  1. Dang..biznazz...where were u all week. speaking of CLASSLESS...your band was still playing while your other player not sure his #....was injured and half your sideline was still standing ...But anyway..to the game...POOR PLAY CALLING ..on Indy's part...and penalites killed us! Gotta give it to Lee and Ford..they were obviously playing hurt...but pulled Franklin thru again...good halftime by your Band...and by the way..to your coach on top of the press box....GEEZ..thought he was gonna have a heart attack they way he was screaming in the headset..poor guy on the other end of that one !!!!!!

Yeah I did jump in kind of late...mainly due to me trying to keep my trap shut. But seriously...I dont know about our band director I only noticed the one injury, but when i hear the guy yelling at the top of his lungs...waaah waaah cry baby...I wanted to go yank him out of the stands. No Need for that at all.

Lee and Ford have had a rough year, but it was great to see them in the backfield again, doing their thing.

The halftime show by the band does give you chills...if you hear it..hats off to the FHS band,

I think this will be a great rivalry for years to come....Remember the boys on the field are still somebody's child...be respectful. I was disheartened by the constant bashing of your Smith player last year by a certain poster as well....

Good luck the rest of the season....Next up...Brentwood

  2. my prediction...

    arm chair scouting report...

Franklin- offense ready to explode at any time

    Independence- overall weak

winner is ...Franklin in a 20 pointer

You obviously have no idea what your talking about, indy will not get embarrased like it did last year for the 2nd year in a row. Indy is coming to play and is going to pull off the win at home.

Hmmmmmmmmm looks like the WILL NOT BE EMABARRASSED "..KINDA WENT DOWN THE TOILET...

  3. ....and once again...crickets over at the "Eagles nest"...talk it up then flap your wings and fly away.

First off..this is always been a great match-up.But for your fans..(Mainly two faculty members that left Franklin to go to Indy) to spear head a painting on your field? Gimme a break. (Last year they burnt Franklin t-shirts etc) class...real class.

And to the loudmouth in the Indy stands that was yelling classless things while franklin's Fletcher was down injured on the field...Your lucky you made it out of that stadium..CLASSLESS

and...where on Earth does Indy find there announcer's,OMG he was chirpin all first half and again...very very quiet after Franklin had had enough of the same play runnin eagles. Almost...ALMOST as bad as their announcer 2 years ago.

Hahahahaha D-1 recruits....being handled by 2nd string players...why dont you click your heels and recite there is no place like home" as well....

Just like last year your fans show up beginning of game and bail on you when things dont go right...most their fans were leaving when they were down 14-0...great fan base....Good luck NEXT year

  4. I have heard about this "3-back-combo" all off-season. And Frankly these running backs are not as good as the Rebel faithful believe. The great #4 is running like he is starting to read his own press clippings, in fact #2 & #5 carried the ball as if they all were buying into their own bull-&^%*. As of right now only one word can describe the Rebel backfield... "over-rated" let me say that again.

    Alex Ford is over-rated

    Kilo Lee is over-rated

    Sean Die is over-rated

Its 09' Franklin, and 08' is no longer relevant.

Let me add a couple more.

    Offensive line is overrated

Scratch that... the o line doesnt even deserve a rating

    Clayton and Webb are overrated

    Defensive line is overrated

    Linebackers are overrated

And what is this about a "baby g" ??

I have yet to see anything even closely resembling a Nichols

Hmmm I wonder who you and wilcoisbest support.....Lets take a stand to reason...Yes the Rebels looked a little out of sorts their first game...But what team doesnt in week zero? Rebel fans arent used to seeing a team that has struggled to get started..(They have lost a lot of starters from a championship contending team) Most would call it rebuilding.

I would say it is disheartening to say any of the above are..."Overated" I would take ANY OF THE ABOVE,on my team as my teammates...For ANY back to be productive you have to have an o-line. All but one started their FIRST high school game Friday night...Give them a break..they will gel...they will get to what they need to do...Thats why they have Coach's..Clayton/Ordung will get them up to speed...

Once the back gets to the secondary is what determines alot of his "Ratings" its mostly one on one and I think all of the above have PROVEN they have incredible talent.

As Far as Kuivenen , The QB....Im sure he doesnt appreciate being dubbed as "Baby G" . Nichols was a fine QB for franklin, but I remember his first couple years as "Having the deer in the Headlights" look. Its NATURAL. I think he had an "OK" game for his first start, he had some bright spots to add to his spots where he needs to learn...REMEMBER ..he is a Sophomore and playing his first solo game under the lights and eyes of over ten thousand fans.(Who wouldnt be nervous?)

Someone said...get over "08" this is "09" You are correct..Last year was a special team and will be hard to fill there shoes,...They can take the first step to being close to that team...They just need their fans and parents support.......GO REBELS !

  5. GAMEDAY!

go rebels and bring home that gold ball to WILCO!!

I along with many others have doubted your defense (especially your small D-line) all year.

but i have come to realize that this rebel team has more heart than any team i have ever seen play.

yes you will be outweighed by an average of about 40-50 lbs by their O-line but you have overcome

bigger obstacles this year! Watch out for #48, #40, and the wild man JERVIS Oakland!! theyre coming with intensity that you've never seen before!!

Thanks CHS and all the others that have come to support us....Go williamson county...we do have the best region!!!!!

    Go Rebs !!!!!!!!

  6. Alright boys and girls, ladies and gentlemen. It is officially game-day It is football time in Tennessee! You can not ask for more than this.

I took a few minutes this week to read and meditate on the "tag-teaming" comments from "RetiredRebel64" and "HoganKnows", and after much deliberation I stumbled upon my conclusion. "RetiredRebel64" is exactly what his name implies, he is a "retired" rebel. Meaning his years as a rebel have come and gone, and now he is trying to live vicariously through the 2008 team (because he could not get it done during his time). He is probably present at every Franklin game, and maybe...just maybe he gets a chance to work the "chain-gang" if Coach Clayton throws the veteran a bone. I would even go as far to group "HoganKnows" in the same box, they are more than likely two ex-bench-warmers who are still floating around Franklin sucking on Emperor Donnie Webb's ######.

Here is the problem Franklin, for the first time this year you all are a legitimate "under-dog", and that really gets under your skin. Everybody has picked you all to lose. The Tennessean picked Oakland, BigOnes has projected Oakland, and Oakland's players are getting all the press. All this pre-game hype is seriously eating away at you all isn't it Franklin? Oakland has been displayed as a physical powerhouse, they have flaunted this title all week long. All week long I suspected so much more from the Franklin Faithful, but they have run-away...in fear and realization of the future. Franklin is too busy worrying if Alex Ford can take the abuse?, will Keelo Lee be able to get outside?, will Nichols have time to drop back?, will our precious line be able to hold the flood-gates? Will our Defense match up?, are they big enough?, are they strong enough?, are they tough enough to play with these Oakland boys for 4 whole quarters? Franklin these questions will be answered soon enough...

Once more a worthless post by an idiot that has done nothing but fire up the Rebels since day one...He holds a grudge against Donnie Webb due to Donnie taking a girlfriend away from him in high school.....Keep posting Kingz..go dream about your sheep on another thread...

    GO REBELS....Brrrrrrrrrrraaaaaaaaaap

  8. Thanks for the kind words 71pops!

I was wondering how Smyrna racked up 35 points against Ravenwoods defense. They were pretty dominanting in the 2nd half in our game. Hopefully everyone stays healthy between WS and FHS so the winner (pulling reeeal hard for WS) can bring it in the final game!

Everything I've read about FHS makes them look like the real deal. And with the exception of one game, they have been unbeatable. I'm looking forward to the trip, and it'll be nice to experience some playoff football from the middle of the state. It should be a great atmosphere. If anyone wants to jump onboard the Spartans bandwagon, just grab some green gear and come on over! /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

What type of defense do yall run? Who are your key athletes and what positions?

Should be a great game...Good luck

  9. I am right here...I never left, I just lost interest. I am sorry but I will not stoop to the point of "publicly" endorsing the Franklin Rebels (as every other losing team has done).

Until next year, you all can keep kissing Donny Webb's "Oakland Patriots State Championship" ring, because he will never be able to replace it with a Franklin Rebel version.

your a putz and a loser....

  10. Boastful Brenwtood??? Over-Confident? Dizzy Dean once said "It aint braggin' if you can do it." Truer words have never been spoken.

Feisty Franklin? When I think of the word "feisty" I think about a team who is scrappy and will fight to win. Nothing about Franklin is "feisty" or "scrappy." A "feisty" team does not give a game away in the fourth quarter. A "feisty" team does not fold-like-a-chair when the region championship is on the line.

Franklin fans will swarm this board name-dropping and talking about revenge, but let me tell you Rebels a few things. Your "poster-boys" #4 , who you all tote as the "best running combo in the state", but those two could not find their way around or through the B-Wood Defensive front, which in turn meant you O-line was not able to push our front-7 around. #9 (Mr football candidate) we saw, and conquered one "Mr. Football" last week.

How can you call Franklin "feisty"??? How is a Defense who could not get off a single block, "feisty"??? How is a Offensive backfield that could not get outside our Defense more "athletic"??? How is an O-line who continually missed blocks, "Feisty"???

When I think about the Franklin Rebels, I think about what they called the Hendersonville Commandos this past weekend..."OVER-RATED"

FEISTY IS AS FEISTY DOES......have a good holiday

  11. Sounds like a good idea. Georgia plays all of its semifinal games at the Georgia Dome. (They can almost pack the stadium so it pays for itself) All of the finals are played at home stadiums depending on the bracket. The stadium has to hold a certain size though.

Well they dont have to be a certain size if they cannot get anyone to attend because of their poor planning. It really does not make sense, work hard all season to have te championship game not live up to the hype that its supposed to be.

Remember This is the dream that all of our kids have dreamed about all of their football lives...going to a championship game...playing in a packed house....

Kinda like telling a girl that her wedding will be held at a Motel 6...but hey...we'll leave the light on for ya//

  12. SarahPalin,

You are the reason that topics on CoachT get way off track, and some topics end up being completely pointless. I am not a Hendersonville fan, I'll just tell you I am a Franklin fan. Why don't you stop rebutting whatever they have to say about anything, and take into account that Yazzie is a good player, maybe not SEC or Big 12, but definitely a lower level D1 school, or D1AA school. Just give him some credibility, because while he was playing on Friday night, your Independence Eagles were at home, and apparently he is the main reason for HHS's success on Friday nights. Also, stop saying that Campbellsville is a quality program because Indy players have gone on to play there. It's annoying. You're annoying. Also, change your name because Sarah Palin is an idiot.

Its no use.....he's changed his name twice in the last three weeks...because people get onto him about him promoting himself as An ex- Notre Dame player, a High school Offensive coordinator for 15 yrs and him having all this authority about scouting...(but hangs out on high school football threads)

His education didnt get him to Notre dame, check out his spellings and sentences, and he is very juvenile by challenging people to meet him to discuss his successes...we know who he is...who his brother is and how his brother got him everything he has...He has some knowledge but discredits himself when he gets so juvenile about everything...He singles out high school kids from Nick Smith to Nick Yazzie..Its like he has 2 different personalities...

  13. Like someone has already pointed out. Nothing is certain in the playoffs. Especially when these two teams meet. I can safely guarantee that this will be one incredible game and anyone who can should make the drive to see it. Good luck to both teams. Heres hoping Franklin continues to roll.

After last nights games, are there any key players who will not be playing for either team next week?

Well if we were from Centennial...we would be saying...the qb has broken his leg and the rbs werent at school, the TE is on crutches...f9d

  14. Yazzie? What was that, that you said? An easy game?

Anyways, good job Franklin on the win. You could obviously tell how frustrated Hendersonville was when they got the late hit penalty? That wasn't even an accidental late hit, it was completely blatant, and to get up and talk trash about it is completely out of line. Good job to Hendersonville for losing any respect that I ever had for them, and for showing no class.

^spectator beat me too it, I know.

If Im not mistaken , it was the fruity #55 not 25...correct me if I am wrong

  15. And you are?.............

First of all...I must apologize to CHS 2007...I was confused with another centennial poster who i will not "Call out" as far as making bonehead posts.

Secondly, I was just upset that Chaz's info was leaked onto the thread. I still believe that should be left in the locker room..
