  1. Good luck Baylor from South Pittsburg!

Best of luck to all area teams!

Thank you piratetom....and good luck to South Pittsburg tomorrow night! Looking forward to tailgating and to hopefully a great game tomorrow night. We've got the red and gray blankets out and will be sipping hot chocolate for what will be a very cold game. Travel safely MBA fans. As always I will be cheering on the Red Raiders! Go Baylor!

  2. Congratulations to Baylor on another big win! What an atmosphere....as someone else said it is 2nd to none. This was a sell out...couple that with the big game on Signal Mountain and the big game at near by Red Bank and there is going to be alot of traffic. We all know this. The ambulance should plan accordingly and be there very early when it is evident that their will be alot of traffic. Much better to have this problem than play at Finley where the game is played to what looks like a half empty stadium. Go Baylor!

  3. Got you covered oldwiseone! Let me know if you text updates! Bubba's Boy's have looked really good this week and I believe they are looking to take a W with them when they leave the other side of the river.

Here's to everyone having a safe trip and a Big Blue Tornado touchdown with resulting disaster requiring FEMA relief!

This just in...No need for FEMA. The approaching tornado loses steam and the weather clears in time for a Red Raider victory. Go Baylor!

  4. Baylor/GPS Mom here. Oldwiseone (hope I got that right) you are so right....It does not get any better that Baylor/McCallie week! Baylor has had a terrific season so far and it sounds like McCallie has too. We are getting the huge Red flags ready to fly. There is just nothing like it in high school sports that I have ever seen. The fact that local Chattanooga TV carries this game every year says alot. Go Red Raiders!

  5. I just happily finished watching the game on TV. As my name indicates I had a daughter graduate from GPS last year. But now have a freshman at Baylor...so now I need to change my name to RedRaiderMom. I really wish I could have been at the game to watch Baylor win their 2nd in a row and extend our streak. But had a sick one at home. It was a good game that Baylor started alittle slow but were very impressive in the 2nd half. As someone else on here said....our freshman running back was great! But it was an entire team effort and they looked great! I believe the next time I post on here....it will be RedRaider Mom! Congratulations to Baylor!

  6. congrads to baylor on the big win.i hope a McCallie parent friend or someone knows a young man that was driving possibly a jeep possibly black tag #026-RQQ hamilton county tags sept09.friday night oct.2nd between 11-11:10 pm on morris hill road in east brainerd he was driving very fast following very close flashing his bright lights and on the last very steep hill b-4 the 4 way stop he passed just as he was topping the hill he came within a foot to a half of a foot of hitting another car headon this young man and the driver of this other are both very lucky not 2 to be in the hospital or dead thank god was looking out 4 both of them i hope someone reads this and talks to this young man to tell him how lucky he is this was very dangerous what he did the reason i am posting on this site this young man had his face painted blue and had a McCallie sticker on his vehicle seems if he had just left the baylor mccallie football game

Thanks for coming on this thread out of concern for the Blue fan that was driving dangerously. Teenagers get distracted by so many things when driving and I hope that this teen or someone that knows him tells him about this. BTW, I see you are an Ooltewah fan.....congratulations on the fantastic year you are having!

  7. Hope they both lose....................

    lol...............A "Blue" Tornado Fan!

You may be kidding but I don't think so from past posts. As a McCallie fan it is understandable to cheer against you biggest rival....Baylor in this case. And most likely you said it about BA since Coach Potter left McCallie for BA. But coming on a thread about those two schools and saying it is not classy. I have not seen any Baylor fans coming on the McCallie vs BGA thread and commenting on McCallie. And this comes from a GPS mom.

  8. Thank you for the kind words bigred4life. We are very glad to win and advance in the playoffs. Looking forward to coming to Baylor this Tuesday and I am very glad that the game is for seeding and not elimination. Hoping for great weather!

Congratulations to GPS. They defeated Knox Webb 4-1 Friday night in substate and will travel to Baylor next Tuesday night to determine seeding. Looking forward to another battle between these longtime rivals....glad that both will move on to the next round.

  9. McCallie loses 4 out of 5 don't they? With Baylor's history I would never count them out. They have set the bar for everyone. Congratulations again to Baylor and Go Bruisers!

Next year should be interesting as Baylor loses 3 of it's top 5 and it appears there are not strong players waiting to take their spots. MUS will be the decided favorite in 2009 unless a couple of new students appear out of nowhere.

  10. Very good write up on chattanoogan.com about the game. Very good game between two classy teams. We are proud of the 1-0 score as it could have been worse. Our defense did a great job as Baylor keep the pressure on with alot of shots. I understand the young lady that scored is a freshman and our goalie is a freshman....so that could they will be players for the future of this rivarly. Exciting game as always between these two rivals.

  11. Thanks to you and DonCChatt for the words of encouragement. You are so right as long as a team does their best and continues to work hard thats all you can ask for. Baylor is a fantastic team. I just hope we can make it interesting and a good game.

Bruisermom--your comments make perfect sense to all us parents, current and former. And you should be very proud of the girls if they keep trying their hardest, in my opinion.

  12. I am new at this and probably will not make a prediction but I am nervously looking forward to tomorrow night's game. As a GPS mom I am very proud of the girl's attitudes in not getting down since this is alittle bit of a down year for us. Baylor is well Baylor and I don't think they have really been down in a long time. We are friends with alot to the Baylor girl's and their parents. This makes it alittle more exciting and stressful if that makes sense.

I am hoping that our defense can keep it close....you never know. But I just hope for a competitive game and one where none of the girls gets injured.
