It shouldn’t be a rule in the first place, and you act like anyone even follows it. You can just say you “moved” and or use a fake address, and the TSAA will never come down to check. No one likes the rule, and no one even follows it. Why is it a rule in the first place?

Are  you talking about Bearden here?

And most of us have no problems with the rules.  Might just be you.

He definitely had an advantage in talent over West both years that they played 2022, which was just a straight embarrassment. Nobody was expecting Paige to lose by that much or even lose to Knox West, but they did, and you can only point fingers so far either way. However, look at it: the two losses from this season from independence and Knoxville West shouldn’t have happened and only happened because of terrible time management and play calls at the end of the game, which has been a common thing. Verizon, tire coaching career at page I'm not doubting he is a great coach and has built something special over at page, but he just needs to complete the journey with a gold ball, which he hasn’t done so far, even though looking at his past teams.

You either watched different teams than I did in 2022, or you're a pretty bad judge of talent.  Position for position, West was better over 2/3rds of the field in 2022.  2023 Page might have had more talent, but they still got out-coached and out-toughed.

10/17 is the only date left. Let’s start taking guesses, How about it?

If I had to take a swing at it, I would probably go with Boyd-Buchanan at Knoxville Webb, or maybe Bearden at Farragut, Alcoa at Maryville. But I would most want to see Knoxville Webb vs Boyd. In fact, I’ll probably go to that game.

bet it's west / AC. I'm psychic like that.

Slowly in Tennessee, public school football coaches are not even being asked to teach classes. Several schools including Cleveland has a teacher as a coach with no teaching.

So NO, the head coach doesn’t need to be a teacher. In fact, not teaching is a huge advantage.

So they'd be sub-500 if their coach had to teach?

And NONE of the schools you mentioned are in Bradley/Chatt area, so you proved my point. WV is known for their academics in this area…. just like Farragut is known for academics in the Knoxville area. Let’s move on.

I hate to chime in to your squabble, but the schools in the Chatt. area that are known outside the area for academics are private or magnet/charter.

I mean the high school lets the use everything the field the practice equipment the training equipment I’m pretty sure it’s allowed most high schools do that, West high school, Hardin Valley, Knox Central high school, Powell high school etc.

this isn't close to what Elias said.

Kinda, more of a sponsor, and they get everything the high school does. That’s why they are called the Bearden Bulldogs MAC unlike the basketball team, which is called the Bearden Bears.

pretty sure sponsoring or paying for would be a TSSAA violation.

OK, I know you don’t know what you’re talking about, but there is no football program at West Valley or CBMS, so they play at Bearden Middle because Bearden High pays for it, and in fact, CBMS and West Valley make up the majority of the football team, so when I say “Bearden Middle," I mean the football team that has players from West Valley and CBMS. So yes, mainly all the kids go to Greer middle or zone for West only a little bit or zone, but I’m talking about the football team, which has players from West Valley and CBMS.

Bearden high pays for bearden middle football?

Data and stats are out there form your own opinions on academic achievements and change of that space possibly in the future. I'm good on not having a debate with 5 ppl cause its a emotional subject for some. Whats the verdict on the transfer rule?

You haven't share any data.  Exit ACT is the only scores you'd have from privates and if you only take who you want of course the average score would be hire.  Did you know there are no requirements other than a degree to teach in private schools?

Everybody gets so emotional lol He’s just looking at the data and where public schools are compared to where they have been and where they are trending. They are down in ever major category such as Science, Math, Reading for 30 years and no amount of funding or boo hooing has seemed to curve it because its a home, policy and ten other thing issue so why not try something different instead of pumping money in something that keeps failing.  Idk on whose right or wrong but something will give. The average kid coming out of high school struggles to read at a 7th grade level or do simple math and don’t have any ability to work with their hands either lol

Public Schools are down?  Other than the covid dip, wth are you talking about?  Do you have any evidence that Private Schools are better than Public?

  11. Strange coaching decisions I saw tonight:

Page ran it down the rebels throats early, but rather than stick with it decided to throw long?  no explanation that makes sense to me, but West's #6 sure benefitted from the repeat decision again and again.

Page went for on fourth down on their own 20 while they had a lead.  Rebels set up with a goal line defense and make the stop and the get the points.  Foreshadowing.

West late, still holds the lead... were there 8 minutes left?  They threw on all three downs when they could have eaten more clock.

Page went for it fourth in the fourth when they could have taken a chip shot FG to put them within 2.  I thought at the time that they should kick it because they'd make a stop and get a chance at the winning FG.

In the second half page burned their first two timeouts for know apparent reason and then they used the last way too early.

I also really didn't understand why page pulled the starting QB late.  the wildcat was an okay option, but you had to know those should have been throwing downs.  Did the Senior QB end the game on the bench? I thought so.

I have to say when I saw the coin toss I thought page had it locked up.  They had a bigger more powerful line.  The qb hardly ever got touched.  page ran it when they wanted (except against that west goal line d.)   Why didn't they stick with their strengths?

one of the most exciting finals i've ever seen.
