He’s obviously older… most had him retiring before leaving Mckenzie , and probably retiring soon …SG has really taken a toll on the talent pool there but they still have the tradition… if they are patient there and give Comer time … it won’t be a quick turnaround… but it’ll be a turnaround in 4-5 years.
He'll be gone in two years. Same as the rest.

The mystery will be solved soon.

Humboldt is much improved! Hopefully they continue to! LC will run the table minus the Haywood game pending injuries
Better days are coming for Humboldt if those kids stay the course and hang together.
Congrats to LC!

I think Huntington can make this one a ball game. That's not something I would have said at the beginning of the season, but here we are. We all know how the teams feel about each other. I'm expecting a slugfest.

At this point I don't believe anyone in 4A can play with Haywood on this side of the river. The Tomcats are the only ones who can beat the Tomcats. Just to much talent across the board. D1 everywhere.
-
You pretty much nailed your prediction!
As I suspected, Ripley's D made you guys work for it for a while. I would expect a real battle for second in that region, but the gap from 1st to 2nd appears to be very wide.

Congratulations Rebs!
Possibly a inflection point in rebuilding that program? Time will tell.

Haywood is special.

at the half.
So what I'm hearing is the clock will not be running the entire second half.
Thought so.

Basically talked of us giving up 28 and gave the smart remark so their maybe hope
Maybe Haywood just got their duhhhh game of the season out of the way early. That's bad news for Milan.

30-20 Covington. Rinsing and repeating last years score.
-
I'm excited for what Teddy has coming up in the next couple of years. Just not this year. Local small ball is better when The Bolt is in the mix.
Lake Co. by a bunch this time.
-
All Twisters.
Running clock early.

I think the Cavs win this one but I expect it to be a 4 quarter battle.
Give me Crockett by 7.

This team has heart, strength, speed, hard hitting and a great group of Senior and Junior leaders.
You'll get zero arguments from me on any of those points. They are impressive.

Noted. I will eat my crow. Will you?
I like mine served cold with mustard.

I can live with this.
Union City is the biggest surprise of the season at this point.

Haywood will expose Milan in this one. All Tomcats.

In a word, "Nope."

Ponytails… bwhahahahaahah
You know we have to slip in a shot on the Stanks every once in a while. It's all in jest though. (Maybe)

What Munford was able to do to Covington is honestly is the exception to the general rule. Everyone is saying how UC is improved, and that may very well be so. I would imagine that USJ has improved as well. Maybe the game will be closer than 2021. I still think USJ wins by a fairly comfortably in my opinion.
I agree. USJ should win this one but I expect a better game than last year.
One more point on Munford, they picked up a few new players via the transfer portal. That has raised their stock in a big way. I don't think the comparison is relevant.

Having watched the South Side vs Ripley replay I'll have to say the Ponytails win this one pretty easily. South Sides defense is decent but their offense struggled to get anything going.

And BTW since you know so much did you go look at the last 7-10 years of crockett and ripley playing……. You said something about history so I’ll wait on that response to I hear crickets chirping
Explain to me how you think something that happened 10 years ago has any bearing on Thursday nights game. Apparently, according to the announcer, Ripley is loaded with sophomores. That means you lost to a bunch of freshman kids last year.
Recent history: 3 meetings in the last 2 seasons. CC won 10-0 , Ripley won 36-21 in the playoffs, Ripley won 20-14 last year.
Look man, I don't have a dog in the race. I understand you're a fan boy and think Crockett Co is good. I'm just here to talk about the facts. The Cavs may very well win the game, but you think you're going to score 30+ and win by 14? I'll believe it when I see it.
I'm done with this conversation and giving you any attention. Have an Average season Sir.

Without having to go back and look wasn’t you the same negative person that said something on my dyer county thread that we would lose we’re not improved and you wouldn’t believe it until we beat them. And we beat them by 18
Perhaps you should go back and look. In fact that was not me. I really couldn't care or be less impressed if you beat a bad Dyer Co team.
