You are right on, 72. And all this talk suggesting that East has little chance is a bunch of hog-wash. I'm back to my serious self this week, cause I know we are risk in this one. Mo-East is big, they are fast, and they want revenge for last year. They have it all. I think South is a better team, but we must come in focused and pumped.

The South fans need to bring our A-game as well, we were all flat last friday night and it carried over to the field.

Rebels, take MEast seriously. They are quick. However, they have fumbled something like 44 times this season, so keep your eye on the ball. I think this will be a good game, but South should perservere if they do not get overconfident. South fans need to show up so that you can make a good gate. If Friday is any indication of how MEast traveling base is, it will be pretty sad. I think their were 3 times the crowd on the visitors side as the home. I think South pulls through this one and advances to the next round. Not a blow out though. Well, Captain Redbeard, I'm not even sure what words I mispelled in my previous post, but you sure did mess up a bunch. I think w1ldcat pointed all of those out. Before you tell me to take a spelling class (which I won't do) you should probably spell "decent" right. And do you know why I'm not going to congratulate Mamma's House on their season? Because they're beside Mamma's House. And because when I see a "cinderella" team, they usually embrace the role and they WANT to be loved. They wanna be the little engine that could. But instead you had a bunch of players show up at our place and immediately started acting like animals. Trash talking (x500) the reigning conference champs? Showing disrespect to the very team they should probably try to immulate? "Oh, but South talked trash, too!" Yeah, they did, it's football. But not only was the MHR's trash talk worse than ours, it was also coming from the supposed "sweet little boys in Kingsport who are having the season of their lives!" Such disrepsect to Mamma. She never talked trash to anyone while she cooked up her buffet. If she could see what kind of people you guys have turned into, she'd roll over in her grave!

I would just like to take a moment to thank JohnB. and canefan72 for trying to return this thread to what it is supposed to be.....wait let me think......Oh yeah...Sullivan North @ Morristown East. I had to check back because it started sounding more like two sisters fighting over the new kid in school than an actual thread about a first round playoff game.

 

East has a "fair" defensive line...when they are allowed to come out and play. /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":rolleyes:" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />

They have a solid LB core, even with James H. injured.

The corners and safeties are fast and will lay a hit on you, if they can make up their minds to do so. They also make up for their mistakes with speed, lets just hope Coach D has elimanated this problem.

 

The defense held Boone to 105 total yards last Thursday. Here's hoping that they can keep it up for about another month or so.

If South fans aren't on here to keep you Mama's House Raiders fans in check, who knows what chaos would ensue! If we go away, pretty soon you're 8 wins start to go to your head and you get on here and start making wild predictions something like, "I think we'll beat MoEast." Is that who we want representing our region? Here's a tip from a South fan who's been around the block. The next time you Mama's House Raiders are the cinderella team (never again), ACT like a cinderella team. Say things like "Yes sir, right away Mr. Rebelrebelman." That way you seem sweet and charming like a good cinderella team instead of a bunch of escaped loons.

Like I said earlier. I am pretty sure that most of you south fans (at least the one's who consistently post on here) are those who just didn't get what they needed out of life while in high school and are trying to live it now by cutting others down. Why can't you let the North crowd live in the moment. Not once have I seen you say good job on your season. You lead the league in defense because South played JV players for the second half in most of their games.

I don't understand how the teams are classified for play-offs but how how strange is it that South who is 10 - 0 is playing against a team, Cherokee who is 6 -4. Why would a higher ranking team play a lower ranking team? Makes no sense to me. Doesn't really give the lower ranking team much of a chance does it? At least North is playing an equally ranked team in Morristown East. Should be a great game. Go North - beat Morristown East and then we can meet South again in the 2nd round!!

I do not know the logic of it exactly, but the 1st seed plays the 4th seed and the 2nd and 3rd play each other.

Well as lightly as I take the Mama's House Raiders, I can't imagine them losing to Unicoi. I mean, we are talking about THE Mama's House Raiders, but Unicoi is far removed what I consider "competive football."

rebel redneck were you even at the game this past friday ??? if i was Stacy i woulda left every starter in on both sides of the ball til that very last second . not just from the disrespect of #5 and #2 btw there was many more than that from what i heard from a few south players, but any how i think stacy not only letting his seniors enjoy SENIORS NIGHT!!! but was also on a mission to show everyone else the difference between a #3 team in the state and the #7 team in state.

all in all i think i think South just helped North out by taking them back to reality.

Why is it that North is the only one's accused of "trash talking". The last time I checked I do not remember any team that hasn't "trash talked" before. I remember many times in the past South talking trash, even when I was in high school. I wasn't at the game, but I think it is bad for any team to leave starters in with a 40 something lead against the losing team's second string. Like someone said earlier, "everyone gets hotheaded every now and again". It is easy to say what you may do in a situation like this, but sometimes the outcome is different when you are put in the situation. SS has a good team and it will do them good to move up so they can be more "competitive". As far as North and coach Norris, I am sure that he will take care of disciplining his players. Not everyone makes a public spectacle of everything. Hand shaking? I agree with Cap1. By the way Cap1, Good luck against SS. I will be unable to attend, but hope you guys do well.

I think I put the discussion to bed when I predicted TH winning. TH fans wanted to know the outcome, and I gave them that comfort. Vikes roll!

[Granted, we could play til the end of the 3rd Q but can you imagine what the numbers would be. We are taking so much heat the way it is now we can't get them out fast enough. And still people are saying we are running up the score. So yes, Bradley, KK, and Taylor's numbers would be untouchable in that regard. And where would the scouts be? On our doorstep? KK can catch anything you throw at him...period. Bradley's first year playing varsity QB and he increases ability 100 fold each game...period. And Fletch'...draw your own summation. The score would be triple digit each game thus far. The benefit...our bench is ready for the '09 season as we speak.

Only playing two series in the second half of the last 4 games certainly hurts your stats but these guys have a much bigger picture on their mind. I'm glad that the younger rebs are getting experience for next year. They will need it, moving up to a bigger class. We'll see how they can hold up against the bigger teams. Maybe it will be more competetive for them. They have to be getting bored with all the blow outs.

North is playing up to and exceeding their expected potential, are you all? North still has the same defense that neutralized you guys a couple of weeks ago.
