three. Farragut had over 15 shots. Just couldnt finish. I dont see how you can disagree. But everyone can be mistaken one time or another.

Congrats on a good season West.

your shot numbers are wrong and your possession chart is skewed. who is keeping the possession chart or did you just make those numbers up on the spot? check the box scores again...

  2. If any Bearden fans still want to watch some soccer, they can /motorbike.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":motorbike:" border="0" alt="motorbike.gif" /> up to Hendersonville, because they are actually still playing.

Sounds like someone is still a little embarrassed after being murdered by bearden. You know no matter how much crap you talk it isn't going to change the fact that bearden slaughtered you all.

  3. I have heard that the Farragut starters and subs have all quit to join the new Dodgeball team.

This is crazy because half of the West team has quit to join the new water polo team while the other half has quit to join the parasailing club. I guess we won't be in for an exciting game after all!

  4. wow.... I'm sure that carter is not the only team that has left a star in to "pade" stats. It's soccer. Lindsey wilson left there whole starting line-up in the whole first half and then put in there next 11 in the second half to win 25-0 once and this is a college team. As for teams that pade stats.. i remember a bearden (sorry, didn't mean to single them out and i don't think they do it any more, but first that came to my mind) team that use to do that. Mark is a good player and i would have him on my team any day of the week. Scored 5 goals also in a game that ended in a tie, but i don't hear anyone bringing that up. The kid can score, so why are you faulting him for that? Not his fault that his coach left him in the game. At least he did score when he had the oppurtunity. Shows me that he can find the back of the net. Games like those allow you to work finishing oppurtunities and Mark made the best of what he got. THAT'S WHY HE'S BEING TALKED ABOUT. Don't trash a player because of where he plays (not in his control) or the level of competetion he faces (once again not in his control). I said it once and i'll say it again. At least he's finishing his oppurtunities and not blowing them. This will help when he only gets two or three shots in a game. By the way, Kid still had 43 goals AS A FRESHMAN!!!!!!!!! Can't think of another kid that had that many. By the way, I remember a game where Brandon Tarr scored Five goals in a game where they won pretty handedle. I think the other team didn't even score (maybe one). Brandon was not the only one to score ethier. Trust me, everyone who is a goal scorer has had at least ONE game where they went nuts and couldn't stop scoring. Last i checked, goals were a good thing.....

I believe it is referred to as one who "pads" stats.

  5. Has anybody seen Garibaldi from Warren Co.? I heard he tried out for FC Dallas and got called back before getting cut. I saw him play...He's pretty good.

I've seen Garibaldi...brilliant. I saw him perform neurosurgery while juggling a ball! I also heard he found the cure for the common cold.

  6. kirk reynolds from shelbyville is definitely one of the greatest juniors in the state if not THE greatest

    he runs a 4.3 40

he sees the whole field that it appears that he has eyes in the back of his head

he plays with toughness and tenacity never before seen at the high school level

he has one of the greatest scoring touches

this young man is going places...

I agree. Kirk Reynolds is the best player in the state junior or senior! I thought his time was 4.167? I could be wrong though. He has lightning quick speed and I actually saw the eyes in the back of his head! Isn't he on that great competitive team from Shelbyville? I wouldn't be surprised if he was talking with an ACC school as I type this message.

  7. I saw SMHS play in their first game this year and I don't think they have what it takes to compete with the teams from knoxville. I think being a new school is a problem and I'm not saying that in the next couple of years that they won't give CAK competition. However, from what I saw on Monday, I don't believe that they have a team this year that can compete for a state title. The soccer I saw was very sloppy, although, it worked for them because they are aggressive and play with heart. I think the sloppy style of play will keep them from competing with teams like Catholic and CAK.
