Thats how most of the Brentwood players are...
nick is most definitely not overrated. he was a huge factor in the team even being there to begin with. being at the game, trash talking was coming from both sides, mostly on the farragut side as well as their fans. he was probably just frustrated at how his team had been playing that game. it was probably the worst game i had ever seen brentwood play.
-
none of all of this matters. what matters is that two teams who deserved to be in the finals got to the finals with hard work, determination, and a lot of heart. Congrats to Farragut for the win, and congrats to brentwood for proving many people wrong. Great game, and a great season to all of the teams. Looking forward to seeing it all unfold next year.

everyone has to agree bristol is by far the best in the state. yet, he did lose against brentwood's keeper in pks.

The Jackson Sun has reported two long field goals:
Kyle Youmans (Dyersburg) 49 yds
Josh LeNoir (Trinity) 47 yds
Who else is kicking the long field goals with success?
didnt andrew fletcher hit a 53 in week 0?

is it just me or does brentwood look like they can be a contender? Because every aspect of their team looked great agaist blackman, from offense, defense to special teams.

you are correct...Corey Acosta from Memphis Christian Bros a 2010 kid is also on the list...those are the top two in the state.........Corey is #5.....according to prokicker.com....
there is a story on Corey on unapproved website.com
pro-kicker is a very good and accurate program...from what i've heard. what i think is interesting is that they have two guys which i have heard before, nick pollard and corey acosta, and some which i have not, like brian davis of brentwood is ranked #3 in the state by this website...the question is how accurate is this website and is this kid brian davis is that good??

Brentwood may be a force next year...hard to tell right now
Father Ryan may definitly have a chance to repeat
Ravenwood actually has been looking better the past two or three years
hendersonville, independence and franklin may look the same as last season...
-
it would have been nice to see a tennessee team at #1 though

I believe that AAA was down this year due to the fact that you saw teams in the state tournament that you haven't seen in years, or it was their first appearance.
Nevertheless, Brentwood was never tested the whole year, maybe at best 60 minutes out of the 100 plus minutes that they played Houston. If they had played a very gritty Father Ryan team, i am sure that the Irish would have handled the Bruins pretty easily and given them their first loss.
Following up the previous statement, i believe that D2-AA had the best, and most competitive teams
throughout the state. /ph34r.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="ph34r.gif" />
That's a very bold thing to say, considering that Brentwood was challenged at the Southern Soccer Challenge down in Huntsville where they beat nationally ranked teams from Oklahoma, Georgia, and Alabama of which all were looking for some recognition from people throughout the country.

brentwood defeats hendersonville in the finals 3-0
-
Just curious, because I really do not know, who have they beaten this year? I cannot recall them beating anyone big, and I can bet they are no where near the best in the nation. Being undefeated does not always mean that much....example D.B. who was until the faced Bearden, and then lost by six.
Brentwood has beaten Grissom (AL) who at the time was #2 in the nation
They've beaten Oak Mountain (AL) who won the state championship in Alabama for AAA
(i think this is their consecutive state championship)
They beat some other team from oklahoma and one team from georgia, who both were at a high national ranking at the time.
the oklahoma game and the georgia game were shutouts and the grissom and oak mountain games were won by a score of 3-2 i think against grissom and 4-1 i think against oak mountain

Brentwood= #1 team in the state and maybe the nation
-
i heard the game is NOT rained out.
Brentwood wins 4-0.
