Central got smashed today 21-2.. Pretty much just run out of pitching couldnt throw there #2 because he threw Friday in sub state got postponed and then had to throw Sunday. Good Season Chargers 31-7 best record in school history. Nothing to hang your heads about!!

I like Dyersburg's chances in this one. McMinn may have used up some valuable pichers in the first game. This could really be a close one.
central only used one pitcher really. the second guy is the everyday closer. the number two picther will start tomorrow on 2 days of rest. prob not a good thing but i hope he is ready to throw. the chargers should bounce back strong after the tough loss to catholic. good luck to the chargers. had a great season so far. now is not the time to end it.

Polls almost always, if not always, take the past into consideration... Have you not seen a college football poll before?
last time i checked college football and high school baseball where 2 big different sports

Game time has been set for Friday at 2:00 Central and graduation is at 8:00. Class picture is at 9:00 with practice to follow.
wrong. if you are talking about the central game the game starts at 6.. and other activities i have no idea about. who cares as long as the chargers win. thats all they are worried about. graduation is the last thing on their minds. i just hope the team comes out relaxed and foucsed tomorrow and plays the game the way they have all year and the results should come out in their favor..... GOOD LUCK CHARGERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

while these are impressive victories that deserve recognition and probably will.. marion and unicoi have track records of getting to the state tourney... all polls reflect past history and current acheivement... mcminn if they keep doing this on a fairly regular basis may have been ranked 5th instead of 8th... and really in a one game situation anything can happen no matter how good you are - you can get mashed or win 12-0 as did the McMinn club... i'd say you can take the top 10 and they could be tossed up and drawn out of a hat this year and probably be just as good - becuase most of these teams are about equal - also most clubs threw off on wednesday saving their best for the game that counts - friday
why would they post new polls if it was all about previous records???? that makes no sence. i mean NEW means NEW. old records mean nothing as of now. and current acheivement is true. i mean a 5 game winning streak goin into a sub-state game is pretty good CURRENT ACHIEVEMENT if you ask me.

less get it started. how will the central meigs match up go. always a good series. will it be the same this year???
good luck to the chargers hope they take it all the way

In talking with one of the Sweetwater players it sounded like a replay of chiefs & centrals first game.
Rayburn pitched for central & Cox for Sweetwater.
it was a pretty tight game. central come out hot and let up. i give it to the wildcats they never let up. they are a good fighting team. but as for tonights game it was a different story. central got started in the first and never let up thru the fifth. coming out on top 16-0. keep it up chargers!!!!

i agree 100%.. the chiefs pitcher did a great job for them. i will also say the the new coach at seq is doing a great job so far. he is gonna be a contender next yr or even this year for the distric championship. good thing the chargers got off to a good start for once. hope they do it again tomorrow and keep it rollin all 7.. if it makes it that long. great game from top to bottom considering the conditions. good luck chargers!!!!! make it all the way!!!!!!!!1

Chiefs sweep Tellico!
Game one 9-3 Chiefs
Game two -20-1 Chiefs
what is game time today? and where at

i heard a rumor that Dylan Coleman at McMinn Central had 12 already and that Mark Rayburn had already knocked out 15. They say they can hit the ball a country mile.
who ever this is may be an idiot. coleman has 2 homers and so does rayburn. walker 1 cook 1 moses 1 cowart 1.. and that dont even add up to be what you said one of them had. your stupid iceman

what do yall think about the idea for the 'playing for a cure' tournament and how do you think things will turn out weather premitting

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!! im dissapointed in the chiefs. they have been talkin like that are so good and how much they have improved. well by the sounds of this game its the same ol chiefs. haha guess the smack talkin come back and smacked them in the chops.

How did the scrimmages go today?
they were great. chargers played very good with everyone back. basketball players looked good also. they beat loudon 13-5 and they were beating cofield 7-0 and put the younger kids in to get some pt. the team as a whole hit the ball well and the defence only had a few errors. and same goes for this evenings match up against cumberland. moses threw great for his first time out this year. he had great volicity and hit his spots. hope the pitching remains good
-
In other words they are fighting for 2nd or 3rd every year! Vol has lost over 20 games the last 3 years, not really a top team IMO.
glad to see there are some other smart ppl talkin on the board. its not hard to figure out is it buddy. haha

Central has some good players but last year they lacked confidence when Shaw was not on the mound and their defense was inconsistent at times. I wish them the best I think they have some good kids. partyboy, it sounds like your jealous of Starr! /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> Just kidding! /biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />
oh ya you know thats the truth 6+4+3=2. we will have to go into detail in that subject at the lake this summer haha
Practice? We talking about practice? Bombs in practice? Practice? Give me a little man that hits .400 by going the other way anyday. Call me an idiot, but the Marion game last year may have been different if Central would have stuck with regular pitching rotation. Call me a DA but the Chargers have played .500 ball over the last several years. I am a Charger fan. But they have yet to prove they are mature, discipline, and can win the big game. I hope they will prove me wrong.
i was just stating that the chargers have improved in the power aspect. not trying to get anything ryled up or whatnot. but i do understand the practice point haha. but it will hopefully run over into the season for them

Chiefs came up short yesterday against Loudon. Loudon 11 - Chiefs 6. Not a bad showing for the Chiefs on their first scrimmage. We played everyone and found out what we needed to work on. We made a couple of early base running errors and fielding errors that we must eliminate to defeat a good team. Offensively - we had a lot of two out hits scoring several runs. Keep working hard Chiefs! Believe in yourself and your teammates and you will be successful!
two out hits are great. but i dont think you did alot of damage with them because you only scored 6 total runs. good luck
-
central lost two of their best players in Starr and Shaw. so i dont think they would inprove any. they are a solid team with a good coach. good luck.
your an idiot if you think starr was on of the best two players on the central staff last year. he didnt do that much except make alot of errors at third base and he never was on the hill in a big time situation. he got hot at the plate at time but wasnt hot often. now shaw is a different story. he was a asset to the pitching rotation. he came in big and did his job. he was a pitcher and nothing else. and for them not improving any i consider you a DA because they are a much more mature and agressive team. they have been wide open since day one. workin like chargers work in the weight room and as a team to become a solid unit. i watched them take bp the other day and they hit 16 bombs in the cold. but we will see what happens when day 1 gets here
-
how will central do this year. after the basketball players get back in the groove of things how tought will central be?
-
Walker Valley will be tough as long as Harper is on the mound. The kid can pitch and hit!!!
speakin of harper. what all colleges has he looked at or has he signed anywhere?
-
how should the matchup between the chargers and mustangs turn out.
-
why show them what you have before the district tourny
good question tweeter. i dont really know whats got into the chiefs but they are gonna be a power house. i watched them practice the other day and they looked like a d1 team out there. makin crazy plays and droppin bombs. o wait that was in my dream the other night. to bad that will never happen. but good luck the the chiefs

Who is Alcoas Offensive Tackles?? I feel sorry for whoever it is when Big Ben Stiles from Mcminn Central gets ahold of that big panzy. He will make them feel like little kids after he gets done bullyin them!!
