  1. soccerfan... does your boy play for Ravenwood? or are you just new to soccer? perhaps it was your first game?

From a non biased perspective: I believe the first half went 65% irish to 35% Ravenwood... The second half there was definitely a momentous swing for Ravenwood probably 65 35 once again. multiple opportunities for both teams

It is the uneducated report of people like you that gives coacht a bad name... Catholic is obviously superior to Ravenwood.... Catholic came off a brawl with hendersonville and then a semi difficult match against gallatin... Ravenwood should be more than thrilled to come away with a 1-1 tie... Ravenwood on the other hand played a young Mcminn team and then after a struggling father ryan squad... believe it or not there is more to the game than just the game...

We will see what happens in state... should Ravenwood advance

  2. Fact: Michael Bonfini was healthy.

Fiction: Tyler Gibson was healthy... Tyler was playing with serious pain last night.

Fact: Tyler Gibson will be healthy for state... He will be going for treatment which should have him completely healthy in 2 1/2 weeks

  3. Man you Catholic guys are great at handing out back handed compliments. Maryville did way more than just stay in that game. They dominated the second half except for a PK. Now maybe Catholic was missing a couple of good players, but two players don't make a team. You need to bring it with what is on the field. As I said injuries are part of any sport.

Good luck to both teams for a Great Season!

Im going to have to say that you are use the word "dominated" very loosely. I am not sure of the shot count but I would have to give Catholic the upper hand. Maybe Maryville did control from 18 to 18 but I'm gonna say that Catholic definitely had more chances to score. But then again its not about chances, its about finishing those chances.

  4. Ricardo is actually not eligible to play. He is now to old. But Catholic was missing Spencer Payne who was sick with the flu and Michael Bonfini who got hurt during the football season and also as you said Tyler Gibson who has been suffering from a lingering injury. I hate to make excuses but Catholic did not have 3 of 6 playmakers tonight. But congrats to Maryville on coming back within the last 15 minutes.

  5. I thought I had heard of all the top club players in the state, but neither I nor my son has heard of this guy. What club team does he play for?

Obviously, can't comment on you all's argument since I haven't seen him play.

you must not be in the same age group.

  6. I'm sorry but listening to people boast about how good teams like Good Pasture, Louden and Station Camp are going to be is somewhat comical. Yes, they may have returning seniors and yes, this may be the best team they have ever had, but how can anyone contest with pure soccer firepower. Example being Knoxville Catholic last year. From what I heard they completely walked through state and just about any team in A/AA. And not to say Catholic will be like this next year but there is always a set of teams that has consistently stood above the rest I don't know how these less talented schools can compete with the teams that are sprinkled with top club players.....I just don't see it in the cards.
