  1. Owls made a big step forward in the scrimmage. They made adjustments on defense after the first series and put the lock down on Ringold. I loved the enthusiasm and emotion the Owls showed. It was only a scrimmage but they knew many teams were there to scout them . Everytime out the offense is getting better and the players confidence continues to grow. Red zone offense needs some work. I thought the longer the game went the Owls got stronger. Ringold seemed to run out of gas. A come from behind fourth quarter win builds so much confidence. They know they can come back and will never be out of any game.

Owls looked better than i expected. Biggest negative was too many dropped passes. Defense should be solid. Best case scenario for the Owls is probaly 6-4 but i think 5-5 is more likely.

  2. Trojans and Owls are tied up in the standings. Next Monday and Tuesday should be a great firework show!! Last time these two met wad in the scenic city tourney. Owls shut the Trojans hitting down and won 8-4.

Great game tonight. Owls rally late for 9-8 win over Soddy. Should be another good one tomorrow night.
  3. Current standings as of 4/2.

     Rank  Team W-L

    Record Win

    Percentage

    1 Ooltewah 4-2 66.70%

    2 McMinn County 3-1 75.00%

    3 Soddy Daisy 3-1 75.00%

    4 Cleveland 3-3 50.00%

    5 Walker Valley 3-3 50.00%

    6 Bradley Central 1-3 25.00%

    7 Rhea County 1-5 16.70%

Ooltewah now at 6-2, Soddy 5-1. Looks like the two Hamilton Co schools will finish 1-2.

Let me spell it out for you since you are too slow to read between the lines.

Good work picking the last place team.

    Should I put it in bigger letters? /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />

  5. You people are really sorry. Brady threw very well on Friday night when given the chance so I don't see why everyone is still having a problem with throwing the ball. I think Monroe should give him a chance to throw the ball and see what he can do with it. They looked good in all aspects of the game. How about you give some credit where credit is due and get over yourselves.

Well stated red4life. Brady played very well. The constant whining by certain people is getting old fast.

  6. Smith is only a Junior and is rated the #1 Junior in the state by Tennessee Football magazine.

Scores from the play that I saw:

McCallie 14, Brainerd 0 - Brainerd only had 9 yards total offense

East Ridge 3, Soddy-Daisy 0 - 37 yd. field goal at the buzzer, both teams combined for 28 yards (14 each)

Walker Valley 20, Notre Dame 0 - Mustangs had almost 200 yards of offense, Notre Dame was really small

Ooltewah 7, Rhea Co. 0 - Reed to Myricks 15 yd TD pass on what turned out to be final play of the period

I didn't see the first quarter, so I don't know that score.

  7. Why does that surprise you? Is there something about the QB's that you don't like, you are always saying something negative about them. I think in both scrimmages so far, they have looked very good. What would you like them to be Peyton Manning on every play? Get over it, they are kids and they deserve a break every once in a while.

Owls will be fine if they can avoid injury bug. Reed is a good looking prospect at QB. D-line seemed to struggle in Tyner scrimmage. Schedule is very difficult a 7-2 regular season record would be good.
