  1. In 2008 I don't think Thunder had a team trying to qualify for 18A Nationals, but im not sure of that. White Lightning did qualify & play in the 18A Nationals. They finished tied for 97th place with 24 other teams out of 97 total teams. The Knox Lady Eagles (18u), Chattanooga Force (16u) & Knox Thunder 93 (14u) all won there berth to Nationals at the Memorial qualifier in Chattanooga. I couldn't tell you 100% what collage coaches the Thunder have contacts with but the Weekly's have been to a few of there practices to evaluate players, offer insight / direction, which only broadened there contacts. And the Thunder-Sams team played Chattanooga Fury after UT's alumni game. The Thunder-Sams team or Thunder 93 team was actually the teams I was talking about. Both teams are well coached, qualified for Nationals & represented TN well this past year. Coach Green is still involved with the Thunder but I am unsure if he or Coach Monday will be coaching a team this coming year.
  2. Chattanooga Fury & Coach Moyer is a good choice for Exposure Tournaments. However there 18u/16u teams are usually made up of athletes that are already on the fast track to being signed or have committed already. Other teams you might want to look into are Knoxville Thunder & Fred Fekete's Magic team. The Thunder has contacts with many collage coaches & they have been attending higher level Exposure tournaments these past few years. Fred's last name alone gets his Magic team into most any Exposure tournament he wants but the quality of his teams has diminished some over the past few years. TN Xplosion is another team / organization that has a good feel for the recruiting process. Good luck in your search!
  3. YES, allot of High Schools were playing year round. From what I was told the 5 rule was enacted to hinder some of this "year round play" by schools. Now all these schools are doing is playing in the summer instead of the fall & some are combining with other schools to get around the 5 rule in fall. TSSAA needs to weak up & re-think these regulations. With NO legal recourse for the coaches, players are being forced to play year round with there High School and only have 2 weeks off for dead period in the summer. I remember my days (many, many years ago) as a HS athlete. Coach was a good guy and i enjoyed playing for him most of the time. But 4 months with this man was all i could stand, If I had of been forced to play year round for this man SOMEONE would have been driven from the game. I just hope TSSAA changes something before DD gets fed up. /unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" /> /wacko.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="wacko.gif" /> /mad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="mad.gif" />

  5. Gibbs has won Distric 3AA for the past 9 years that i know of... They have also won there region & attended state the past 9 years except for 2004 when Stone Memorial knocked them out in the first round.
  6. Who would have thunk it after the 5-0 routing Central took from Halls on monday. Loosing a nail-bitter the night before to Powell must have took the air out Halls. Momentum is everything this time of year. Again Congratz to Central & Powell !!!
  7. WOW!!! Missed the games last night but looks like Central pulled it off beating Halls. Also looks like Farragut gave Marryville ALL they wanted AGAIN. It should be interesting to see how this all plays out.
