  1. With all respect wbcsoccerstud11 have you been to any of the CAK games this year especially the last 2? Your comment "oh and I would also say that CAK doesn't make it to the finals if teams stop Tarr, but good luck trying he is the only reason they one the last two games they won" is completely redicious.

yes, CAK has more weapons than just tarr, Jake Wragglin(sp) and phillip - dont know last name, are 2 very respectable players.

Hate to be argumentative but I could not disagree more. I think that there are a lot of quality of AAA teams (some that did not even make state) that would give Catholic all sorts of trouble.

Knox West beat catholic in regular season play.. It was a very fun game to watch.

  2. Cleveland has lost to Knox Catholic, Dalton(GA), CBHS, Ooltewah and Mcminn, who they beat in region play

Knox Catholic and CBHS are to very good teams, have brentwood played either?

  3. Wait, will Hendersonville be playing Bearden? Just because Hendersonville doesn't match up well against one team's players and schemes does not mean they won't match up with a different team.

well, 6-2 is a blowout... you should not lose to any team that bad. I dont see houston losing to hendersonville after houston beat bearden 3-2 and hendersonville lost to bearden 6-2... I do have respect for patrick kelly though.

  4. i am stating that the cheap tactics of the pros and that of tanner is not the same. i don't even know how you could compare a kid who fouls when there is no need to pros who foul when it's neccessary..... plus the pros have the skills to back it up..... not saying that tanner doesn't have skills but if he would work on these habits his skills will come of more use. i watched him closley tonight..... he didn't give up on to many plays and even tract back to steal the ball once or twice. he got shoved more then he was shoved. Do you know how you take skills away? you play agressive and foul them........ at the college level everyone can do what tanner is doing. he just resorts to physical play rather then skills just like tonight science hill resorted to physical play rather then skills. In high school physical play can overcome skills.... not in college because EVERYONE has skills and is physical. Not saying i dont like physical play but there is a difference between that and what tanner does. to compare what he does to pros or that of witch the habits that these pros had is nuts....

is there something you have against tanner? i have seen him play for both his high school and his club team (KFC Liverpool) and it seems very effective. He scores goals and is not selfish with the ball.

  5. Unfortunately they have not consulted me on his injury.

i "heard" that diego is not playing beacause he tore either his mcl or his acl in the west game. . . . - Are there any "stars" for collieville that might upset west?

  6. Yes state championship under belt, yes with Select, yes a pretty good player, BUT still young for the high school game. Club soccer vs high school soccer; tough transition and playing against older and more mature players (both in physical attributes and mental toughness). Heck, Select was not even challenged in the D1 states, cruising to pretty easy victories (if memory serves). FHS keepers (both of them) benefitted from an awesome back line, as evidenced with the VERY few goals allowed, BUT when challenged, those goals did happen - mistakes, own goals, playing with ball during pass backs, quick kicks...nerves? No bashing intended, just a growth stage all players must go through. Heck I've been there and it can be intimidating (no matter what sport) - only the best of the best are able to overcome and move on to the next level. Next year will be a real test with more seniors graduating than what is expected to fill in (but then again, the same was said about last years class). Keep the cup east, good luck West/OR.

    I understand, good input. /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

  7. ucsoccer -- I would agree with everything you say about OR.

    A few additional comments:

OR has absolutely no reason to be overconfident since they've already lost to Sullivan South this year. Also, who knows how serious the injury to Diego is? As a senior, he'd drag himself on to the field. Will he be as effective as usual? The game is at Sullivan, so based on that and the above, I'd say Sullivan is the favorite. Anyone disagree?

does anyone know anything about science hill?

  8. I agree. The goals were nice, but they were not reflective of the game as a whole. West packs the box, and is boring when they attack; Farragut is sloppy. Nice midfield play for the Admirals, but the offensive 3rd is a disaster. West has 3-4 players on the field who stand out, but very little fluidity to their play. Farragut is forgettable, posing no attack except for set plays. #8 and #22 are Farragut's best, and only real threat. Unfortunately, the better team did not win Tuesday night, and West benefitted from an inexperienced goalie. 2/3 should not have scored. Looked pretty, but saveable.

FHS keeper unexperienced? To my knowledge he has atleast one state championship under his belt and has played many years for his club team(select). I have heard before that if a player were to score on a keepers front post than its the keepers fault, but if a player were to score on a keepers backpost, it were a nice play by the shooter. #11 is an experienced player that has scored on even the best keepers. Dont blame goals number two and three on FHS keeper.

  9. ok i can only speak for what i saw witch was the last 20 min of regulation and the overtimes, witch was the most important part of the game, but who ever said that the west farragut game was a good game needs to quiet posting or learn more about soccer. sorry but both teams HAD to be tierd when i got there because it was the sloppest game i have seen in years..... i haven't seen so many bad first touches since i was in high school and watched lower developed high school teams play. besides the goals and a couple (very few) of deffensive stands this game was aweful. This was the prime example of a kickball game with both teams sitting back.... and if these teams were that tierd with 20 left to go in regulation then it's going to catch up with them later down the road.....

U.S. , i dont know if your a coach or a player or what, but i dont believe you should be bashing on these two teams, where is your team? It is very likely that they have been knocked out by now. And if these teams played bad, im sure your team would have played 5x worse. .

  10. he would be playing 2 years up

that wouldn't make sense to me though b/c i doubt, as good as he is, that he would get much playing time cause that team is really talented

Just saying what i heard! there are 3 sophomores on liverpool. .

  11. Brentwood is Brentwood Soccer Club, which is travel.

    West is High School.

They play opposite seasons and instead of playing at TNFC he would play At Brentwood Soccer Club. Brandon plays for TNFC also but its there last year so its not a big deal.

I heard Jack McCoy was going to go play for KFC Liverpool. /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

  12. I am just as impressed by his space opening runs off the ball and his passing in and near the box. Ricardo is a high quality player who has developed his game a great deal over the last couple of years.

How old is Ricardo? What club team does he or did he play on? Although he is old, does he have the experience?

  13. K.W.-

I think it is extremely disrespectful to call out the Maryville coaches and the Maryville keeper. I also think that it was poorly timed and immature for you to approach the coaches minutes after the game's conclusion and demand an answer for their tactical decisions. The fact of the matter is...it was the coach's decision, and the PLAYERS actually expressed the fact that they were more comfortable with the flat back as well. We had hardly NO transition offense against Farragut in the second half and OT, and we were hoping that by switching back to the flat back that we could stay a little more organized in transition offense and build better from the back. We were also hoping that this would help us use the width of O.R.'s field and get the ball to the flanks more.

It never fails...when the team loses, it is always the coach's fault. Keep in mind that this Maryville team had a pretty good season. In order to make it farther than any Maryville team, the coaches and the keeper must have done a pretty good job at times.

In my opinion, it is poor choice to publicly denounce your coaches and brothers, especially since they have been so supportive of you over the summer.

However, thanks for your support this season, even if you are unhappy with the final game. Good luck at A.U.

In my opinion, I dont think teams should run a flat back four unless they have practiced it for years. You have to be very confident in your d to run it - meaning there can be no weaknesses. I as a player take advantage of the weak defender. Speed is a must when running a flat back. Not "bashing" the coaches decision to run a flat back, just saying that i dont think you should change to a flat back just for one game.

  14. great district game

Your right - it should be a good game. Im not sure how oak ridge's deffence if, but i do know that West will have some trouble scoring against Wilson.

    I say 2 - 0 West, Oak Ridge's offence is unable to break West's D.

  15. Yeah, you are right about that i think, because he will stay back at his defensive spot and the mid in front of him will pinch in and carry the defender with him and Kat is gone in the back door.

Kat is playing outside mid again, Thompson is playing sweeper, while Ben Cooper is playing up top with Jack McCoy.

-To dins> Bearden plays as a unit right? Last time I watched bearden play, their mids were no where to be found. I thought Bearden defenders were notorious for clearing balls up to their three strikers.....? Beardens mids are week, 2-2 tie.

    - I could be wrong about Bearden's mids no where to be found, we will see.

  16. Bearden played a very unimpressive game and lost 1-0 to a goal in like the last ten minutes. Congrats Catholic, you have proved you are a impressive team

i did not see you there pinball..... and to answer the others kids question, it was that 20 year old ricardo that scored for catholic.
