The biggest problem is that there are not a large number of African-American men or women teaching in the secondary schools. Outside of Metro and Memphis, there are not that many teaching. I have a friend who is African-American, and he wants to work in Metro while I have tried to get him to apply in Rutherford County. He wants to work in Metro to help kids like he was when he was at Antioch.

Won't be that much passing on Oaklands part. They run right at you by committee. They have 4 talented running backs that run the ball so it is hard to key on just one or two.

 

I look for this game to be VERY low scoring with the D's dominating the game. Anyone who is looking for a high scoring game is out of luck on this one.

Hey Eye, you sound like a mad parent, is this about you or are you a program guy. The Owls are playing in the third round against a very good football team and trying to make it to the Semi Finals. What the HECK!!!!! Every youngman on that team has a role and they all have a hand in the success of the program. Some Roles are larger than others but they contribute everyday.

well 2seam looks like youve been called out!!!!!!!! i agree we have the fastest recievers in the state "but maybe not the best" when our qb has hit these guys in the chest with the ball there's been alot of dropped balls, i think we should stick to what got us this far, polk running the ball and the defense we had up till about 2weeks ago, looks like the defense has changed some and not as good as the defense in the beginning just my opinion,

I agree #67 is one bad dude and make no mistake about it, if the owls offense ever plays up to par with the defense i pitty any team #36 will get double teamed as will #67, and watch out #38 and #33 linebackers will be in youre face, if we get the passing game down its scary for other teams. but we can not take any team lightly we are playing heritage this week and thats all we need to be concerned with

We had a good qb but once again if youre not a chosen one you dont get any playin time. the back-up qb last year brentley would have been a great asset.but you guys need to get off of reed he is playing qb because monroe chose him, we would all take it even if we couldndt perform. brady quit bringing youre letters to school showing everyone and worry more about what youre doing this year. the game is over lets move on, but before we do #36 smith awesome catch. #38 burrows big hits everygame, should be playin more on defense, #67 smith this guy unreal speed #21 zarzour great reciever lot of heart

who should be on the field that isnt? this isnt a recreational league. every single player has a role on the team. just cause a player doesnt get on the field doesnt mean he doesnt help the team. we played back ups against mcminn 2 weeks ago and got 14 points put on us quick. owls are 2-0 , stop complaining. we dont need the negative comments. coaches are doing a great job! if your kid isnt playin, im sorry. but do not get on here and make the program or coaches look bad. just cause a kid is in uniform on the sideline doesnt mean he is classified as depth. its harsh but true. primetime: you know there are kids on this team better at positions than what we've got out there, but their just not what the coaches are looking for, for instance there was a certain kid put in at a certain position, this kid has not played football for three years, he looked like he had not ever played, but the backs coach looks like hes dead set on using him, "for what" and yes we did get fourteen points scored on us but the key players were still out there when they scored, they were worn out, this is not meant to be a negative comment i'm just trying to get across that you need to keep these kids motivated, they are kids and i can promise you my kid would be considered depth, and also i'll voice my opinion whether you or anyone else likes it !!!!!!!!! i geuss i know a little about football and region 2 5A. I said owls by 20. Owls dominated every aspect of this game. Brady Reed played an excellent football game, way to go Brady! Keep practicing hard guys. Jaquez and the front four were impressive again. O line played well, keep getting better guys. also thought #7 Gerald Putnam had a good game. yes we are winning, we have the talent to win, and dont get me wrong we have a great coaching staff, butt let one of their kids set the bench when the scores are way up, would they complain, whats gonna happen as it already has kids are not gonna stay motivated to play. two years ago we had 90 players, one year ago we had 60 players, this year we have 45 players, next year who knows, maybe just the 6 or 7 we play the whole game both ways. you have seniors on the sidelines that are as good and sometimes better than youre starters and you put them in with a couple of plays left in the ball game, great motivation job. ooltewah is gonna win with the talent they have, so now why dont you let all of them win and not just youre chosen six

how can you say mcminn scored against ooltewahs 3rd string, the coaches play about 6 kids both ways the entire game, so you think youve got the best players starting whatever happened to rotating players keeping them fresh, the defensive line coach done a good job at rotating his players, the defensive back coach pittiful
