Isnt he their #4 pitcher?
Not sure what number pitcher he is. But the scoreboard doesnt reflect the game at all.. Page scored 10 runs in the top of the seventh. HC's starting pitcher pitched a great game and didn't give up more than 5 earned runs in 5 innings. The problem was the deffence behind him making errors on plays that should be made.

HC took this one 16-11.
This was a high scoring game any reason why?

HC goes to Franklin today any predictions?

Okay..most of the of what is being said on this site is by people that are not involved in any way with the programs at EHHS...they are only on here trying to stir up stuff. I am and have been involved with bothe the baseball and football program..so I will take the time now to state a few facts for all the curious ones.
Fact: Does Coach Jones always handle things the right way? NO...but who does?
Fact: Does Coach Jones believe that what he he doing at the time is the right way? Yes..
Fact: Does Coach Jones have some things that he needs to change within the program and himself? Yes..remember
He is still learning.
Fact: What did I do when I felt that he had handled something the wrong way? I went straight to him and had a face
to face discussion with him about the issue....I did not sit around on my behind and moan about it to anyone
that would listen.
Fact: Was he respectful and listen to my concerns? Yes is was...and yes he did.
Fact: Did we always agree in the end? No we didn't...but that is okay...I don't always have to be right.
Fact: Do I think he is doing the best that he knows how to do? Yes..I do.
Fact: Do I think he will be the coach this up coming year? Yes I do and I wish all the coaches and all the players the
best of luck.
Fact: Without a winning season people will always be upset! But if you have issues you need to be man enough to
step up and have a meeting with him and be willing to talk about it with him face to face.
Fact: Is he my favorite person. No..and I am sure that I am not his...but I do live in the real world and understand
that he is going to make mistakes just like anyone else..
Fact: People need to move on and stop coming on here and bashing coaches...it is not helping our kids or the
community and if your not part of our community..you really do not know enough to even comment.
Fact: With parents doing this its hopless
Opinion: you wasted a good 30 minutes on that post

santafebaby your team goes to HC today. These HC kids are by no means the best in the state but a couple of them will be better than your all-american bowler and your "big league SS"

HC lost a scrimage against CA yesterday 7-6 in 10 innings.. HC was winning untill some of the younger kids were put in around the 4th or 5th. CA through there #1 and #2 pithcers
-
So exactly how many of these kids are on the same stuff as Barry Bonds?? /ph34r.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="ph34r.gif" />

I doubt it, Hickman doesnt have any arms that can shut down Page's bats. I predict 2 runrules even with Page's 3-4 throwing. Do you know of any arms Hickman might have?
I know they have two kids who can throw 80 plus.
-
-
its actually relevant. due to the extreme movement his arm can sometimes suffer extreme cases of tendonitis.
Bowling or not hes a spot on outfielder
Every time i see you post its about santa fe. If you'd just leave there every once in a while you'd understand that he isn't the best in the county and especially not the mid-state. I happen know who they scrimage tuesday so tell him to get ready to chase the ball over his head
-
Probably not. They play Mt. Juliet, Creekwood and McGavock later that week. Their 3 and 4 should not have much trouble against Hickman.
If they dont throw their #! and #2 then there will be a good chance of a split between the teams

To the fine supporters of Mt.Pleasant High School, most of the supporters of High School Basketball understand your situation and realize the encouragement it took to get back on the winning track. You can now start anew and play in your District Tournament. Some who post on here think its funny you had the record and funny you took it upon yourself to win this game. Please excuse the rudeness of the last post for it has nothing to do with Mt. Pleasant and really is against the rules of this site. We respect MPHS and wish you luck the rest of the year.
This certainly violates rules 2,3,4, and 13 of the site rules and violates common courtesy of making fun of common courtesy to schools. This high school poster has tried to harrass many posters on this site and it is best to ignore the posts.

You have a daughter on this team huh?? I truely am glad they finally one a game but a 100 game losin streak is rediculous. There can be 0 talent on a team and the coach should be able to win atleast 5 games.. get him outta there

From past experience most districts meet for tourney pairings and at that meeting they select the team. Coaches usually nominate their own players. Usually the better teams are going to dominate the voting but most teams get one player on the team. Larger districts usually pick 10 to 12 players from the pool of nominees. The MVP is usually from the top team or two and the coach is from the district champion-but it is still a vote of the coaches.
I saw 3AAA in the Knox News Sentinel sports today and the local AA yesterday. 4AAA was in last week. I would like to see them regionally on one sight myself. Someone start a thread to list Knoxville area districts.
Normally the all district teams are the nominees for the prepxtra team.
In some districts each team gets the same number of selections.. is there a pre season vote?

Will Page throw their #1 and #2 pitchers against HC the first two games of the season.

Watson was...well, Watson was Watson. He can gas it up. Townes turned on a Watson fast ball and hit it in the gap to left center but that's just Townes...guy can flat out knock the cover off the ball. Other than that one hit, Watson dominated. Robinson didn't pitch Saturday, he DH'ed or EH'ed or ZH'ed or one of those things...I'm still trying to figure that stuff out, but he hit in the 4 hole. We looked pretty good offensively...Dove looks to be in mid-season form swinging the bat, had about 4 hits Saturday. The rest of the guys hit it around pretty good. There was a lot of wind so both teams struggled with fly balls but I thought the guys played well defensively for the first pre-season game.
was this a scrimage?
-
Has anyone had scrimmages yet? If they have then what were the scores?
Do you know what TSSAA is? Well they have rules and one of those rules is that scrimages cant take place untill two weeks(14 Days) before the season.. so ask again monday
-
OK first the coach should be gone I could take a team full of midgets and win atleast 5 games a year but in his deffence it sounds like he doesn't have much to work with maybe a new athletic gene pool would help??
-
It really should be an iteresting season. I have now seen Spring Hill on the field. Not too bad. I will put them right at the top of the district this year along with Page. Look forward to seening HC practice.
Your gonna go watch them practice?? get a job

Looks like they faced some great pitching! Now that you have established that, I go back to the original "good bats" comment. What were their averages?
Not exactly sure on the averages but the talented coaching staff this year will have them hitting even better than last year. Both have the ability to hit the long ball and .400+
-
"good bats" Will they see good pitching this year or will they be facing #3 or #4 arms?
Who did they face last year?
I don't belive Seth Litnz was a number 4 pitcher... Both had base hits
What's up with this?

Have you ever watched vandy or any other competitve college baseball team play? The entire game the players are up on the fence cheering. I agree baseball players shouldn't do cheers like softball players but how many teams have you seen put up a big inning and have no one cheering??
