What is the boys team doing?

boys get to host. they violated no rules. the girls were the ones who violated the rules. fyi, the rule was the seating requirements to hold substate(sectional) game. neither boys nor girls can host a substate(sectional) game because there gym does not meet seating requirements.

When it was time to pass out the awards after the end of the tournament, Jackson Co. was a no show. 2 or 3 bench players and maybe a manager came out, or maybe they were all managers and no coach. The coach sat in the stands and didn't even go down. Godwin wasn't there for his All Tournament award either. In the 16 tournaments I have been to I have never seen a team do that. Clay Co, Pickett Co. and Clarkrange all were there. Just because JC has gone down hill the last month and now is playing WAY below the other three, they should have been better sports and stayed for the awards.

First of all you obviously do not know Coach Flynn very well. He is anything but disrespectful. In fact, I know for a fact he went down and congratulated Coach Bibb after the game. Also, the only coach who went out with his kids was Coach Bibb and every one but you understands that. As for the kids, we had about half the team with flu like symptoms and they were told to go home if they felt bad by Coach Flynn. I guess that was wrong too? You are a real piece of work to get on here and fault the coach and boys for being absent from a trophy presentation. I am sure if it was your team it would be different and YOU would have used this as an excuse for your team losing. We are disappointed that we lost but more disappointed we could not put our best product on the floor. Maybe we can get everyone back healthy and play you all in region finals and maybe you can watch Coach Flynn and boys stay for pictures after the game. GOOD DAY!

volz, dont know what your implying but we have not had any kids leave jc to attend fcs. sure you have kids with ties to jc there. you have kids with ties all over the midstate at friendship. some have been recruited and some not. the kids your referring to with jc ties have not ever lived in jc. just because there parents, grandparents, or greatgrandparents lived there does not mean they abandon us. i am not dissing your school. i am sure it is a fine school, just dont come on here and act like those two kids could have come to jc and choose to go to fcs. they don't live anywhwere close to jc and never have!

By the way sportsfan there are at least 2 FC players with JC ties. Wonder why those kids are at FC rather than JC where each of their families are from.

I'd say even you could probably list 3-4 reasons if you thought on it. If you can't ask their parents or grandparents when you see them at the region tourney.

FC's proud that kids from all over the region choose to attend FC. I just wonder why you don't see kids from FC leaving for other Region 4 schools. Don't hate just cause you're too ignorant to comprehend!!

first of all i don't have a better way to do the strength rankings. however, i do think the system could be tweaked and made better. i do believe when a team plays up in classification or plays down in classification that should somehow be factored into the equation. for example, if a triple a team beats a single a team with a good record that looks good on their strength of schedule. i mean come on their triple a beating a single a. On the other hand, if a single a team loses to an average or less triple a team then their strength of schedule may go way down, when the triple a team may very well be way better than any single a team around. just bothers me to see some of those strength of schedule rankings and its triple a's who play as many single a's as possible. also, very unfair to single a's who play up vs. double and triple a's.

what is really bad is that this will be the site of the 4a region tourney. so stupid. someone from 8a needs to grow a set and stand up to watertown. guarantee you the 7a coaches would rather go somewhere else, especially trousdale. trousdale has bigger gym and much better parking.

i have saw livingston, upperman, and macon co. play. macon co. is the lesser of the three teams. there schedule, like always, is so weak. they will not head east and play the best teams around. therefore, gonna throw my two cents in and say you got them way to high in your rankings.

 

 

This one is a tough pick as I have seen most of these schools beat numerous AAA schools and this is a very good group.

not sure who wins but i am sure that the point guard from marshall county may be the best boy player EVER to step on to the court in livingston. saw him play last year and he is amazing.

I think they all ended in the great Jackson Co. just by looking at that 4-7 record.

First of all congrats to JC for reaching state and for taking out last years state runner up. And congrats to Manassas for winning and making it to the championship game. There were a few things that I would change.

 

1. Coach- you don't take a plan that has been working for you and got your boys to state then change it------DON'T FIX WHAT'S NOT BROKEN!!!!

 

2.You took out your player that got you there. You had a guy who shot over a 6 foot 7 guy but didn't even give him a chance to try over the 6 foot 8 guy at state.

 

3.You let a player that shot a 3 when he got it in his hands and didn't make a one of them. He should have stopped with 3's and maybe gone to the basket 2 is better than giving the other team the ball back without scoring at all. When he didn't stop, as a coach you should have made him stop by putting his rear on the bench and telling him stop. Then put him back in but make him think about it for a minute.

 

4.You had a player that scored 16 or so points in the sectional and you didn't even use him in the state, you had one that couldn't even hit the goal from the 3 point mark but still tried. Manassas had 6 players on the floor against 4 of ours. Every time that one player got the ball everyone around my area of the seats said, OHHHHHHHHH, he's gonna shoot a 3 and give it to the other team." Because he didn't hit any.

 

5. Finally I think that you just got out coached by a coach who knew what they were doing. I think maybe you were okay with just going to state and didn't care if you really won or not or maybe you were afraid of winning. /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":blink:" border="0" alt="blink.gif" />

i heard from a member of the so called "greatest team to ever come from the upper cumberland", that would be the '64 blue devils, that the boys from j.c. have never won a state tournament game. maybe this years bunch can keep up the streak their own and change that.

i played against marc and know him, he was a really good athlete. however, he was not in the league of chase dunn. hope this doesn't hurt your feelings, just being honest. best player i've seen at LA before chase was the miller boy. thats my 2 cents.

clay should have won at pickett but playing at pickett you have to be 10 points better than them and clay is better all around than pickett clay missed foul shots at pickett that would have won the game and if they would have made their fouls shots at clay they would have won by 20 and friday night against jackson co. clay went 29 for 33 at the line so we'll see how it turns out tues. night at LA

might not be so "lucky" as to get 34 foul shots this game. what a joke. no way one team should shoot 34 and the other team shoot 17. i will give clay this, they shot the free throw well. had they of not they would have lost.

how can the girl from la touch the ball while it was in the jackson county inbounders hands and this not be a technical foul? in the boys game with only a few seconds remaining in the first quarter one official bounces the ball to la to inbound and the inbounder throws the ball in, the ball hits the ref and goes out of bounds. the ref then gives the ball to la. this call was wrong, i don't know anyway this could be justified. maybe the refs didn't see the girls incident but the ball hit the ref in the boys incident, no excuse.

not true jimbo. kayci from smith county has not and probably will not play in the boro but she is a contender no doubt. if you were picking a team you would probably have to take her 1st pick.

The Christmas Tourny in Lafayette starts next Thursday. What are the teams in this and who are the better teams expected in this? I'm from Smith Co. and I know we are playing in it. We play Watertown around 2 on Thursday and these 2 teams played already this season with Smith Co. going home with the win. I think we won by 15. I think this time Watertown will be more ready and will want this win bad. But I know for a fact Smith Co. will want it just as bad and I believe it will be a good game. Go black and gold.

can someone please post the entire boys bracket including start times for the games on thursday.
