  1. To all you fine folks who think football year round Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year :):)

Merry Christmas to you too, and hope you have a blessed New Year! It has been a pleasure being part of this team for 4 years and to know someone like you(special folks). Keep on taking care of the boys, you do a wonderful job of taking up for them all. I appreciate all that you have done for the team and I know they do also.

  3. Well say what you want, the best team didn't win, you got a gift wrapped game. Bo capitalized when he got the opportunity, and the devils didn't. Like I said take that gold ball and embrace it keep it shined up, you'll have to make the shine on that one last for a while, and everyone knows it. Ask anybody outside of the Giles homo's, I mean homers and they'll tell you the same.

And still as for bo being the best in the state, you guys don't have a leg to stand on. Brunetti had multiple big time offers and signed with WV(west virginia for you illiterates) and poor bo better jump at the first CHUMP to throw an offer his way.

Well dugh, isn't that part of the game capitalizing when the opportunity presents it's self-being that Bo is the general on the offense wouldn't that be his call? Well now let's hear you excuses for why Greeneville's offense didn't capitalize when they should have. GC defense also did their job by causing Greeneville's offense to make mistakes which we took advantage of, that's all part of the game.

It seems that you can't accept the fact that the better team on that saturday won. Still sucking those sour grapes-get over it. We don't need to ask anyone to know what Giles has coming up next year, and it's pointless to argue with someone who can't face the fact that their team got beat and is now trying to make excuses for that lose by putting down the other team and calling names. GROW UP! It's over for this year, Greeneville has a good chance next year and good luck to them.

They are a class act but you are a sore loser and gain nothing by beating a dead horse. And as far as Bo goes time will tell where he goes.

  4. Giles will be just fine next year. Alot of people are talking about Bo's absence but I believe that either Belew or Cobb will be good enough to get us back to the big game. They might not be as talented as Bo next year but who knows about their senior years.

If Giles is as much like Greeneville at they appear, they have a pretty darn good feeder system in place starting with pee-wee and can just keep reloading with plenty of talented kids. Who knows the next Bo Wallace could be tossing the ball around in a backyard in Pulaski waiting for his chance.

    Believe me he is.

  5. Remember it as long as you can, it'll be awhile. #12 was the heart and soul of the program, the o-line not so much. If it weren't for Bo's pocket awareness and elusiveness he'd been hit a bunch. Face it if it was not for three big plays, GHS dominated the field in every aspect of the game.

Here are the official stats from the game from the TSSAA website.

Why don't you give it a rest. Greeneville gave their all and so did Giles, we just came out on top. All you are doing is making it look like Greeneville are sore loser and we know they are not. You are are not doing justice for Greeneville-the game is over it won't change the final score. Enjoy the fact that they made it there, there are a whole lot of teams that can't say that.

  6. To the Bobcats thanks for allowing us to take this ride with you! What an awesome ride it has been.

To the underclassmen-Keep it up, you have the ability. Looking forward to another great season. Good luck next year.

To the Seniors-what can I say? I watched most of you play your first game in PW than move on to Bridgeforth than GCHS. We seen it than and we knew that you were a special group of young men. I think someone wrote it before-DESTINY. You brought that Gold Ball home for all of Giles County. You earned it, you deserve. Just wanted to say Thank You for showing us what hard work, dedication, determination and heart can bring you. With every two a day, every bump, every bruise, playing sick, playing hurt, your desire to win never lacked, you set your eye on the prize and you did it. Now take all that you learned from football-that never give up mentality and apply it to life and you will do well. Good Luck in wherever life leads you from here, and always remember you are the the best of the best in 2009.

GILES COUNTY HIGH 2009 4A STATE CHAMPIONS

  7. Wallace was their team. When he's gone, they will more than likely be horrible : /

your half way right, but OC knows what he is doing. if he stays he will find a way to bring this team back next year. :popcorneater:

Just to let you know the JV-which consists of most of next years starters were undefeated and they played quite abit in the varsity games. They will be good-but more important they got a taste of what it feels like to win it all. They have the same kind of dedication, determination and heart the Varsity had this year.

  8. I have to agree what an awesome game-no need for Greeneville to hang their heads. I know that losing hurt but you will eventually be proud of your accomplishments of this year. I'll say this although I had all the faith in the world in Giles I kinda didn't want to look there at the end. But our boys pulled out the win. I have to say I think this was the best high school football game I have ever seen. When I looked out there on that field I seen HEART gleaming from both sides of that ball.

Congratulations to both teams on a great game. To the Bobcats, Yeah baby you brought it home.

For me this game was bittersweet. Last game for my son :flower: , but they are the 2009 4A STATE CHAMPS :roflol: . What a way to go out.

For those talking smack about Greeneville-you really need to let it rest-it very easily could have been them walking out of there with that Gold Ball-they have a good team. As with the posts most of the trash talk was not from true team fans but from fans from area teams. I think these two teams have learned to respect each other and earned respect for their programs. No ifs, ands, or buts, woulda, coulda, or shoulda these are the 2 best teams in 4A.

  9. excuse me. for classification purposes anyone cheering for giles county is on one side all the rest are on another image an invisible line if you will :thumb:

Yeah but we've gotten kinda friendly with the true Greeneville fans and are still trying to get an invite to Barb's party and if you start dissing them we won't get to go!

I don't guess Barb liked my poster :?

Guess we will just have to have our own party tomorrow night, A Bobcat State Championship Party! Everybody to 52's House!!!!! :?

We'll see about that tommorrow evening! :)

  10. jwc.....since you couldn't kick it I see you have decided to kiss it. :thumb:

Sorry my friend, but I'm not kissing it! Your right we could kick and neither will you that's why I gave you 13 instead of 14 for your score of the game. Your guys from Giles haven't seen anything yet! Greeneville's Coaching Staff is outstanding. Oh yes, Greeneville have some players that will play both sides of the ball. RB had no one playing both ways and speical teams and Greeneville did their thing and they will do it again too. This time it will be you going home in pain and disappointment. Hey but that's ok, for it will ease some with time. At least RB's lost won't be like yours in the final's of the State. I'm sure Giles Co will be proud of the Runners-up Trophy.

You might want to keep in mind that I have no need to "kiss it" with anyone except my wife.

I saw the best all year for 13 weeks play then I saw the Greeneville beat the best. When during 2009 has Giles Co ever been ranked #1 in the State. Has happen yet and wan't.

    jwc

I absolutely hate ppl like this .it is hasn't happened and won't happen learn proper english otherwise u will need to learn to press 1 when the operator says to. Is this what they teach these ppl from Greeneville? but if we being giles county fans & alumni are "wan'ting" something its a state title. it's been on our mind since OC stepped foot on our campus, since these boys were "fresh meat". And if we can't beat you we will take that runners up trophy with class. Well not really its not really our thing.

    He ain't Greeneville!

  11. I guess no matter what it is someone can always find something wrong with it. Just try and look at it from the teams point of view they have done something that has brought a positive light on our community and we can all be proud of.

Your right. The thing is that Giles County has been here before. Maybe not in football but in other sports. If all you have is just this one year, I feel for you. If you'd really been around and around Bo then this would not be unexpected. I remember traveling to watch the teams he was on in both baseball and popwarner football. So, no, this one year is not all that Giles County is about-even in sports... Then again, Giles County and Pulaski have more to offer than just this one year of football. The video showed that this was the only thing that Giles County has ever had or done!

I think your reading into something that wasn't there, I don't remember them saying anything like that. What I do remember them saying was that the town is proud of them-just like we have been so proud of all the other teams in various sports that have done well. The only one who is saying this one year is you. Watch it again-they say alot has happened to this town in its's 200 years but one thing that has never happened is winning a high school football championship-doesn't sound to me like they said it's the only thing Giles county has ever done. I've been around Bo saw him play his first PW game-he was good then and he's good now-but this is not about Bo it is about the "TEAM".

By the way don't feel for me if something good is happening in your community and your bitter about it I feel for you. Why don't you sit back and reflect on what reasons Giles has been in the news for lately and be grateful this time it's something good.

  12. I didn't really care for the video. It put us in a light that really is not all that positive. It portrayed us a hick town that really doesn't have anything else going for us except for this one year of football. Now I know how Richland felt 22 years ago. After that run, they dropped off the map and radar. Wonder if that will happen once Bo graduates like it did 22 years ago? I sure hope not.

Well please tell me at this point in time what else Giles County has going for it besides sports? As far as being a hick town, what's wrong with that? I kinda like livin' in this liddle ole hick town it's quite quaint-where everybody knows your name!

There are a lot of other things going for Giles County besides just this one years football team! Martin Methodist College for one!!!! Two, we are one of the top five destinations IN THE STATE for people deer hunting!!! Turkey Shoot!!!!! Farming!!!!!! And, the school up the road has had excellent Athletic teams in the past!!!!! So, for a school in Giles County to be publicized for going to a championship game should not be nothing new!!!! Now, I'm not even going to add the city mayor.......

Yes we have all those things and three out of the five things you mentioned are SPORTS. Martin is a fine institution for learning. I don't mind being called a hick-ya know when times get hard is when those hicks stick together and watch out for each other. Pulaski is a samll town in rural area of Tennessee, and if you ask anyone who lives here or has been here they will say it is a small town. As far as going to the championship game it hasn't been done before this year in football so yes it is a big deal. You know we have been on the news lately for alot of bad stuff so why complain when we get publicity for the good?

I guess no matter what it is someone can always find something wrong with it. Just try and look at it from the teams point of view they have done something that has brought a positive light on our community and we can all be proud of.

  14.

Don't see it happening here either-the powers that be would never let that happen-I think it would benefit both programs.

Consolidation would be disastrous for Greeneville....the county schools would benefit some from increased revenue but there's no way they'd build 2 super-schools...600 square miles of county would mean bussing kids at 6 am to get'em all in. As it is with Greeneville's enrollment policy, if a parent wants them in the city schools, all they have to do is apply and pay tuition. Only someone from the county would see consolidation as a positive...its all about the money.

Only meant it would benefit the football programs not the schools themselves.

  15. You called us rednecks earlier.. You said you are a city school, when your school name is clearly GILES COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL. We are the city school, your the county school. Where is Giles County anyways? I think there is a reason noone has ever heard of it.

P.S. Greene Devils get your pitchforks and your bam bams ready, were goin to state@!

I think if you go back and read it wasn't Giles fans-I believe that would have been bulldog.

Just for the record Giles County High School is located in the city limits but it draws students from all over the county. We only have 2 high schools here, you either go to GC or Richland which is in the northern part of the county. So I gues we could be classified both.

It would be nice to consolidate and have two schools, we have five. But it will never happen, I'm just beating an old drum. Too big of a county and too big of rivals to bring them together now. Not to mention the financial problems that would occur. But man, we would have some pretty good athletic teams.

It's nice when 2 unknowns are playing for state!

  17. Did you see the story on GC on channel 4 last night? http://www.wsmv.com/video/21802537/

I thought I was watching a piece done on Greeneville. The Devils and Bobcats seem identical. It will be interesting.

P.S. I love Tobia's hair. If I wasn't bald and if my wife wouldn't kill me and I wouldn't get fired from work, I'd have to go get my hair did and sport that do.

We like to call him "T".
