HC is relentless on D,and have great guards and a very solid post player. They will play a six to seven player rotation and if they stay out of foul trouble can beat UC, Both teams are very physical so the way it is called will be key,I think if Breanna Boggs were still playing HC would be playing Clarkrange in the state title game.

Boggs out for the year?

Boggs tore her ACL in early January,they have played well without her but you can't replace that talent.The other post they have is a 6 foot junior that could play at the next level somewhere small-she was a starter before the injury but has really blossomed since and will be a nice tandem with Boggs next year.

Who is injured for them? That's bad luck for them. They're a good team.

They have played the last 10 games without Breanna Boggs- their 6'2 center and one of the top sophomores in the state regardless of class.I was told that one of their guards Lexi Norfleet sustained a concussion diving for a loose ball and would be iffy to play Saturday.

Houston Co has some serious injury issues,not sure if they can advance

Whoever wins the Sycamore vs MLK game goes to state pretty easy the way I see it,The loser will have a tough game at Creekwood in substate.

Lead is very athletic but not a good shooting team.Mcewen has the best coach in the district and are a dangerous team,they play very hard but are not great shooters or very athletic.

Houston County in 1982-1983,they had Wayne Tiller-Tennessee,Reginald Tiller-Trevecca, Meme Ramey- Emory,Tyrone Dunn-Austin Peay, Donnie Cooksey, and Mike Carter.That team got upset by Hampton in the first round.The Houston Co. team in 91-92 was a great team also that got also got upset by Hampton in the first round.

Where is the Region?

Well it looks to me like MTCS vs Houston Co,Moore co vs Nashville Christian, Forrest vs McEwen, and Community vs East Robertson.I think that is how it will shake out going forward.Where is the region tourney?

The stretch run is upon us all.  It all comes down to which team can get hot and stay hot for the next two to three weeks.  Several teams playing very well right now, even teams near the bottom not giving up yet, but playing really hard as well.  Looks like on a neutral floor--Community might be even with Houston County...pretty interesting for the whole district to see that.  keep on fightin' raiderettes

Community looked good,HC is hurting after losing their center a couple of weeks ago.She was a difference maker on both ends,they went from a shoe-in to make state tourney to probably 50-50

Good luck to Community against Houston co this week hope they get a big win for 9a.

Their chances got much better when Houston Co lost 6'2 Center Breanna Boggs a few games ago.She was averaging 13 points and 10 rebounds a game,she is just a sophomore and will be back next year.

And where is the Region 5 tourney

I was told by someone who was at the Houston Co/Nashville Christian game that Houston Co sophomore center didn't play and is out for the year with a torn ACL.Is this true? That is terrible news if so,she is a great player and will hurt their chances of making it to state.They still have a strong team but a much tougher road.

I think CPA is the best in the area and then would be between Lighthouse and East Literature.They have 4 guys that can play some level of college ball- Lighthouse that is.
