  1. Red Bank guard Bailey Lyness had 31 in a game last week. It was a blowout, they led Smith 46-11 at the half so I'm not sure how much she would have played in the second half. She's got range to well behind the three-point line, not a lot of height but is very skilled at getting her shot off.

And Red Bank post MiShannon Wilbanks sophmore had 22 in that game also.

  2. I have to agree, those were really good games. Red Bank was down by 20 and to come back and lose by 5. They really picked up on their defense later in the game. I didn't get to see all of the Sequatchie and Meigs County game but I was impressed with both teams. Seeing alot of sophmores on the floor really doing their thing can't wait to see them in the up coming years. Let's see what happens Friday and Saturday.

  3. I don't think mother is trying to be cocky. Oaklandpats you said your congrats in a nice post, BUT you were not the one running your keyboard LOL. im_tj_m was running his keyboard for Oakland and now he's nowhere to be found. ummm... Wonder why?

And if she was trying to be cocky she has every right to be cocky. I've read some pretty cocky posts from the Oakland fans. Goose/Gander thing you know.

Thank you MVM, no I wasn't being cocky..........

  4. Less than 29 hours to go............. Has been really quiet, where are all the Chattanooga/Red Bank fans? Its no fun when everybody agrees................

It's quiet this morning, where are all the Oakland fans????? Oh I forgot you put your foot in your mouth can't say anything....... /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />

    GO LIONS!!!!!

  5. Hahaha I still remember the last time we played Redbank..

Back then some people were actually postin for them.

Redbank tried playing there style of ball and well 91-52 lol..

And you were saying............ /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> Congrats Red Bank!!! Yes, you went in as the underdog but you came out on TOP.......

  6. Red Bank is coming off a third close loss against a 32-1 team. However, since we have given Walker Valley an edge time after time after time, we are not going to be a clean sweep for you Oakland Raiders. Nick is a sophomore, but he's one of the hottest in the state. Britt can get at you and shoot threes from all over. Payne, Clay, and Davis can all shoot threes. You can't underestimate us, we do play some serious basketball if we focus hard enough.

    GO LIONS!!!!!!

Maybe we need to clarify what you are saying, not only can they shoot 3's, they can bang you in in the paint. I love to see Payne play he is a great rebounder. They are awesome offensively, we need them to work as hard defensively.

    GO LIONS!!!!!!!!!

  7. The Red Bank fans moved up to Signal Mountain High School. The remaining students and alumni don't follow this team very well. Don't underestimate how dangerous they can be. If you allow Nick Ross to get hot, it will ignite the rest of the team. He is their core go to man. He has unbelievable range when he gets hot. They do play a very playground style of ball but do it with a lot of intensity. Now with all that said, I am pulling for Oakland. There are only two teams in Hamilton County that I can not pull for and Red Bank is one of them.

    Good Luck!

(I am a big Nick Ross fan as he is a great kid. However, you can expect a lot of whining from another on that team.)

    GO Red Bank!!!!!

  8. Bradley Central Bearette seniors Katie Davis and Haley Ervin both eclipsed the 1000-point mark for their careers in last Friday's victory at Rhea County. The college-bound seniors who have played together since middle school surpassed the milestone during the same game.

Both have already signed to continue their careers in the college ranks. Davis with Lee University and Ervin with Tennessee Tech.

The duo was honored at Jim Smiddy Arena following Monday night's game with Ooltewah when they were presented with game balls by Bearette Head Coach Bryan Glasner and AD Turner Jackson.

    Congratulations to these outstanding Bearettes!

Is wondering what in the world is Bradley going to do without Davis and Ervin next year, they were the ones scoring all the points for the team. Congratulations ladies, the sky is the limit............

  9. It's your coach's decision. Just be patient. Your kid will play soon enough.

Um... Wasn't talking about my kid.....One thing i've learned dealing with AAU is patients.

I do think those who do play AAU has the advantage over those who just play school ball.

The girls who are playing AAU and school ball are basically playing all year round, which is good

for them. Just my opinion...... Thanks for all the input!

  10. Everyone says talent, But I think more often than people would like to admit you see Seniority getting to play over younger talent. Some coaches are content with winning games not championships.

You have some fresh NEW talent out there and they are being bypassed because of seniority. So I think it was a good question. You have a junoir or senior playing and you have a freshman or sophmore who's better who's not getting playing time because of seniority......Is it trust on the coaches behalf?

  11. No.... That is not why they were fighting. The ref asked the crowd who had been yelling curse words at him, and McNeal's mother pointed at the man behind her. The man got upset that McNeal's mom had pointed him out and that's how it started. It was not just arguing about who's son was better. You all need to know this stuff before you jump to conclusions. In America we are innocent until proven guilty... unless your a topic on Coacht.com, of course.

Still, SHAME, SHAME, SHAME, unless you were sitting in the mist of the whole thing. Besides this is what coacht.com is for opinions, insights, advice, and other things. But thank you for the INSIGHT /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
