don't want to take anything away from Hixson but there was another outstanding match with SD and ND Gardener vs Boone.
Good to see you CC as always
PS can't leave out Chattownrasslin
Maybe it was a different Chattown? I was at region 2
-
When I meant teams, I meant predictions of team placements (last year Bradley Central 1, Cleveland 2, etc...).
Are you doing both divisions or only DI (or only D2)?
I guess just div 1

I'll admit that Keiffer wrestled a good match, he knew how to wrestle against austin and capitilized on his injuries, good job brian, but id have to say thanks for jumping on me jacob i really appreciate that.
Wait a minute, didn't Caleb Little beat Keiffer earlier this year? What happened? How come he didn't wrestle 130? Could he not beat Austin Cox?
-
Ok it's really irritating me to the point where I have to reply now. I've been to watch the State Duals for the past two years now and there is asolutely no way Indy would match up with Cleveland, speaking Cleveland spanked them last year going for 3rd. I mean let's go ahead and run it down the lineup:
103- Alvarado pins Adams C 6 - I 0
112- Strickland dec. Overton C 9 - I 0
119- Lopez pins Bratt C 15 - I 0
125- Beazley dec. Oakes C 15 - I 3
130- Cox dec. Cleveland C 15 - I 6
135- Heithcock dec. Hampton C 15 - I 9
140- Jones dec. Seneca C 18 - I 9
145- Nichols dec. Cox C 21 - I 9
152- Sinsheimer m.d. Moreland C 21 - I 13
160- Garcia dec. Dixon C 24 - I 13
171- King dec. Jones C 24 - I 16
189- Norwood dec. Tambellini C 27 - I 16
215- Ofori dec. Berry C 30 - I 16
285- Peters dec. Burge C 33 - I 16
So in my opinion and this is very accurate and I believe this is actually giving Indy a few bonus points.
I think this looks a little bit better.
103-Alvarado pins Adams 6-0 Cle
112-Strickland dec Overton 9-0 Cle
119-Lopez md Bratt 13-0 Cle
125-Beazley md Oakes 13-4 Cle
130-Cox dec Cleveland 13-7 Cle
135-Heithcock dec Hampton 13-10 Cle
140- Seneca md Jones 13-14 Indy
145- Cox dec Nichols 13-17 Indy
152- Sinsheimer md Moreland 13- 21 Indy
160- Dixon dec Garcia 13-24 Indy
171- King dec Jones 13-27 Indy
189- Norwood md Tambellini 17-27 Indy
215- Berry dec Ofori- 17-30 Indy
Hwt. Peters dec Burge- 20-30 Indy
This is from a nuetral party, not a fan of either. But this looks more accurate and I'm ready for this post to end.
-
One the is no way at 152 blake ridenour is going to get beat 9-2, and two is no one even going to recongnize kole bishop at 145 or brett usary at 140.
Usuary would not beat Grady and Seneca already majored Usuary. If Grady stays down, thats your state finals.
-
EXACTLY. OH AND I HATE WHOEVER IS THE TEXAS GUY!!!!!
I think we need to set an age limit on how old you have to be to create a profile. Starting at oh say....13? Thats still to old for this kid. Jumbo, welcome to my ignore list, population....you..... /ph34r.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="ph34r.gif" />
-
Hey shut up poop head u dont know what ur talking about terd
Well I think it's pretty obvious who's still the middle schooler in this conversation.
-
This is just the funniest diatribe.....I never get tired of it. SD beat Clk. Clk beat Indy, Indy beat SD. Indy got the place they deserved at THIS tournament. NO one believes that Indy beats Cleveland. (well, no one outside of the Indy fans). All the what ifs in the world will not change the facts.
whoops,,,,I see Jumbo has created a screen name....and that person believes in INdy as well.
I wouldn't say no one, your pretty quick to jump on the Indy fans. Im not an Indy fan either and I think that they would beat Cleveland if given the chance.
-
Go for it. Keeping track of the duals is enough for me.
Question though... why not pick through 6th? And are you going to pick the team points 1 through ??
Well I figured people just wouldnt want to go through 6th (plus thats a lot of math for me to do). But I very well could do it. Ok ill edit my original post, but I don't understand what you were saying about the team points........
-
I have a question for the INDY coach. Why do you think that your placement in the top bracket was incorrect and what criteria are you basing it from?
Independence finished 4th last year at the state tournament. Ooltewah did not qualify this year, and Cleveland finished 3rd. The seeding should have been 1. Bradley 2.Cleveland 3.Independence. This would have put Indy on the bottom side of the bracket.
-
I agree, we should probably wait til after regionals so at least we can see the brackets. But I think at this point we know who the top four are and that they each will get place in regionals. But i guess it all depends on where they are on the bracket
-
Sorry Starraider, didn't know if you were gonna do it so I jumped on it. And I have a silent helper too. Ok heres what we're gonna do.
103- Pick the finals (1 extra point)
Champion- 6 points
Runner up-5 points
Third- 4 points
Forth- 3 points
Fifth- 2 points
Sixth- 1 point
and so on and so forth, every weight. Also 5 bonus points for OW and Best Match.
Tie- Breaker. Give the score for the Best match, closest one wins.
LETS GET IT ON!!!!!!
-
Hey coach just to let you know, Tanner Bates from Mt. Juliet beat Bryan Alvarado 5-4.
-
Well this is what I got, D-1 only sorry.
103- Tyler Pitts (Bradley) over Brandon Alvarado(Cleveland)- 11-3
112- Jared Browning (Greenback) over Ethan Haymes (Bradley)- 5-4
119- Logan Biddy (Bradley) over Dustin Stewert (SD)- Tech fall- 21-6
125- Tee Boone (ND) over Chase Beasley (Independence)- 8-6
130- Jeremy Miller (Greenback) over Bradley Cobough (Bradley) 9-2
135- David Graham (Bradley) over Ryan Treloar (Hendersonville)- Pin- 2nd Period (OW)
140- Seth Seneca (Independence) over Anthony Grady (Clarksville)- 10-6
145-Chris Aguilar (Bradley) over Lindsey Aragon (Walker Valley)- 3-2
152- Chris Sinsheimer (Independence) over Blake Ridenour (Maryville)- 9-2
160- Joe Proctor (Cookeville) over Josh Disney (Bradley)- 11-6
171- Jake Young (Ooltewah) over Brandon Duecevic (Notre Dame)- 10-5
189- Cameron Croy (Brentwood) over Micheal Kennedy (Blackman)- 5-4
215- Josh Patton (Blackman) over Max Ofori (Cleveland)- 5-0
Hwt.- Hunter Allen (Mt. Juliet) over Adam Peters (Cleveland)- 2-1

Looks like a mess for next week!
But in all honesty, since state duals are now over. The team rankings really mean nothing.
-
I'm sure Independence and Soddy aren't mad about where they are. Its a chance for them to prove everybody wrong. Everybody likes a challenge and this is their chance to take down number 1 and shock the state. That's why I'm pulling for them both. /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />

Sorry, I think that Austin Cox is over-rated. having wrestled him while I was in high school, he isn't that good once you negate what he does best. Witt should beat him just as long as he doesn't let Cox get into a groove.
and for full disclosure, I was a wrestler in Region 6 last year and beat Cox last year by a decision.
Well I hope you realize that the Austin Cox you are talking about is now only a junior. You are talking trash about a then "over-rated" sophmore. He is a fabulous wrestler and will make noise this year. It wouldn't be an over statement to say he very well could take it next year. Its very difficult to stop a good wrestler from doing what they do best, that's why they're good wrestlers. So yes you can gloat in your victory as a senior over a sophmore, but end the end why don't we just wait and see who does more in the state tournament, shall we? I vote its not you... /roflolk.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflolk:" border="0" alt="roflolk.gif" />

Everyone,
The new set of MatMan rankings have been posted to the TWF site at:
http://www.tennwrestling.com/rankings/08-09/Week11.html
The rankings for both divisions were included.
Let us here what you think about the current rankings.
Good luck to everyone who is competing in the state duals this weekend!
125- I understand that Beazley lost to Boone, but he beat Campbell Lewis, and Lewis beat Boone. So I see a three way tie for 2nd there.
130- Did Jeremy Miller lose to Coubough of Bradley?
140- How does Grady dropping for Brentwood and losing automatically put him at number 1?
171- Has Brandon Duecevic from ND even wrestled at 171 at all this year? He's a big 189.
Hwt.- How does going into four o.t.s and barley losing not put Cody Epperson up there, and Graham Smith won the Brentwood, thats impressive.....
Just blabbin i guess /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

Wait, wait, wait....... Caleb is transfering schools now? Did they move? Hopefully they moved to Chattown, I know we'd love to have him here at the nation. But wherever he goes I know he will be a valuable asset to the team. I was wondering why I didn't see him at the state tourney. I guess this explains it. Keep us posted, I watched him in middle school and I'd love to continue watching him in high school.
