I do hate this situation for the kids but what has been going on at GCA has been going on for a long time as far back as 2003 You cannot treat people and do the things that have been done and not have it come back to you its like the saying goes what goes around comes around and GCA is getting everything that the coaches and adminastration deserve. It was only a matter of time before things catch up with you and so it has. To all the kids Im sorry you have to suffer for the what the people at the top have done

Rumor has it that Grace will not play in post season games for two years in football and basketball and one year in all other sports for boys and girls due to kids tution being paid i just heard this from some of the Grace kids what is everyone else hearing

The issue with no. 5 from Grace does stem from last year I was at the playoff game with Greenback and he pulled one of his typical outrages and took a few swings at a Greenback player when things got rough and wasnt going his way and he was ejected so im sure he is sitting out the first game for that reason

Had nothing to do with the KCS kids that was all approved. It was the florida transfer and just an error made on a form, nothing done on purpose just didnt have a full understanding of the rule and was self reported by Grace.
saying a kid had moved to the state but not with his parent dont seem how that is much of error that seems to me something you would no that a kids parents did not move with him

the wannamaker issue is true 100 % and i heard that lamb forge information on the kid from florida and said the kid had moved and that he lived 20 mins from he school which he did just with another grace student while the parents were still living in florida and that the tssaa investegated and the basketball team is going to have to forfiet all games after december so look out football program you may be next looks like what evryone has being saying may be true after all recruiting

This is an honest question that deserves an honest answer. I don't know your affiliation with Grace. I don't know if you are a player, parent, coach, or staff member. But here's my question... do you REALLY think it's necessary to hang 79 pts. on a team like TSD? Seriously, we aren't going by the BCS standards what could this have possibly accomplished for Grace. Were you looking to take out your frustrations after losing to both Carter and Farragut. If that's the case take it out on somebody other than TSD. I mean come on the name says it all Tennessee School of the Deaf. I like the way Greenback plays TSD they use their second string and they let TSD leave with alittle pride. Why don't you guys take a lesson from the rednecks and show alittle class next time. It's funny you did the same thing to Oakdale in football... doesn't feel that great when you're on the other side now does it?

im right there qwith keesball i dont know what they are tryiong to prove when they run the score up on these weaker teams i guess it is because it gets them in the newspaper alot and makes them look good in the rankings i hope that maybe one day that will learn to show some class and not treat teams the way they do but it is like the old saying what goes around comes around and they will get theirs in the end

where are all the ram fans not much posting since last nights game i guess not much to say when you get thumped after having such of an awesome season against your regular season opponents. GB showed you were your really at and how far you hav to go but im sure you will get some more transfers for next year and that will help your program to be even better so work hard during the offseason and see what you do next year in your new region because it sure is not the same one you had this year.

seems like you can't shut your mouth mother teresa I guess if the kid did this, I don't know I was not there he did mess up and just because they are kids from a christian school doesn't mean they don't make mistakes well the last time I checked and I'm a christian I have messed up and I guess you guy's from greenback are mother teresa's and never make a mistake read your bible sweet heart even the man closet to God's heart messed up oh I guess your boy's are setting no examples what are they all lost going to h_ll and you have to save the grace team . i'm sick of every time a group of people as your character come to Grace to play you hear let's beat these little christian boy's . like we are not suppose to play football the way other teams do please. Other teams come picking a fight so please shut your mouth you are making me sick and to complain about the way to get out I have been to many of a game and it was hard to get out . You don't go around trashing schools like that . I hear alot of jealousy from alot of people please. Yes kids do mess up but how amny times is this kid going to be allowed to mess up i know of a least 4 or 5 other games were he has done the same thing and everyone knows it i was at the game and about 3 minutes before # 5 had his (mess up - haha) someone made the comment that it would not be but jsut a few mins before # 5 would try and start a (mess up) and that is excatly what happened but i guess when you catch long passes that is all that matters THANKS AGAIN GB KEES FOR HANDING OUT A BUTT KICKING

Don't know what game you were watching because Greenback had all their starters in(both sides) until 1:34 left in the game. Congratulations on the win but get your facts straight.

I have my facts right i was there on your sideline watching the game and GB started putting in the younger kids after the 2nd series in the 3rd quarter and it was not hard to tell the clean white uniform from the kis that had already played but even if the had left starters in no diffeerent than what you guys have done all year to the 0-10, 1-9, 2-8 teams that you guys played the kees just kicked your butt jus as everybody knew they would

Well the mighty Grace Rams went down as everyone perdicted 61-36 but it was much worse than the score as Greenback totally controlled the game through out and Greenback called the dogs off the second series of the 2nd half by putting in the 2nd and 3rd teams on defense but did use the 1st team off after each time Grace scored. The Grace coach should thank Greenback for it not being worse than it was. Congrats to the Kees as you showed them what region 2 is all about the game went just as i expected it to my score predicition was 49 - 14 but i did not think the 2nd team for Greenback would go in so early but they did so anyway good look next week to kees and indians as both are very good teams either team will repersent our region well.
Grace loses big 61- 36 go kees!

Another hater, we won the Region as set forth by the TSSAA rules, no need to debate it.....
not debateing you did win it by the rules set fourth by tssaa but your strength of schedule ranks 59th out of 61 and ill say it again if hampton or cosby had graces schedule they would have gotten the tiebreaker set fourth by tssaa hamptons strength = 8th out of 61 and cosby = 46 out of 61 your schedule was so weak that your jv squad could have went a possible 9-1 or 8-2 with you guys losing to hamton and cosby

I think you can throw that turned a team around stuff out when you talk about Grace , They did not turn anything around they just changed personnel. I think coach Turbyfield did the most with the least talent , Coach Shelton and his team won more than ANYONE thought they would, And ole JC watched Mike rebuild Hampton this year /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
old24eagle i agree 100% grace did not turn anything around they had a lot of clinton karnes powell and other kids transfer in to the program in just a year that many decided they wanted to come to grace but the coach that they had before started turning things around went from 0-10 to winning 2 games his first year and then making the playoffs his 2nd year and they fired him and said in the paper they appreciated what he had done for the program but they were going in a different direction what direction did that want to go went from winning nothing to making playoffs i guess that was the wrong direction

actually not this week the tssaa sent us our first region champs trophy so we were outright and we got 1# seed
you did get the # 1 seed and the trophy but thanks to the schedule that was set up by the previous coach you guys won the tie breaker. overall record of the teams that hampton, cosby and grace played.
Hampton 52 wins 48 loss winning % 52%
Cosby 40 wins 60 loss winning % 40%
Grace 34 wins 66 loss winning % 34%
so now i guess it is easy to see why grace won the tie breaker

as a new poster can I ask where you learned of this FACT is it in the TSSAA rules because I can't find it, again i don't want to come on too harsh and make enemies just trying to find out.
Good question horstMuleman i also looked on line in the by laws and no where did i find a rule stating any such rule about the principle or Ad being able to sign off i did read all of the above rules i posted and that it had to be cleared by the tssaa directors so ramfan if you could find that rule and let me know where to go look at it i would aappreciate it and i am sure a lot of other people would also that has tried to transfer and has had to sit out a year sounds like a nice loophole if it is actually out there

well lets talk football gb 49 gca 14 gb has a big edge in this one better skill players and more speed than gca #24 is the only player with close ability of gb wish i could be there to see it in person but i will be out of town so i will get the big butt kicking score over the redio or internet and go GREENBACK KEE'S

Here is just a few tssaa rules you can go and look at yourself if you would like it is under am i eligible:
Athletes must live at home with their parents.
?· In order for a transfer student with an athletic record to be eligible at another school there must be a bona fide change of residence by the athlete's parents.
?· All transfer students must be approved by the Executive Director of TSSAA before participating in any game.
?· A student who engages in three or more days of practice - including spring practice - with a high school in which he or she is enrolled shall be ineligible in that sport for 12 months if the student enrolls in another school without a corresponding change in the residence of his or her parents

No, you are wrong. Our team is a family...from the coaches down to the cheerleaders and fans, this is a special place and I'm proud to be just a small part of it... That is why kids WANT to come to GCA. The kids that transferred didn't HAVE to sit out for a year...that was what Clinton's wonderful athletic director did to these kids!
As far as the game goes, we know that Greenback is good and that it will be a good game.....We also have faith and know that our RAMS will be ready....
no when you transfer by tssaa rule you have to sit out a year unless your parents jobs allows you to swith or you move more than so many miles away from where you were living and i have no doubt that you r a family and very close but how many in your family actually live around close by to the school did all the clinton transfers move to karns or the kids from karnes parents get hired at the school or the ones from powell parents get hired if not did they move more than i thhink 30 miles from where they lived before if not then mandontory 1 year sit out. if that is why they wanted to come to gca why did they not come two years ago when they hired the greenback coach with all is accompolishments we know why.

what folks are you yslking sbout the one that shouts at other teams players on the field and runs the score up on weaker teams late in the game with first team players now that is the kind of people you wanna be around and i hope that GB shows your team what it is like to play a team with a winning record since you only played the one team with a winning record which was Cosby which you should ahve lost to

There's been a lot said about Grace's lack of class, sportsmanship, etc. on this board. I was at the game Friday night and saw one of the most discouraging events I've seen in high school athletics. When 3 high school coaches take off to the fence in a clear attempt to fight fans from the opposing school, disciplinary action needs to be taken. I'm referring to a call made in the 1st quarter against Coalfield and 3, not 1, not 2, but 3 of their coaches had to be physically held back by players and other sideline personnel to keep them from getting to the fence. Sure, you could argue that Grace fans shouldn't be on the fence behind the opposing team, and I would somewhat agree with you. However, coaches are to set an example, and coaches are NEVER to listen to or react to fans words.
I grew up in Coalfield as a kid, back when Coalfield was respected and had a great winning tradition and a program that was known for its sportsmanship. Somewhere in the last 15 years or so that has changed. I was at the Coalfield game in the regular season when we played them down at their place. That was one of the worst displays of sportsmanship that I have ever seen. Yes, we had 2 unsportsmanlike penalties, one that shouldn't have been called, the other was a good call. Those calls pale in comparison to the play of the Coalfield players. They played as poor a game as I've seen with regard to sportsmanship. I once was proud to be associated with Coalfield, however, after the regular season game and the playoff sideline incident, it is clear that I was proud to be associated with a program and a community that has changed and forgotten its roots. Not only has Coalfield forgotten how to be good sports, they have leaders on the sidelines that are teaching their players that its ok to act like thugs and their first reaction should be to fight.
You can speculate about "class" and we can go against each other all day long on that issue. However, when you send a team on the field led by classless coaches that attempt to fight fans DURING a game, there needs to be something not only said, but done about that. I hope the Coalfield High School staff and Athletic Director address this matter.
who was it lets gets some facts not just i saw or i heard because i was there watching also and saw no kind of incident your talking about and talk about clas your coach showed some dident he up 35-6 and he is throwing the ball with 6 or 7 minutes to go to up the score to 42 thats real class there but thats what he has been doing all year so coalfield should not have expected anything less

Not sure if that was directed at me, but like I said in my first post, I am not with either team. I was just there as a spectator.....and happened to be standing close to where this incident occured.
what coaches was it cause i was there to watch also and i did not see what you are talking about so if it happened lets give some facts not just i saw, what did the grace fans do or say to start the incident lets hear it

That's what happens when you have a school in a big city that everyone would like to attend, you pull from several different communities. It just so happens that we are single A. I can assure you that our "Grace" community is tight and strong, just as other communities around east TN.
your team is not a community it a metropolis and it is strange to me that all of a sudden kids from all over the big city or city and other communities decided to come to grace the head coach comes in and kids from clinton decide to come to grace set out a year and play for one, but not when you had a coach that was there that had 30 yrs experience won a state championship and had been to the playoffs many times we all know what is going on you can say what ever and try to deguise it any way you want but we as fans are not stupid and you will get a taste of playing a good team friday night instead of the o-10, 1-9, 2-8 teams you have been playing

Yeah, I think you made a good desision, nothing like 1a football. Its little small communities where everyone know everyone. The support and enthusiam can be something else. If you lose this week ,go and check out the round 3 game next week. You will be impressed. Nothing like it.
pujo i agree 100 percent about the 1a programs and the small communities but grace would not know about that they have players from clinton, karns, powell, oliver springs, knoxville christian school,and thats not to small a community they are not playing with just community kids like GB, Harriman Hampton cosby coalfield and the rest of the schools in region 1and 2 thats real community 1a football

Well i must put in my take on this and i work with a guy that said this has been going on since back in at least 2004 his son played there and he watched and listened has to what went on and his son was one that had tution paid for along with a few others so it not like it is something that has just happened in the last year or so and the way people have been treated (well it is like the old saying what goes around comes around and Grace it is coming around )
