Stuck around. It was almost unreal. It wasn’t like he was just attacking the rim and finishing. He just kept drilling deep shots, contested, falling down, didn’t matter. I kept thinking okay, he can’t keep this up and Maryville has enough cushion that when he cools off they can hang on. Nope, never happened, he just refused to be denied.
Well now we know why he is 4star #33 player in the nation and a UCONN recruit.

We left when Imo was down by 29

92-42 Kell over Greeneville

I forgot to make predictions but I'd have picked Tabernacle.
Maryville blowout
Dorman
Mentor blowout
Harlan Co
Kell. Feel Greeneville lost too much from last year.
As for local teams I feel they may make it a game for a quarter but ultimately conditioning and overall skill will start to become a factor. There's some players local that start that would never even sniff the bench of some of these out of area teams.

Excited for this year

True. But I agree the biggest shock was TN high in the play in

Why does Tabernacle get stuck in the play in game every year? I like the match-ups of local vs non local.

I was off by 2. But way to go Hampton. You guys are the last ones standing.

Close game. Moog will keep it close and the game should be decided in the trenches

Rematch? I just want to get by Carter and Anderson County. We can worry about the rematch after we’ve earned it.
I said if.

If these two matchup again Greeneville wins for a second time . I thought home field advantage might favor elizabethton but after seeing Elizabethton's line get dominated up front and poor QB play I will stick with Greenville @ burley.

Eh same thing was said last time. EHS took a close one in the rematch. It's tough to beat a good team twice in a season and I feel EHS will take the rematch if they meet.

I think I’m going to be in Illinois but if I’m not you got a deal.
Don't you usually go hunting up that way around this time of the year?

Agree with you. For some reason I think SH AD might be from Elizabethton. Makes you wonder...
Doesn't matter who is coaching. If they don't get control over the whole program it won't work and SH and DB seem to be stuck neck deep in the Good ol boy mindset

Greeneville was in our backfield all night

Elizabethton fans, I have a conundrum for you. It seems to be almost universally accepted that it is very hard to beat a good team twice in a season, so if that is true wouldn't it be better to lose to the GREENE tonight and then get them in a few weeks when it really matters?
I said that the last time we played them twice. We lost regular season but I was ok with it because we got them back in the playoffs. But yes it is hard to beat a good team twice. If there was a game to lose I'd rather lose the season game than a playoff.

And the state titles we've lost were toss up games that could have gone either way. I think if we played 10 games against every 4a team we'd win 8 or 9 at minimum. Alcoa in 3a is the only team that could really provide a consistent challenge for Greeneville or EHS. I don't mention 5 or 6a as the teams that could challenge aren't super close to moving down. But Alcoa is the most likely to move up before a 5a team moves down or we move to 5a. Anyway these 2 teams know each other better than anyone else and it's usually been a pretty close game. But given homefield advantage and the internal issues at Greeneville I'm giving the edge to EHS.
-
Greeneville has looked more vulnerable this year than years past. But they are still Greeneville and dangerous. I feel we have the edge this year in every aspect and are a more balanced team. That being said I see a close game in our favor but a close Geeeneville win wouldn't surprise me either.

Anyone's game.

Science Hill keeps it rolling. Probably a close game either way

Struggling?

Not only that but there is people near me that has season tickets but never come.
That's what makes me mad. The waiting list is forever and you got people like that. Only times I ever sat home side was as a student. Other than that always visitor side

I did the book for Wesr ridge freshmen vs FB yesterday and was amazed at how good DB were. They won 80-44 with their best player out with an injury. They had good height and were aggressive and could shoot a nasty 3
