Yeah I expected that with the lack of depth without those players. I'm not sure how long, but it doesn't look good. One of them was a starting post player who just had knee surgery on a torn meniscus, and the other one who was a starting guard has a cast of some sort on his arm, so it doesn't look too good.

How long are they going to be out? They started off good, but then when Upperman applied pressure, Dekalb started to fall apart.

What are your predictions on the games tonight? Upperman should take a win over Dekalb. LA has only barely got by Cannon by 10 and 4, but I think they will pull off a win.

Grundy Co. girls from AA will be be very strong this year. They are returning 3 starters that are juniors and they have a stud sophomore point guard. They feel short last year, but they were still young playing majority sophomores and freshmen. This year could be a huge milestone for these girls.

Grundy County is a so so place to play.. It's not the toughest, but there are no restaurants on that side of the county which is annoying. The crowd gets into it big time if it is a good game and their student section is good. But I always look forward to their controversial signs. My all time favorite that is acceptable on Coacht is: "Maybe he's born with it, maybe it's maybelline." :roflol: It's funny when you have fans from the other school trying to rip your signs down.

How was was the camp yesterday? Who were some of the top athletes?

Mason Ramsey...Livingston Academy. Only a Sophomore.

Mason Ramsey is an extremely good player. He will be a force this year.

Great-uncle. This is a major loss for Notre Dame. As a freshman last year he had one game vs Bledsoe I believe he scored 30 in the first half. They had two other good freshmen and I think their post, pretty good height, was just a junior so they will probably be in the hunt again. Bledsoe and Sequatchie return good players too. In my opinion a couple of individuals at Bledsoe and Sequatchie are among the best players in the area regardless of classification. Sequatchie graduated several seniors but I think some players who will move into the starting line-up have the ability to do good things. Grundy, not sure yet, had quite a few seniors.

Grundy lost 7 seniors. They have 1 returning starter.

This was a good hard fought game. Sequatchie's defence was the difference, they held Grundy twice inside the 10, the last under two minutes to go.

 

O, and bye the way, you have to score 2TD's in order to beat someone by 2.

I was pretty disappointed in both teams. For the first time in forever, I found myself watching the cheerleaders more then the game. If Bledsoe is worth diddly squat then they are contenders for 1st in district...

Are these super fast runners from Sequatchie going to be as fast in the rain?

When did Grundy turn into a powerhouse, where it's crazy to pick against them? They did give Goodpasture a good playoff game, but Sequatchie gave eventual semifinalist York a good game too. None of that matters now, neither has done anything this year so far (0-1) so I don't get how it's so out of line to pick Sequatchie in this one.

Now now, quit putting words in my mouth. I never called them a powerhouse. Just because everyone isn't talking about Sequatchie doesn't mean you can't talk on here too bratt22.

I just dont see Sequatchie giving up that many points most everyone has predicted. They only gave up a true 7 points to Central and they are way far more athletic then Grundy. Grundy will come out fired up to play at home but speed for Seq will eventually be a diffrence maker. Our Def will be sharp again but our off will still have their moments .

What are you talking about? Nobody has said anything about Grundy's talent. For the most part this is an all Grungy board at the moment. Everybody has picked you to win, so try to ruffle feathers somewhere else.

No one has said anything about Grundy's talent... That's the big idea. Yes! They are big, but they are also talented! I am trying to ruffle the feathers on your head dress if you don't mind..

Barring two huge mental mistakes on special teams Friday night, the bigger more talented Central team would have lost. These mistakes often occur in the first game and Seq will straighten them out. Grundy might be a little bigger, but Seq has talent and you will see the heart Friday night. Sequatchie's D looked sharp against Central and I look for the offence to be more evolved Friday.

Grundy is big, but they are also talented. You guys are acting like Grundy is a team of ogres with no talent. I think it will take a while for Grundy to get a lead, but they will win.. I agree with 2 TD's.

Grundy has to get last night out of their mind quick. South Pittsburg is just a whole different deal. Forget about it. Win Friday and keep winning after that and last night won't matter. If we let last night linger we could be in big trouble. Shake it off guys and go to work.

The only player to be concerned about it their point guard, Jamal. But he is the only decent player on the team. They have one guy who is a off and on shooter, and their post is weak.

He'll probably need a little more than 2 or 3 bags extra.
