Coaches, My name is Will "Scheny" Schenerlein and I'm the former wrestling coach at Parkersburg HS in Parkersburg WV. I am currently serving as the Co-Tournament Director of the WV Duals and would like to personally invite your team to be a part of this great tournament. Over the last three years we have had a very competitive atmosphere but are now looking to turn it up a notch. Walsh Jesuit was the first WV Duals Champion and Parkersburg South HS have won the last two. Each team will be guaranteed 10 duals. This will be the 4th Annual and toughest yet. The dates will be Friday and Saturday, January 28 & 29, 2011. We will be providing room comps for out of state teams, local restaurant discounts for fans and teams as well as providing meals for participants. Another aspect we are looking to incorporate is a College Dual that will bring NCAA coaches to the area which could help with recruiting. We have commitments from West Liberty Univ, Ohio Valley Univ (New Program in 2010-11), Liberty Univ. and are awaiting word from 3 other schools. The Dobyns-Bennett High School Indian Classic, Kingsport Tennessee, is a two day tournament on December 11 & 12. We will host a 32 team double elimination individual tournament on 8 mats. We medal 1st through 8th with custom medals. We award the top 6 teams with guillotine trophies and there is an award for OW in lower and upper weights. Last year we had teams from West Virginia, Virginia, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, and Alabama. There were 26 teams competing for the championship and we will take up to 32 this year. Last year we were finished by 7:00pm. That included giving out all of the awards. Come join the fun at this years Indian Classic. We will stop when we receive the first 32 contracts. The entry fee is $175.00. There were 31 All-State Wrestlers that participated in our tournament last year and 12 teams that finished in the top 25 in their prospective state tournaement. The Charter Communications Indian Classic Wrestling Tournament will be held on Fri & Sat Dec 12-13, 2008. It is a 32 team individual tournament run on 8 mats. We will have teams from TN, WV, VA, KY, NC, SC, GA and AL. We have also had teams from OH and PA express interest. We are limiting the number of teams from state other than Tennessee to 3 or 4.
