Tullahoma has the best pitcher in the district. Lawrence County needs a great effort from their pitcher. They have to hang in there and keep it close and steal one at the end of the game. Jones is tough, you aren't going to get many runs off her. It would help the rest of the district if Lawrence County can pull off the upset.

I just think that for Shelbyville to win the district, their hitting needs to be more consistent. Thats all, period. How you guys come up with all this other crap is comical.

You know what MS, you are right. They need to continue to make the routine plays. Believe it or not we didn't do a good job of that against Columbia.We made way too many errors. We still overcame them for the win, but you just can't continue to do that and win. The problem with Shelbyville is that they haven't had much success in softball so when they do, they have trouble sustaining that success. Another big game against Coffee County next Tuesday. You get a win against them, then people will start taking notice. The only two consistent hitters on that team are Lamb and Bell, the rest of the team cannot just sit back and depend on them all year. Those other hitters should put in the extra work during spring break to help those two out. Its not like the others havent had a hit, they are just not as consistent.

Fastpitch softball is all about the pitchers. At times some pitchers are unhittable. It is all about the pitching. Lincoln County won the district mainly because of one pitcher, I think her name was Chelsea Owens. The girl from Riverdale who recently was injured, when she is on, is unhittable. You may get a couple of hits, but thats it.

Shelbyville won a big district game last night at home. Could this finally be their year to finally win the district? Everyone is picking Tullahoma and with good reason, Jones is an exceptional pitcher. But she is hittable. I think we have a shot at this thing, for the first time in school history.

A big win for Shelbyville for sure. I don't think the other teams in the district take Shelbyville seriously. They better start. I am with you SJ3. I know at Shelbyville, if they would be as dedicated in softball as in basketball, we would be hanging state championship banners for softball. We have struggled in softball forever. The only reason we have new bleachers is because of one parent. If not for him, we would still be standing or bringing our own seats. He also was instrumental in getting our goalposts for the football team years ago. One man, not a rich guy, but a go getter.Our coaching situation has been an embarressment .Hopefull we have the right person in there now.

A big game today between Shelbyville and Columbia. If Shelbyville is gonna be a player in the district it better win tonight at home. They are a veteran team and they need to step up and start playing that way. The leadoff hitter needs to take more pitches and get on base. They need to utilize her speed better. She is the key to their team scoring runs. Pitching, for the most part has been ok. Good luck eaglettes and go win a big one.

Let me get this straight, Tullahoma barely beats Coffee County. Columbia beats Coffee County soundly. Yet Tullahoma is the favorite to be district champs. Sounds like people are making predictions with their heart and not their head. I am telling all you guys that it is wide open in district 8AAA. There isn't a clear cut favorite.

Boy you are so right. I coached high school softball last year and the whole game of fastpitch softball is all about adjustments. An umpire can make all the difference in the world.

today's game between shelbyville and lawrence county has been rescheduled . some members of the team had a car wreck. i don't know how serious. our prayers are with them.
