Best hint yet! Heard the same thing. Wish they'd go ahead and announce it if it's a done deal like people say.

The only problem I see is Mark Williams is in Wells old teaching position. And the other Science spots are all teachers that have been there a while. When the Williams brothers came to SHS this year they had a temp in that spot. I may be wrong, I felt that the big boss wouldn't take Coach Matt back. Either way Coach Wells is a good DC and would help any program. I really like our current DC and the way our boys play under him.

Actually there was a biology/chemistry position open for Smyrna posted on the RCS website. The deadline to apply was yesterday.

The job posting ends today and if it becomes public record like I've heard some people say, does anyone have an idea when we'll hear the names that have applied for the job?

This season went amazingly good and its one i'll never forget!! we went further this season than anyone ever expected, BE PROUD!! For anyone who was at the game friday night knows that the score on that bored meant much more than two numbers, knows that the boys on that field worked harder than ever in the 20 degree weather>>The tears shed,hearts broke,and dreams not fully lived,things seen on friday night>>one thing i kept saying over and over between my tears was "we were so close, we were so close" and that i still believe...But on the bus ride home as i sat and looked at the men who were once boys i heard nothing but the sound of tears and prayers. Every man on that bus kept their head high because even though they realized what they just lost they also realized what they gained. They found a family, brothers who will be there for them no matter what, and an experience of a life time that they will never forget!! To all the seniors: Laith Al-Tamini, Jarvis Hicks, Tyler Eady, Nathan Cantrell, James Eichel, Dakota Brown, Cody Hagar, Chris Yoder, Sean McKay, and Westley Cadena are just a few: Smyrna will miss you and know everyone has enjoyed this journey with you and you will never be forgotten>>>you're always apart of the family.

Dakota Brown is just a junior so he'll be back.

Were there any repercussions from antics after the game on Friday or was it swept under the rug?

Heard someone from Siegel say that none of their players were punished. Not sure about Blackman.

I heard that a certain fellow is willing to give up administrative duties to take this team over right now ? Any truth to this one?

Have you ever seen a more blah crowd on Blackmans side? Everyone there new what was coming. I knew what was coming. The confidence of the fans is gone. We all know that the coaching is so bad that we can not overcome it. The kids did give a heck of an effort. Offense gave their all. Defense gave their all. No imagination on offense. If it don't work, do it again, maybe it will eventually work. Changes are definitely needed, but evidently nobody is capable or have the kahunas to make changes.

 

Wilson Central has a great team. Looked very well coached. I would trade coaching staffs today and I don't know anything about their coaches. I seen enough to know that they can coach and I've seen enough of Blackmans coaches to know that they can't.

WOW!! I can't believe this post is still here. Everytime something is written that really tells it like it is, it manages to disappear. I agree with Blazeallthewaze 100%. The kids have worked very hard this year and it's a shame that when they step on the field that they really don't stand a chance because of coaching. The strongest kid on the team last year was cheerleading Friday night. He's not the only one that has left. I do applaud the ones that are sticking it out. It's bad and the players know it and the fans know it. How long is it going to take the administration(they have to know too!)to do anything about it.

You can take this or leave it coming from and outside of the Blaze program. A Blackman coaches did not miss one block or tackle in the game Friday night. They did not jump offside or hit anyone late. I saw the whole game and saw Blackman HS kids playing that game. Get off this, Coaches stink so "we have no chase to win" garbage. Don't get me wrong coaches are important but it comes down to players playing football on Friday nights and they didn't play better then Smyrna Friday night.

 

As far as Smyrna not going anywhere in the future because the have an (X) Blackman coach. That too is garbage. The future of Smyrna football is strong and is improving week to week. You all have your issues and Smyrna has their's. It seem that Smyrna player are dealing with them better right now.

That's true. It is the kids playing the game and not the coaches, but do the coaches have the right kids in the right positions? I think that's the question that alot of Blackman faithful are asking too.
