Maybe your team had a bad game, I'm not sure if they did or did not. I think you have a very good team.

 

I have shown a lot of respect for your program and your area in general with my post. Again, congratulations on an outstanding season.

 

Most of the other Livingston posters are considerate and nice. You are not. Your only argument in your posts are to discount someone using "if" in their posts. I wonder "if" you have anything rebuttels that do not include this?

 

My entire point was that GC or this district did not receive much respect from the rest of the state before or during this tournament. I hope they do now. Your team has been the beneficiary of respect for a while and you should be happy with that and return it. As a matter of fact, I am sure that I along with all of Gibson County have the utmost respect for your team, as well as, the other teams in your area today. You have a long history of good teams and should be proud of your traditions as we are of GC.

 

Butler had an off game. Nothing to read into that statement. I think might have a little to do with the Livingston defense but for the most part I think she just had an off game. I think some of her scoring was replaced with Griffin's offense. Maybe they win by more if she's having a good game. In my opinion, I think they would have but that's just my opinion. Not trying to rub salt in the wound.

 

I'm glad that GC won. Doesn't matter if it was by 20 or 1.

i was congratulating ur team on a great game. i also said it was alot closer than the score indicated. and yeah people try to slam our team all the time. all year in fact. success brings the haters out. i'm sure you've been there before haven't you.

Nobody here crying. Yeah I know exactly how you feel ... hearing how much better Gibson Co. is than everybody else. How their going to blow everybody away. It makes me so sick. I was really expecting to see a Uconn Huskies type of team, but I was really disappointed. It wasn't nothing special. naive? lol... butler was gettin killed in the lane every time she went in and got zero calls. we played one of the worst games i've seen us play all year. honestly all the state games were bad games for us. if we play up to our potential in those 3 no one plays us within 30 points. you commited 30 turnovers because gc made you do it with their D. geez ur such a sore loser. take a page out of the other LA posters' books and be gracious for the opportunity to play in a game because there are alot of teams that never even get to that point. ur embarassisng your own team by the way ur acting...

and oh yes. i'm very proud of the way we won. and i call 35 and 0 with a state championship "special".

The funny thing about all this is our girls committed 30 turnovers and played the worst game imaginable offensively and still had many chances to win, and you all only beat us by 20. You should have won by 50. Hope that makes you all happy.

na i'll be at ut knoxville next year but it was on ut's spring break this year so i'd probably still be able to make it to the game

on a side note i just wanted to make note i was impressed with griffin getting the mvp trophy. in today's world its all about who scores the most and does the flashy stuff. not taking anything away from butler who was sensational throughout the tournament. but its nice to see people who understand what real value is! 3 consecutive double doubles in a win or go home type situation is an awesome feat. congrats heather griffin hope to see u back here this time next year!

your right, i'll be the first to say i didnt give la enough credit before the game. they remind me alot of this gc team with their heart and determination. their defense was far and away the best we have faced this year and although i feel that butler was fouled about every time she got into the lane she was held to 12 points. i would have bet money that we would lose with her only scoring 12. griffin and reedy really stepped up with gardner makin some big shots also. this was a great example on the saying "defense wins championships". we were not able to hit shots all weekend but we used our pressure d to create the offense and get some confidence going.

yeah... i was somewhat irritated with the officials as well on some of those non-calls... but u cant do nothin bout that just play through it and that's what the lady p's did... lol lets just all get along an commend both teams on a great effort. as LAwildcats would say thats "showing class" /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

Baller Congrads on your teams win today. It was alot closer than im sure most would have ever thought till the very end. You guys really did impress me today. We had several poor mistakes that cost us dearly and yall capitalized on them. Enjoy the win and the title i remember what it was like for the LA football team to make it to state for the first time and win its an amazing feeling. Good talking to yall last night and today. Hopefully these two teams will meet again sometime. So what did you think about Hogeye? As for the LA girls keep ur heads up it was an amazing run that you should all be proud of. To the Seniors it has been a fun past four years with many ups and downs along the way. Best wishes in all that you do. You have made HOGEYE proud!!!

i have to admit that hogeye performed very well and i was surprised by their determination. this game was much closer than the score indicates. they had gc in a tight one through 3 quarters i believe. lol very good fans, a great game, and an overall great weekend. congrats to both teams on a great run.

The LA student section can get under your skin faster than you think. I know most of those people i graduated 2 years ago i know what their capable of doing. and its good thing to have the student sections going at each other it adds to the atmospher of the game.

lol i completely agree. who wants to watch a game where u can hear the player's shoes squeakin. i love to hear 2 big student sections goin at each other. its all in fun anyways

i will say one thing i was impressed that the actual crowd did that cheer an not just the students. one thing that has always disappointed me with gc fans is they never do anything except clap some with the exception of the students.

LA had a nice sized pep club. bigger that gc's. wish we had those numbers
