Your a joke, that's my OPINION !!! LIKE I SAID MY POST, HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH YOU!!!! GET OVER YOURSELF!!!!
You need to get some anger management and learn the difference between Your and You're .
I bet you're (see the difference) the Dad that gets tossed out of a MS game embarrassing your daughter (another example)

Here we go again

Being from District 4 I think Farraguts run is impressive .... Everyone knows Science Hill is the most talented team in East TN. However The Farragut team I watched was sloppy and un disciplined also they showed a lot of attitude and had pretty mouthy players. If they want to make a deep run they better clean it up.
Hats off for all their recent Sub State runs though
-
I saw LC play Farragut really close on Tuesday. I thought Farragut was supposed to be the best team around they looked very sloppy and un disciplined ?
If that's the best team then the district will be wide open !

Could you be a little more specific? You've got fairly new/inexperienced coaches at Bearden and Farragut. Don't see any of the private school coaches leaving.
I don't know if i would call those coaches inexperienced. Farragut has been to two straight substates, wins 20+ games every year their coach has been there a few years and Bearden just won the district so those coaches seems like good candidates.
I think high profile would eliminate Catholic....might be CAK..isn't their girls coach an AD as well?
-
NO! You should keep ur b!@ m@*!h shut, at least until you try and beat Maryville. Then after Morristown East or Science Hill have their way with Lady Ads, then you should comment.
I agree with a previous poster..its pretty SAD.

The District will be interesting next year a lot of teams lose many key players.
We lose a lot of players including Powers
Bearden will struggle without Jai Jai next year, she is a great player and other than Walsh Bearden is pretty thin at the guard position and it might be a weakness for them next year. Tyler Carter inside is a good solid young nucleus to pair with Walsh though, those 2 are definately the future over there.
William Blount loses Tatum, Wilson, and Wheeler

i was at the s hill game last year a you did get beat like a drum
I too was at the Science Hill game, the final score wasn't indicative of how close the game was. Most of the game was very back and forth.

I would not be so sure, yes both teams are talented, but JJ is by far the best point guard in the district. Norwood is not point, JJ was running it last time I saw them play which was Friday night. Should be good game and we will have to see which team is stronger at the point. Bearden also has strong players on the bench, I to have seen all these girls play aau and trust me Bearden has just as much talent as Farragut. Bearden right now has three on team including J J, that were Knox County MVPs in middle school ball, winning 3 championships at West Valley. Yes, Bearden has talent also! Should be a good game.
I think JJ is a better true PG, however the Smith girl who played middle school in the LC is a much better outside shooter. Depth is an interesting issue, because aside from JJ and Walsh Bearden doesn't have much in terms of guard play. The Denton girl seems like she might be able to contribute, but if you take away Walsh and JJ Bearden might have a hard time scoring.
Also not sure how much can be said for winning a Knox Co. Middle school championship..since they do not play any teams from Loudon, Anderson, or Blount counties.

What is the outlook for the District? Seems like there has been a lot of player and coach turnover the last year. Who are the top teams and top players?
New coaches this year: Maryville, Lenoir City, and Bearden
-
Keep in mind that Hammaker was just a 8th grader last year, would hope Loudon's
High School team would win.
I disagree with that argument. Yes she was only an 8th grader, but thats why she gets so much hype..because she is really good and only in 8th grade. You can't have it both ways. Also, that team had a lot of JRs and Sr's it wasn't really a one person show.
-
Ill not get in the never ending "Do they recruit?" thread with you. Ill tell you what ive heard in the past.....Have proof or a very good lawyer!
No need to get into it..everyone knows it goes down on a very subversive level. At this point it's not even a debate anymore.
-
They must have one heck of a recruiter......Can you imagine his deal closing line?....Yes and it will only cost you 10 grand per year!
Dont be throwing that stuff out there! Recruiting is going on somewhere but its not at CAK
Please...there isn't a private school in Knoxville that doesn't recruit. Their genius lies in not having the coaches do the dirty work but other parents....and there have been plenty of players in a lot of sports at a lot of private schools who have gotten that 10K paid for them. Its common knowledge.
However...what goes around comes around
-
Well I am assuming that Amecker or however you spell it is still at CAK so I am going to go out on a limb and say they will be just fine.
Well you know what they say about people who assume.

OK, big changes at Alcoa Men's Basketball it seems . . . what's the low-down? Who stands out as the possible replacement? The coming year's team was set to make a solid run, or so it seemed. What's the current thinking?
Inquiring minds want to know!
My Alcoa connections say that Shane Wells has applied. However I doubt that is a big surprise.
-
look for LC to be the dark horse.
They should be the dark horse...they are recruiting better than CAK or Catholic...ohh wait never mind that was awkward I apologize.

Kim Bledsoe has resigned at Maryville. It's a high paying job with traditionally a lot of talent. Who are the candidates?

Incredible game. C. Moore made an amazing shot to make this game a classic. Lady Panthers played hard but weren't able to get it done.

TEAMS GIBBS,SOUTH DOYLE,HALLS,ALCOA,FARRAGUT,POWELL,ANDERSON CO. CUMBERLAND GAP. MONDAY SCORES GIBBS 48 SOUTH DOYLE 34 HALLS 48 ALCOA 36
Farragut Girls win the Tournament with a Victory over Halls in the Finals
Powell comes in 3rd, Gibbs 4th
-
have seen halls, gibbs, central and oak ridge. anyone seen powell or hardin valley? CLINTON,CAMPBELL CO. ALSO?
Gibbs is in District 4...AA
I think Hardin Valley and Halls are the teams to beat in this District.
Campbell Co. lost their best player and Oak Ridge cannot score or defend in the Half Court.
This District is extremely weak I don't think it will fair very well versus District 4 AAA where you have teams like Maryville, Farragut, West, and William Blount..a group of teams that would be the hands down favorite to win District 3 ...also don't sleep on Lenoir City
-
One is there already 9th grade , she started at CAK, she is zoned Farragut. She was at West Valley Middle. The other player has not made a transfer yet.
Farragut has added a Freshman from CAK and a Sophomore from Catholic, both girls are zoned Farragut and attended West Valley.
-
I don't know much about the District outside of Knoxville beside that Maryville is loaded.
I think Lenoir City will be the sleeper team. Shannon Parks and Powers can both play and shoot, Robinson is pretty tall and will help inside. Hopefully the girls can play like a team, I have heard some really good things.
-
I watched some of these girls in the Fall League and saw some young talent as well as some familiar faces. Bearden's McClaughlin, LC Powers, Catholic's Andre. But I noticed some new talent, Beardem has a freshman point guard that can be a force and Farragut had a shooting guard that can light it up.
What players should we watch for?
The Andre girl from catholic has transfered to some private school out of state or something. I didn't notice much from Bearden besides McClaughlin they are really going to struggle.
Tatum Burstrum at William Blount is really good too.

District 4 AAA Observations
-
- The District goes through Maryville and the returning player of the year Torie Vaught (a belmont commitment)
- 2nd - 4th is some combination of Farragut, Lenoir City, West, and William Blount.
- West has an unknown coach and has added some size alongside Patterson
- Lenoir City has some good young players and a new coach.
- Farragut has a really strong Sophomore and Freshman class.
- Heritage and Bearden will be WAY down
- Catholic will be worse than last year
Just some observations from summer camp and Pre-Season rumors

Region 2 AAA- District 3 and District 4
in Girls Basketball

Very quiet utbballnow…..
If a player leaves a school because of playing time mid-season and then the team she left surges wins the region and makes the state tournament then Im pretty sure the coach isn't upset about the loss.
It's obvious you have some ax to grind against Bearden and their coach.
However, I would mention in the last 3 years
BHS has won 1 district championship, 1 region championship, 1 Sectional Win, and 1 State Tourney Appearance
FHS has 2 district championships, 1 region championship, 0 Sectional wins, and 0 State Tourney Appearances
