  1. Geez Mom take a pill and quit feeling sorry for yourself.....I don't reckon I have seen anybody on here who has said they love to see Boyd fall. This district is not as weak on the north end as some in Chattanooga would like to believe. And one thing you are right about.......we shall see.

I have been around this sport for over 40 years. I don't feel sorry for myself. I just call it like I see it. /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />

  2. You still only scored two, a missing pitcher had no effect on that.

We will get another shot at Polk March 21 at the Soddy Daisy tournament. They will be facing a healthy Boyd then. All five seniors will be back in the line up. Might be a different outcome. Then all of you who love to see Boyd fail might be singing a different song. We shall see. /biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />

  3. Boyd is better than the posters representing them. One is overly arrogant and one is making excuses. Congrats to Polk on a big win. Might not happen again but let them enjoy it, they played the game just like you and won it. Don't overlook Meigs and Sweetwater or one of them might bust your bubble as well. Don't have a horse in this race but classy teams win with dignity and should lose with it as well. I am friends with the coaches at Boyd, Sweetwater, Polk and Meigs. Best of luck to all you men and especially the ladies that bust their tails for you everyday.

Our girls do win and lose with class. No one is trying to make excuses, you just cannot judge Boyd by one game. We do return 7 starters off the district championship team from last year. I give Polk credit for winning yesterday. I am just saying that Boyd will have everyone back healthy after spring break. We have three of our seniors injured. One with a broke nose from basketball, one with tendonitis in her shoulder, and a quad pull on the other. That does tend to hurt you when your seniors have not been able to contribute. No excuses...just the facts sir. This is a special group of ladies. No one gave them a shot to win district last year after 8 seniors graduated in 2006, but they worked hard and won. We will see where their hard work will get them this year.

  4. BIG win by Polk Co. over Boyd Buchanan. Apparently, MrNoitAll may not "know it all." This district is going to be wide open this year with at least 4 teams having a shot to win it.

I really hate to get involved in debates like this, but I can't let this go by without informing you of the facts. We have our senior pitcher hurt. Our freshman pitcher pitched that game, and she did a good job with her lack of experience. Our starting senior short stop is injured, so we had several players playing out of position against Polk. That contributed to the errors in the field. We beat ourselves. We are supposed to be back full strength after spring break. I assure you we will be defending our district championship when ALL of the games are played.
