If memory serves me correct the MC team back in 08 did something no one thought they could do! The coach from Alcoa even told our boys they were the only team that year that made them play four quarters of football! Never under estimate the MIGHTY PURPLE STORM because from the looks of things it's on the rise again!

Keep up the good work Warriors and let's show FC what we are made of!

hey Reaction just wanted to let you know I'm Back.....lol.....good game last night Boyd!

Dad burnit, Old Pirate says Joe's departure cost him a state championship and quite possiably cost the Pirates one in the end. Everyone has to respect players that play with the effort, consistantancy and heart that Joe brought to the playing field.

 

Squaw, OP says you have definately learnt the art of cage rattling. That pic rattles many cages. Better watch out,once everyone finds out about it you'll have to go and delete profile visits everyday. Thanks for the complement on Joe and on my cage rattling skills.....lol. Kinda like the pic think I will have to keep it around for a little while, just so you will have something to go look at every now and then....lol

It's been loads of fun rattling cages this year and look forward to doing the same next season!!!

Old Pirate says Joe has been a true warrior. OP was told Joe about got knocked out last friday night and wouldn't come out of the game. OP thinks either player would be great representatives of this coacht only recognition. The fact is David has more size & potential for excelling at the next level. That doesn't mean squat sometimes.........Joe, w/o question has been the more durable player, excelling playing both sides and special teams. Some players just seem to avoid injury and others seem to attract the injury bug.

Which is the most deserving..........................OP says.............................................you decide..................for yourself, after all it's what each of you believe/think that counts.

I find myself agreeing with you more and more OP, it's kinda scary...lol. Joe Joe has my vote that kid never quit, the entire season this kid played both sides of the ball, was a leader to his Team and never took himself out of a game. You know some kids are prone to injury, some avoid them and others play through the injury because they don't have it in them to quit!!!

To my Mighty Warriors.....I couldn't be more proud of you boys, you've had one heck of a season. I have known for the last couple of years that you had it in you but you just needed a great leader to pull it all together. You went to Alcoa and played your hearts out and gave them a fight that they didn't see coming. To the seniors hold your heads up high you accomplished something that most everyone said couldn't be done. It was a hard fought game by both teams and I would like to say congrats to the Alcoa players! I'm not going to get on here and squabble about silly stuff because all that does is take away from 2 great groups of kids that have played their hearts out all year!

We love you Warriors and you will always be remembered as that MIGHTY PURPLE STORM that took the valley by surprise and brought back the winning spirit to MC football!!!!!

As for the comment about the gentleman and his siren....who cares what Alcoa fans think about it he shows his support for our boys the best way he can and our boys love him for it and they love the siren because it sure can irritate some players on the field...lol......and that man with siren has more class in his pinky finger than the one that made the comment about the siren will ever have!!!!!

Well heck I finally caught up! The game this week should be hard fought by both teams. I don't think this will be a run away game. I have heard all bout Alcoa's team and how grand they are, but IMO My MIGHTY WARRIORS always seem to step up and make the plays we need at the right moment. I am sick of hearing about the Boyd game. Marion won end of story that 450 yards got Boyd no where. I am in no way trying to dis Boyd so let's not make that statement out to be something it's not. I have believed in my boys all season and knew in my heart that they were gonna do great things this year. You non believers that are now cheering for my boys you come on up to Alcoa, we all know why you are really coming and I can guarantee you are just adding fuel to the fire for my boys! Warriors keep you heads on the right path this week. Practice hard and believe in yourselves because when you have as much heart and determination as you boys do anything is possible.

Hey McLovin I have no doubt that our Senior players will step up and get the rest of the team in the right mindset for game. Our boys have come to far and proved 2 many people wrong to be scared now!!!

First off sometimes its good to be lucky also. If some teams would have been put in the same bracket then im sure they would be in the semi-finals also. When a team has 8 turnovers in the 3rd round game like Boyd did then you better come away with the W or something is def. wrong. I understand that you believe in your team & im not knocking you for that because I will be pulling for the Warriors also. I am just taking the more realistic approach by knowing that Alcoa will most likely not turn the ball over 8 times so its going to be hard to keep it close. This is a team on another level then you have seen all year. When South Pitt blew Marion out the first game if they would have played Alcoa the next night South Pitt would have got beat themselves. This itnt York, Smith County, or Boyd. Its Alcoa a team who barely lost to Maryville. Yeah Maryville the team that has a 73 game winning streak. Good luck Warriors I will be pulling for you & I hope you do pull the upset. I am just one of many that just dont believe it will happen. No need to go bragging though cause like I said if your team were in a different bracket you wouldnt be in the semi finals so after Friday night you also will be strapping up the basketball shoes.

I am very proud of my boys they have done very well this season so I guess it does give us Marion fans bragging rights!

A lot of people have had the so called realistic approach all season but like I've said before MY MIGHTY Warriors just keep proving you wrong. You are entitled to your opinion and so are the Warrior Faithful....I just believe that our opinion is right and yours is wrong!!!!!

Warriors pull off yet another upset Friday night!!!!

Good evening once again gentlemen. My boys from SP lost a tough one to another great team so now I must turn my attention to my second favorite team, Marion-Jasper. Anytime any team besides Maryville plays Alcoa, I always start out the post the same so here it goes again.

 

OUCH! From reading the article about the Boyd game, and seeing that Boyd outgained Marion-Jasper 450-150 in yards, I am kind of inclined to believe the stars were aligned just right last night. Goodluck to Marion-Jasper, but I will have to take Alcoa by 35 in this one. IF, Marion-Jasper can get 5 or 6 turnovers again like they did against Boyd, then they will have a chance, but if Alcoa brings their A game NO TEAM maybe with the exception of Maryville can beat them. I am sure all Marion-Jasper fans know all about them by now anyway. Maybe Alcoa will not take you seriously and you will have a shot. Goodluck guys, Your Ambassador will be rooting for you.

ambassador glad to see you can read. Think about this though that 450-150 in yards only added up to 6 points on the score board!!! That means we are going to the semi finals and it shows that our boys have accomplished what all but the Warrior faithful thought was impossible. Just keep that in mind when you are looking ahead to Fridays game.

Just a few thoughts for My Mighty Warriors....ye of little faith keep believing that our boys have no chance against Alcoa that is fine. While some of those non believers are sitting at home getting ready for basketball season our boys are still playing. I think it is just hilarious that some of those folks that have done nothing but dog The Might Warriors all season are all of a sudden their biggest fans Ha Ha Ha.....our boys know who has supported them all season and who really has faith that they can accomplish anything that they put their minds to! It has been stated that NO team is unbeatable and our boys know this and will work hard and play even harder come Friday night. We have a group of boys that have truly learned the meaning of playing as a Team, they know that it takes the entire team to win not just one or two players. They also have the heart and confidence in themselves that is needed to prove that they can compete with any team. So ye of little faith can continue to be no believers but I have a feeling when the WARRIORS prove you all wrong yet again on Friday we will see you also joining the MIGHTY PURPLE STORM band waggon. Shaking my head and laughing to myself I will welcome you in and will be glad to see you have finally seen the light!!!

Work hard this week WARRIORS and continue to prove all these non believers wrong!!!!!!

This will be a close game again this week and yet again MY MIGHTY WARRIORS WILL prove you all wrong again!!!

At this point it doesnt matter how many points the Pirates beat Marion... its not about that since there 2 loss's MC is undefeated.. and they are in the semi finals... POLL any warrior fan and ask them if they thought they would be in the semi's this year and just one of them says yes.. dont believe them... Boeck has done a tremendous job.. i have an idea lets Trade lol....

Thats the only reason I am here LadySquaw is to get everyone else fired up while I love football I don't love it nearly as much as Reaction...I too am sorry I didn't get to meet you so I could show you I am not as bad as I seem on here. Like I said I like to keep things rolling and keep people going...I knew Marion was a good team but if I didn't support our boys all the way then I wouldn't be a Boyd fan...haha!! Again I am sorry I couldn't be there from what Reaction told me you and MCHS were very nice to meet and who knows maybe next year...And trust me I was in contact with Reaction the whole time so I was getting a play by play...I hated that I had to leave for Knoxville earlier than expected but I also had my puppy with me and I don't think they would have let her in the game either...lol unless I paid $7 that is...

 

Anyways good job Marion and good luck next week...who knows you may catch me in the next thread rattling Alcoa's cage even though they are a home team...and you never know I may be at the game because I will be home for the holidays...

Congrats Warriors!! and to answer your question I'm pretty sure in Coach Colquette's 1st year he went 10-0 in first year and we lost to Meigs Co 1st round of playoffs. 1981 I think.

Last night the fans showed the boys the support that they deserve. You are so right the town really needs to pull together this week and show the boys we support them. A peprally on the squeare before the boys head out would be a great idea, wonder who we need to talk to about that?

I know it's a stretch for anyone to think an underdog for the last 2 games will come out with a W against Alcoa but anything is possible. We've been taking it one game at a time. If we get a butt whip'n we get a whip'n simple as that. But if you think we are going to bow down to you because you are the "Almighty Alcoa" you got another thing coming. We'll show up and give 110% If that's not enough it's not enough but we have come a long way and I'm proud of my former high school.

Our underdogs have proved them all wrong so far, so just let them think what they want. My favorite saying , "On any given day any given team can win" I truly believe this! No matter what happens next Friday night our boys can hold their heads up high because they accomplished what no one but us Marion faithful believed they could do. I don't know about anyone else from Marion but I will never stop believing in our boys, they have worked their tails off this year to get where they are at, without getting the respect they have earned. I give Coach Boeck props he has done an unbelievable job turning this team around. He gets my vote for Coach of the year! Does anyone know if there has been another team in TN that has had a record like Marion with a first year head coach? Just curious. Keep up the good work boys, I'll cheer you on till the end!!!!!

Sorry you couldn't make it to the game tonight I was looking forward to meeting you, like I told reaction maybe next year. keep rattling those cages and making the rest of us ladies on here proud!!! marion has to get some kind of offense going for next week and not rely on the kwan..... the fumble by beasley at the 1ft line was a sign of the kwan being on marions side ..... but marion didnt give themselves the kwan...nic hughes gave it to marion at the very start of the game when after the first fumble nic started throwin smack at the marion fans and being extremely cocky.... thats why he threw 3 picks ..... boyds fans are first rate .... thanks yall for being great hosts for an extremely great ballgame... this game totally reminded me of the marion/knox powell semi final from 1992 when we won 7-6..... good game bucs... congrats to all the boys with boyd including nic hughes (although he did what he did)

Hey now let's not dis the kwan, I kinda like having it on our side.....lol. Great game boys keep up the good work, like I said one game at a time boys, one game at a time!!!!

First off I want to say congrats to the Marion Co. Warriors on pulling out a hard fought win. This game was not easy, and I think everyone knew it going into the game no matter how much smack we talked on the boards this week. What a game. It was freezing, but def. worth being at this game. The defenses showed up when they needed too. Boyd absolutely killed themselves with turnovers. To have 6 turnovers, and only lose by 1 point shows how hard our boys fought. When Beasley came back in he gashed Marion Co. defense up. 4th quarter and it was 7-6 and I knew Beasley was going to get us another score, but an unlucky fumble on the 3 yard line said otherwise. I heard Boyd had like 400 yards of total offensne, but nothing to show for it. To the seniors this year, #63 you were a monster this year. Keep in contact. #12,#30, #25 heck of a season for all of you and good luck next year in whatever you decide to do. It is now time to get ready for next year underclassmen. We have a lot of players returning. Could be another special year. Good luck in Alcoa next week Warriors. I will be pulling for you.

 

It was also good to meet ladysquaw and MCHS at the game this evening. Great people. diehardpurplefan was also pointed out to me, and I heard about who nohope is.
