Does anyone know if station camp is suppose to be any good?

I seen the game last night and boy was Oakland explosive!

The D was GREAT and the O was clicking.

 

Oaklands D is FAST and can HIT

No very young and lack experience. Picked by many to finish last with Portland

Just did some checking out of the 17 total posts from bhspg12, all 17 have been negative about station camp and 10-12 have said something about the staff. If your not a player then your worse a player's parent and you need to GET A LIFE and give up the ol high school memories and let everybody else enjoy hs athletics. Good idea GO GET A TEACHING JOB AND BECOME A COACH, you do it so well on here. Another idea if you have a another child in the school system please please please dont keep them in the sumner co school system. I for one dont want to hear your thoughts in the crowd at any game. Another idea, man up and tell us you dont like the staff and just get it over with. Then all the true John Jenkins fans and fans of the county teams and go back to celebrating our high schools. By the way, one of them is still playing on Monday!

Just curious, who would you have played bhspg12 that the coaches didnt? I know for a fact you didnt play at beech bc joines would have taught you more class than that as would have all the other county coaches, where did you play again or did you? Its easy to bash a coach on a computer especially when you dont coach. I seem to remember in the LA/SC game last yr Dunn had a great 4th, the SC PG turned the ball over three times inside the last minute and the other guard (fast athletic kid) missed a couple of free throws late also. This yrs team had john jenkins some srs that had alot of heart but were not great scorers or shooters, started two sophs and played a freshman in the post. Its funny you wait until SC gets put out to make a comment on the john jenkins board that has been up all year. Were you waiting until they got eliminated to make yourself look like a genius? From a guy that watched a lot of bball this year seems to me the staff did pretty good. Won district reg and post season, split with Gallatin, beat the same Upperman team earlier in the year. One last comment if you are a former player like the other gentleman suggests SHUT UP and get over yourself and support the school that is on your letterman jacket and diploma or GIVE THEM BACK!!!!!!!!!! The coaches in this county do a great job and I for one would like to see them supported! They are way behind other counties in pay and win a ton of games with much less talent. Hville, Gallatin, White House are all under coaches that have been to the state tourney and SC and Beech have both been to the sectionals under the current staffs.

Great to see Coach Beaver fall on his feet. He is now at Station Camp and it looks like he is bringing Coach Brooks with him. Great hires by coach hollingsworth (sp?)

The specific awards are voted on by each head coach in the region. For example, region mvp. The other names are selected individually by each team. I believe that each team is given a specific number based on position they finish in the region which their staff puts on the all region team that is not voted on. White House 6, Station Camp 5, Dekalb 4, on down the line.

They show there age on the FB field when they lack discipline on the FB field. That comes directly from the coaches. Had a WH player done that, they'd sit the bench the rest of the game & have to earn their way back into the line - up the following week. That was pure unsportsmanlike for a whole 5 minutes. Purely pathetic, sorry, cry babies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've seen that once before. SC a few years back when we had Ricky Ladd & SC had Randall Toney. SC was down & Toney slung Ladd out of bounds by his face mask. A few plays later, he tackled Ladd & when Ladd tried to get up, he punched Ladd in the throat. Your coach needs to instill some discipline. I hate playing SC just because of that. Otherwise, it could be a great rivalry.

So what I need to do then is get directions to where the White House football team practices on Monday and go watch the team get their running punishment for the extra curricular scenes after the play. Here is the point Im making; the teams in Sumner County are GOOD bc of the coaching staffs they have. To call out another teams staff when you know nothing about the program is a joke. For example lets look at the way every team in the county finished

5A- Hville 1 Gallatin 2

4A Beech 1 (Portland) not so good finish

3A White House 1 SC 2

2A Westmoreland 2

I also believe in the first round every team won except Gallatin for a record of 4-1. Second round 3-2 Third 1-2 with SC losing to another SUMNER CO. team and Beech losing to a team that is playing next Sat. Fourth 0-1 with WH losing to the team that will be favored to win next week. Chew on this Sumner County fans; combined record of all teams except Portland 51-9 with only two of those loses not coming to another Sumner Co team, Alcoa and Smyrna. Also another point if the coaches from White House think the class of the SC staff is what you say it is according to coacht why would they sign them up for the next four years. Gate money is not worth getting D1 players hurt on throat slashes, late hits, elbow drops, facemasks, and straight up no class. I think the real reason so many fans from White House hate SC is SC has been able to compete with them like Portland use to. In the 4 yrs yall two have played each team has had the better team twice. I for one look forward to all the Sumner County teams next yr playing each other bc I will give every staff their due and look forward to seeing the teams battle it out. Also to see how the COACHING STAFFS prepare and get their teams better in the off season.

Lesson learned 15-18 year old kids will show their age sometimes when they are faced with tough situations they are kids! I by no means will say that a couple of plays will define a player much less a staff and a program.

Will be released on Monday from what I heard and I also believe the region banquet is Dec 15.

I believe Catholic will move up next year correct me if I am wrong. Just curious how do other sumner county teams match up against catholic? I ask this because all the sumner co. teams except wh and westmoreland could see them next year. Im looking for an unbiased opinion. For example:

Gallatin's team spead

Beech's run game and speed on defense

Station Camp's running game and run defense

We don't get to see much from the east tn teams that are power houses in the large classes bc our current 5A teams go west and so do our 4A teams.

Sorry the direction has turned away from what was an excellent high school football game. Hats off to White House for a great game. I was very impressed with your team for about 47:58 until things got a little testy at the end. I don't know whether there were 10 D-1 football players in blue but there were certainly that many that can/could play on Saturdays somewhere. As others stated about 10 pages ago, Catholic makes very few mistakes and makes you pay if you do. This Catholic team just keeps on winning. Good luck Irish-one more to go!

Is this the same person? I thought I was talking to bison4. Go back and see if i said ANYTHING about SC coaches or players not having any class.......Dont waste your time because I never said it. Every player will loose their cool. Im sure if KC would have lost they would of probably dont the same thing. When you go that far you put alot of effort and emotion into every play. Good luck Polk!! Seniors leave it all on the field friday night and play hard hitting ball like yall have all year. Also seniors be the leaders friday night make statements with your hits and sportsmanship. I really hope polk pulls this off they got the heart and that polk Pride. The defense will play great like always and the offense will have to step up this week for polk to win the defense can't do it all. Station Camp is going to score points but I don't think as many as everyone is saying its going to be close the polk offense has to play well for polk to win. Station Camp has lost to a 5A Region Champ in Hendersonville, a 4A Region Champ in Beech by 1, and White House the region champion in SC's region by 1. Hendersonville has one loss to Beech, Beech has one loss to White House, and White House one loss to Alcoa. How does Polk Co.'s schedule compare. I think it is safe to say they have played teams that play hard nosed defense and great offenses

This is why people don't respect the fans from White House; not the players or the coaches. Is this really a topic? Congrats your team won the region! By the way, 8 teams in each class win the region. That makes you just like 40 other teams across the state not counting DII. Tennessee state football is very weak compared to other states. Four teams in each region make the playoffs! The new format next year will make it worse. TSSAA should go ahead and let every team play in the playoffs bc they just want the money anyway.

Polk Co. has average high school football players that play way above their heads bc they have a great coaching staff who gets the best out of their team. The program gets great support from the administration and community. They are a school with only 500 students playing up from 2A. With all that being said Station Camp has way to much size and speed for Polk. Friday night will not take anything away from a class program but Station Camp wins easy and the game will be out of reach around half. Station Camp 36-6. Station Camp will then probably have to travel to a fast and more athletic Howard team in Chatt. Polk did play one of their best games against Howard.

IM NOT SURE BUT I THINK HE MAY BE A LITTLE OVER 1300 YARDS. HE DIDNT REALLY HAVE ALOT OF YARDS EARLY IN THE YEAR BUT LATELY HE'S BEEN BREAKING OUT. OF COURSE WHITE HOUSE HAS A VERY GOOD RUNNING GAME . WHITE HOUSE ISN'T ONE DIMENSIONAL LIKE ALOT OF OTHER TEAMS WHO CAN ONLY DO ONE THING (RUN OR PASS). TROX DIDN'T GET A GOOD OPPURTUNITY TO SHOW HIS ARM AGAINST ALCOA BECAUSE OF THE RAIN. I THINK HE COULD'VE PUT UP SOME DECENT NUMBERS IN THAT GAME. HUNTER POTETE IS A VERY GOOD QB AT DEKALB AND I THINK SMITH CO MIGHT HAVE A GOOD ONE ALSO . HENDERSONVILLE'S QB THROWS ALOT SO HE MIGHT HAVE SOME GOOD STATS AS WELL. I THINK TROX HAS A GOOD CHANCE TO PLAY AT A BIG COLLEGE SOMEWHERE AS A QB AND HE ALSO HAS A BIG TIME LEG AS A PUNTER.

One thing is for sure in this series between the Bison and White House, you guys can't stop the Wing-T, the series is 2-2 with both having a region title. A SC back has rushed for over 100 yards each year and at least three of those years it has been over 200. See Randall Toney who had at least 450, 200 in first half his sr year and over 200 the year SC went 1-9 and Hunter Tope who had 230 plus Friday. I would say him running all over you is the reason he was getting up slow in the third and fourth quarter and nothing to do with the mighty Blue Devils. Parker putting one big hit on him in 23 carries; he should he plays defense. To say that Payne is better than Tope is a joke looked at totals for the year. Payne rushed for under 100 yards and I believe according to the paper the other SC back Heard out rushed him. You guys keep living in 1997. Congratulations on the Region Championship you kids and staff earned it but yall running your mouth takes away from them, but some times the next meeting does not go as planned in this series. Why do you always use weather as an excuse, Alcoa and Station Camp? Problem is you thought White House would beat Alcoa and roll Station Camp according to your predictions. Now before you go and get emotional I stated facts not opinions.

What about the Station Camp vs. Beech game? Looks like Station Camp has improved each week. Also, does Station Camp have their qb back that was an all region player last year? Alot has been said about the Dekalb offense but how is there defense? Is there D faster or bigger than in years past?
