congrats to covington and coach real. it was a well deserved win. i have much more respect for him than it appears from my post. i am suprised to see that you being 4DHS chose john wooden and pat summit instead of james 'the legend' counce and his son as your hypothetical dream coaches at dyersburg. i thought they took lemons and made lemonade. they probably could have came up with a way to beat mccord. anyway the choctaws live to play another game. we need to get our focus back and step up. the boro is awaiting

covington may be quick but last time i checked mccord owns neon deon in head to head. wasn't it three double digits losses last year when he was at dyersburg? coaching makes a big difference this time of year and we have the advantage. dc by eleven in this one
In reference to your comment about Coach Real being owned by Mccord... TALENT also plays a part.... Dyersburg did not have the talent to play with DC last year or this year so if they (DHS) had been coached by the great John Wooden with Pat Summit as the assistant .....Dyersburg still would have lost....... Coach Real left because of a great opportunity and he knew what kind of talent Covington had coming back....also Coach R.... lost to Northside twice doing the regular season so .... his team is peaking at the right time......
So I don't think Coach McCord owns Coach Real... not yet let's hope they get to play a few more games with some talent on both teams and see what a difference coaching makes..... /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />

thats exactly how it ended as i heard it on the radio. thanks purple.
we hate to lose, and i hate it even worse that i couldnt be there because of strep throat, but our season it not over.
monday night will be fun, win or lose. ive never been to innercity memphis, as neither have many Dyer County fans. im sure the people at BTW will be very hospitable to us.
good luck to Covington against sheffield.

DC good luck going to BTW......on Monday and bring your A+ game because I can bet BTW fans have not forgotten there two games at the reservation the past two years they will be gunning for you.... Covington won in overtime by about 10 or so points. Don't know the final score, just what a friend told me that was at the game.

Coming from a school that has had a revolving door of coaches in the last few years I don't think I would talk. You WISH he would leave.
No harm intended but all of you have entirely too much time on your hands. I am amazed at how everyone on here is constantly bad mouthing each other teams, school coaches. players....etc..... I think that most of you are adults please act like it.
A good team brings great fan support .......... and fans come out of the woodwork.....4 yrs ago.... you could count on one hand the number of DC fans at the district tournament and at many of the DHS games... the support was NOT there I don't care how you CLAIM YOU SUPPORTED them. I remember 4 yrs ago the district was held at DHS and Froedden was coaching...... you could count the DC fans at their first round lost. So rather DC success is long term or short lived..... and rather their fan support is due to their recent sucess the fact is they are at the top now and I would rather see a fellow Dyer County team having this success then any other school in these parts however DC please remember the same people you past getting to your lofty perch you will past them again on your decile back down...... (if that should happen and NO I am not wishing that on you ...so please do go there)
I am a DHS fan, I love the school and everything about it, if kids want to go to DC, Lake County, GC ...Union City or where ever and for what ever reason... I say good luck and rather they are coached by McCord or Pat Summit.........great! but let's not be so mean to one another I think that many of the adults are more radical and vengeful then the kids I do realize that a lot of the OLDER DC fans... have a very bad taste for DHS for the years of Trojan domination and now you are having your moment in the sun and I say ENJOY...... but can't we all just get alone?

And this guy thinks Covington could do what with DC? I can tell you.............NOTHING!!!!!!!!!! I watched Covington play Dburg 2X and weren't impressive with those victories. Like'em or not (DC) they have 1 loss and they are a hard working bunch of kids. How many out of state teams has Covington played? What were the results?........................Hmmmmm.......The kids played the schedule they were dealt, just like last year. And are winning. What's the point dlove is trying to make? What do ya think adsmom? By the way, I hope you read the message I left for you on my profile pg.
Correction ..... Correction ...... I don't think you saw DHS play Covington 2X's ..... we only played them one time and that was in Covington......on Dec. 19 (birthday that's how I remember the date)

which haywood coach is coming with him?
that is just a rumor this board is full of rumors. If he does bring one I hope it is one that can coach pass defense... and is pretty good at it that has been a thorn in the flesh of the Trojans for the past few years. I think we made a good choice and I believe that everyone is already getting on board.

He is now D-burg's new head coach.
It does not seem to bother the Haywood fans very much that their coach is leaving.... that is sort of strange especially since the guy had a winning record and had been at the school for seven yrs.

I liked Darren...I think what he has done at OC and UC is amazing...He was in a "NO WIN" situation at Dyersburg when Logan Parker came down....That was THE TEAM everybody had been waiting on since they were in 8th grade...and Bowling WASN"T a discipilnarian....Kennedy was his hatchet man...
That being said...Hope Stowe does alright...He is OUR COACH now...So we have to SUPPORT him...Word is he is bringing a RATHER LARGE African American coach with him...I have heard the kids talk and they say...THIS GUY IS HUGE...and they think he is gonna be part of Stowe's staff...wonder who he is?...
Maybe it is one of his two black assistants at Haywood... Coach Seymour or Coach Beard both former Haywood High alums and Coach Seymour played at the U of M if I am not mistaken and Beard at TSU..
