Hey coach goolsby when school starts don't let the driftwood come running up to you and butter ya up and try and tell you who to play and who done this and yada yada yada. That's been our problem alot over the years and has done been admitted too. It's been told you won't and I believe you do the right things. Everyone knows who and why what im talking about. If you need some ear phones from 8 untill 3 ill buy them for ya.

You can correct me if I'm wrong..........but after the "wonder year" wasn't Dyer and Goolsby both ran off?? Or at least Dyer was no longer the Head Coach??

 

SC and TC people only know how "bad" it is/was by the talk of most of the MC PEOPLE. MC people put it out there.

Okay we somewhat agree, but you are repeating only one side of the story. However they weren't ran off, they left the program. There were some people a little disgruntled after the 04 season, however noone ran them off. The Procks did what the state told them they must do. Who else did the supposed running off??? If it was done before wouldn't he be concerned that it might happen again??? Being "run off" is how some on that staff chose to spin their actions.

All that said, if Goolsby had waited and done nothing for the summer of 2005, he would have been the first in line for the head coaching job before Cook.

Again, I agree with some of what you say. However, you did not answer the question! IF it was so bad before, if he got run out of town, why would he come back? If you escaped heck, would you go back?? Would you bring in more of your family members too?? Don't make much sense does it????

If he was ran off, why would he come back???? If it was as bad as all SC and TC people make it out to be or have been or will be, why would he want the job??

Sorry to say, but this is a fact; and it would be a very, very, VERY rare person who could step over this minefield (that is laid as tight as the old Brickyard) and bring all the factions together and make that work without getting hung out to dry. And that person has already been crucified once...

Yes Goolsby was an assistant under Dyer and part of the group "run out" of town. If it is so bad in MC why is he puting name in ring to come back.

I too would like some info on the other names thrown out. Who is Sanders? What about Brown from Lebanon?

Old Coach, couldn't have said it better myself. You are right on target. I have it on good authority, the Director of Schools has had five or six quality candidates outside a 100 mile radius inquire about the job. At least two have submitted resumes.

Let it die. Let MC do what needs to be done.

I'm not the moral compass of MC, just trying to take care of me and my family. I believe our moral compass as a community and nation is broken. Too much of living for the moment and what can you do for me attitude. I'm only trying to say that I'm here for my tigers, for my community and for my friends. All that post their crap here already know where they can cram it.

You have the right to try and police what you think is crap. However, some people would say your opinion about the tiger program is crap. And what you don't seem to get is that those people have that right too!

You know nothing about our program!!! For one - Clint is not running the show, two - naw we have not had 3 or 4 - 2 win seasons and neither has Macon, three - we do not have fans such as Macons that get on here bashing the coaches and saying that they teach the ends to stand flat footed and stupid stuff such as that (give me a break)! We have not always been on top of our game here. There used to be several rough years and we still supported and will continue to support Jim B, Clint, Creasy, etc. Never have we been as classless as Macon on these threads or in the stands. Hey Genius, This poster never accused the coaches of anything. Go back and read the post and stop putting words in someone eles mouth. He asked why something he observed was going on. Others on here said they observed the same thing. One poster said that they were "SURE" that the kids were not coached that way. Nothing else was said. How is this coach bashing??? Or are you just trying to stir the pot and keep Macon in a frenzy??? Stay in your own thread.

 

How many games have you seen MC play, Mr know-it-all?? How many different defensive fronts have you seen the Tigers in and what resulted??? (GIVE ME A BREAK)

 

People that don't know what they are talking about shuold keep their yaps shut. You want to help MC, Stay away from our threads.

I'm not speaking for jacket fan but I didn't take his post the way you did. He wasn't saying you were negative. It's just every thread this year have started or turned ugly and many have been deleted by the moderators after a few days. I don't remember if you were a part of the coach bashing this year or not, it doesn't matter since you started this thread with a classy post. I'm ashamed of our community for tolerating this activity. I didn't tolerate it here and called it out when I read it. These boards are not being moderated properly in my opinion. Maybe the boards have become to big to handle or maybe Coacht's idea was to generate this type of crap. I used to have fun here reading the harmless trash talk among fans. Now I could care less. I'm just lurking around pis.ing on the useless posters that talk crap about my tigers. I can't stand them and what they have done to our program. I don't agree with everything the coaches do, but I will support them and our players. They are still kids, out there to have fun. I tried to teach my son to play with heart and lose with grace. Thank you coaches for trying to teach that too. Good luck Tigers!

I sure am glad you are the moral compass of Macon County. I know what you mean about not tolerating bad behavior, like someone shouting at the players on the field....from the pressbox. I sure am glad that someone "seemed" to quiet that behavior at the half of the Sycamore game.
