  1. No really surprise last night for the East/Jeff game. East usually drops a very "public" game mid-season, just to re-adjust the team. Eye-openers are good for the soul and competitive edge. For the winners, the egos are boosted and the losers are second guessing themselves and kicking themselves in the hind-ends. Time to pick themselves up and move on to the hometown rivalry tomorrow. No slouching allowed. Pull yourselves together or you don't belong on the field.

  2. Just to keep everyone informed: the Morristown East and Cherokee game has been postponed for today due to a student death at Cherokee. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Cherokee family.

  3. :thumb: Just so the newbies to IMAC know, West has a tarp for their field and they strive very hard to get games played rain or shine. Hopefully, the Cherokee vs West game will go on despite the weather. Looking forward to some of that great food served in the concession stand. Don't forget some hot chocolate. Looks like we will need it. :thumb:
  4. :thumb: What can I say? The season has started, although it not be the prettiest of starting days. I do believe that Morristown East is---how should I say it? "Rock solid" It can be the start of a beautiful season. The seasoned athletes are providing the necessary talents and guidance and the "youngsters" are providing some solid hitting. There were at least 5 hits that were just shy of the fence for East. Those cars that park just beyond the fence better be checking their insurance policies for "dents" caused by flying softball debris. Go, East!
  5. Casey Horner 3B/IF from Morristown East 2010 - Middle Tennessee State

Courntey Davis IF/from Cherokee (Rogersville) 2010 - Milligan

Brooklyn Cress OF from Central (Knoxville) 2010 - Tusculum

These players were part of the Knoxville Thunder 18U team coached by Leonard Sams that went to nationals in 2008. Excellent students and outstanding players. These colleges have acquired quality student athletes. Good Luck to all of them.

  6. If for one ding dang minute anybody is taking anything away from the team that won West High and those girls that played then your a loser.... I was at both games and watched and the best team that day did freakin win the ding dang ball game. Who cares about all the bull crap you want to put up. The real thing is the team that was on the field won the game fair and square. They did not cheat they did not cheat they did not cheat. I have no one on either team and am ticked off that anyone would even comment on the game as to it not being fair. DONT TAKE Anything away form the West High girls they are great girls and worked hard for that win. Yes Cherokee is a great team but not as great as in the past and did not move on STUFF happens thats why it is a game. It is a game to be played there is always a winner and a loser..

Great job West High Trojans. Good luck to the Seniors from Cherokee in your future travels. ENough said.

Apparently you read through rose colored contacts. The discussion never questioned the girls nor the outcome of the game, it questions the integrity of Mike Reed and a few particular parents that have consistently manipulated the game. Best wishes to the Lady Trojans and hopefully, individuals will let the game be played on the field.
