I agree about Finch...hes just a monster with the football.... Rice and Cox looked great aswell. It was fun to see Caleb price catch that pass out of the backfield, hes just a football player. Overall, thought we looked solid...lot's of hitting goin on.

well I heard this morning that he had applied but I wouldnt be surprised if its just something someone has made up....my first instinct was that he wouldnt want the job....but people will do alot of things for money.

as far as Fitzgerald goes, there's a new rumor about him going to a different school every season.....this might be the type of job that he actually chooses to take. That being said, I dont know why he would want to leave RC, but i guess the almighty dollar rules all.

Seriously I dont mean to sound overly critical, but youre way off man. Great fan support? We bring more fans TO Cleveland than you guys do pretty much every time we make the trip over there (which really isnt that much of an insult beacuse...with the exception of Maryville....we probably do this every week) Only 5-10 schools are better? Not so fast my friend. At the same time...I dont consider Rhea County to be a "prestigious" job, but its a school with a fine tradition, above average talent, excellent fan support, and one of the best environments in the state. I hate to burst the bubble but "top tier" coaching talent is going to be tough for you to find...this late in the game beggars cant be choosers. I dont know what you guys have left as far as coaches go but I would probably start looking to name some one the interim coach before too much longer, which would give you time to make the right hire next season.

Just sound likes their a little too big for their britches to me....Cleveland isnt the dynasty that it was 15 years ago, the head coaching position doesnt carry the same amount of prestige it used to. There are plenty of good coaches out there who havent made it to Murfreesboro....Jmo

This may come as a shocker but its possible they may not tell you everything. If Cameron is talking to the blue raiders the coaches would want it under wraps....so I still wouldnt be surprised. Just my 2 cents.

as a Rhea Co grad, I just dont think I could ever coach or even be associated with those folks across the river. If Steve's anywhere near as good of a coach as he was a player let's hope he's not seriously bein discussed by Cleveland.

It looks like the boys in green and gold will have a pretty tough schedule next fall, I also heard a few of the players had been kicked off, if anyone knows anything about that. Anyone know when spring practice starts...?

someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning. lol. The defense played a heck of a game last night, and like I said before I am very proud of them.

The away side of the stands used to be the home side...a select group of fans still sit over there and have for years. It was nothing special for you guys... tonight was a great game. When I was leaving the stadium I was planning on coming straight home and letting out a little frustration about the STUPID 3rd-20 run play....not being able to stop the throw the flats...and that letting your only receiver who has never been a QB throw a pass, but after a little while Ive managed to cool down... All I want to say is I couldnt be more proud of our boys. Id also like to apologize for the embarrassing actions of our coach. That was pitiful... Congratulations Maryville, Ill be pulling for you the rest of the way.

Wow great work. I don't think that any of us are denying that Maryville has the advantage in this game. Saying that Maryville pulls away in the second half is nice prediction. Some of the Rhea County fans have touched on it in this thread, but there has been something special about this years team. Whether it was the offsides not being called at the Soddy game, the wind at the Red Bank that allowed us to control the field position, or the bad snap that went for a TD against Clinton. Call it luck, call it whatever you like, I just hope we get a little more of it tonight. I don't know that you can put much stock into that, but I think we can all agree it's going to take a little bit of luck to beat the Rebels.
