I had heard a rumor that polk was going to play mcminn county. It obviously fell through, but I would had loved to see that matchup

I remember a couple of years ago of some of CAK's fans (notice I said some, not all) complaining after a close game with Polk County. Said they were dirty. Us country boys must play football a little different than you city boys. Dirtier? no, just different!

Hats off to Sweetwater on a great season finishing 7-3. They are a hard bunch to figure out though. They played Polk tough, got beat by Central, then beat Sequoyah. Sequoyah is the only team they beat that has a winning record. Tyner has impressive victories over Signal Mtn. and Tullahoma. Neither team can survive turning the ball over, however I do give the edge to Tyner

I watched the CAK/Alcoa game and was very impressed with #25 & #16. However, I wasn't impressed with #63's efforts on the field. He done a lot of walking getting on the field and off the field and between plays. Seemed kind of lazy (although skilled) just wasn't impressed with the way he carries himself. Did it have something to do with him not used to playing both ways? That takes a lot out of a kid, especially if they are not used to it

Sequoyah runs sort of a hybrid style of wing-t out shotgun. They run a 3 man front kind of scheme on defense

I give the advantage to Polk. As long as miller stays healthy, Polk will be hard to handle

Going on records, common opponents, past history and tradition....It points to Alcoa. But I know our Chargers will show up and fight till the bitter end on Friday. We cannot turn the ball over or have costly penalties...who knows, anything can happen so you gotta believe!!!!

What I would give if this rule was in effect back when I played and long snapped!!!

I don't think that WV can handle the physical style of football that Polk plays. Polk wins

Central High School is taking donations for the Boring family. Don't get me wrong, this will still be a great game, but I think it has lost a little of it's hype because each team has already been beat. I wish both teams were undefeated coming into this game. This one will be too close to predict!

Polk will crush everyone in the district.. prob by mercy rule. Polk lost two games to two good teams. They will KILL sweetwater, mags county, the chefs.

I would hate to be the team that has to play Alcoa after last week's upset!

Loudon physically looks like their down this year but they are well coached and play with a lot of heart. They beat a Lenior City team that physically looked a whole lot better. Don't forget they were only down 6-0 to Alcoa after 1st quarter. I think it might be a lower scoring game than some might think with loudon's ability to run the football eating the clock up.

There has been a lot of names thrown out but are any of them even interested in the job? Has anybody heard of any coach that has actually applied? What is the timeline for hiring someone?

I think Jason Howard would be an excellent choice. It would be hard to pull him away from head bball coach at mcminn though. He is a homegrown guy but still is from out of the system. He knows the game well, is very energetic, and has tremendous respect from his players.

I heard that Coach Wilkerson from McMinn Central is interested in the job. He has been looking into college coaching but said he would be very interested in Ooltewah. Like someone stated earlier about the coach from Red Bank, Wilkerson has been the OC at McMinn Central the past several years and they have averaged over 30 points per game. He has great respect from players and area coaches. Would be a great hire!
