  1. ACTUALLY they only run ruled us once and if a correct call is made that game may not have been run ruled...your argument about not pitching people is the same argument we could make but instead we choose to congratulate you on your win and give you all the credit you deserve so why is it hard for you to give another team that same credit? the good thing is ...it is just a poll unlike college football(using your analogy)there is a playoff in high school baseball

No doubt..we all know the only poll that matters is at the end when the final game is played in Murfreesburo..and these polls will change

  2. I honestly think there was no intention of leaving the trophy behind. Talking to some of the Farragut players, they were unaware of a trophy being presented. Sounds like a misunderstanding to me

  3. The Honky Tonk Man noticed at one of last years state playoff games PF was doing his impersonation of a gunslinger. Pointing finger , shooting then blowing the smoke off. I guess if you are throwing smoke it's ok, no class but ok. So no suprise, it was below their standards.

Haw Haw it aint easy being #1 but the Honky Tonk Man never forgets the little people.

Maybe teams shouldn't taunt at him and chant when he is on the mound. And if the trophy wasn't presented and was still in a box it would be easy to pass up in the haste and frustration of a loss. Coach Pharr has more class than anyone in the state. Friend or foe of Farragut you can't disagree with that. Sounds like a simple misunderstanding to me. I wouldn't take much for it. That's all

  4. I know farragut is good, i know farragut is great. That is not my problem. It is pretending like they are the only good team in tennessee that is my problem. Not once have i seen a single farragut person on here mention any other team besides farragut. Believe me, you are not untouchable. I'm not saying Catholic is better or any school here is better. But farragut is beatable. 6 probable D-1 players is good, and they do deserve most of their rankings, (i'm not sure about #3 though...) but it is like maryville in football, they can be beaten, even if they have all of their D-1 players and great coaching.

Any team can win on any day.there are plenty of good teams around here no doubt

  5. farrugat is filled with a bunch of snotty and arrogant kids who know nothing. their parents and coaches feed them with this. they are great at every sport dont get me wrong. but there is no use in arguing with a kid from farrugat or however you spell it. there will be no end. no one like you faragut. get over yourselves.

looks likes it's you who knows nothing

  6. The reason i dislike farragut (yet I respect them and the program, don't get me wrong)...

This will be controversial because everyone will be like oh you hypocrite, but at the same time i don't think its right for any team to do this.

But Farragut can pretty much get any player to go there for baseball. If i'm not mistaken (which i may be, i've heard from various people) Cooper on this years team is from Karns, Ramsey last year was from some place that wasn't in knox county, but moved with someone to go there? And i'm sure various other players had their ways of choosing where to go whether it be moving or transferring. I'm not saying its recruiting, i'm just saying a lot of people go there supremely for the success of the team.

I know that Catholic is a mixing pot of people from everywhere (and i just counted and 20 of the 24 players are from catholic schools) but without those other people that come to our school, we might not be able to have much success in sports. Farragut on the other hand has a huge class come through every year and has plenty to choose from, how can people go just for baseball. No one goes to any other school just for baseball...without scholarships.

Now i know that people are probably going to get all worked up and stuff, but thats just my opinion which is what the post asked for.

I understand where you come from. But there are players who seek to come to Farragut for baseball to be apart of a championship team. there is nothing wrong with that. But coach Pharr does not recruit whatsoever and trust me he is a fantastic coach and gets everything out of his players. The talent alot if the time is bread by him

  7. That's a violation.

His grandparents live in the Farragut district and were zoned for the farrgut schools. Who he spends his time with or where he sleeps is no violation or anyones concern. I doubt anyone knows his family situation and for him to spend time with a teammate when his legal residence is in the farragut district is no violation

  8. I never said Faragut was cocky. Only seen them play once. At State in 03 against Memphis Houston while we were waiting for the field where our game was to be held to dry off...

Even if they are cocky, they back it up.

No i know I wasn't referring to you saying they were cocky it was a joint response to another post. Not to you. Sorry about that.

I believe it is under morals and ethics

Just because other teams don't use the rules to their advantage doesn't mean the Admirals have bad morals and ethics. That was a stupid thing to say.

  9. I really respect the Farragut program. Their body of work is truely amazing...

With that being said, I do get grin sometimes when they lose. I guess that's the "Yankee Factor." It gets old seing the same year dominate year after year, and everyone LOVES an underdog...

And I am NOT one of the Region 2AAA Farragut Haters. I played 1A ball, so being able to play, let alone beat Farragut, was never, ever in the question.

Heck ya its the Yankee factor. A big bullseye is on their back every time they take the field and they are well aware of it. That is how sports work. But to say the Admirals are cocky because they show up to win has no logic behind it.

  10. Well i mean i get a lot of times at the games watching being since sadly i was layed off last year :[ and i noticed that Farragut is def more cocky than bearden fellows and talk about to officials about 10 times more

Just because Farragut wins most of their games doesn't mean they are cocky. Seems to me that's the only point you have. The win. So therefore they are cocky. That sounds stupid.

  11. With all honesty I love watching Admirals Baseball, they are well coached and execute well, and this is coming strictly from an unbiased baseball fan. The reason most people dislike Farragut is because they act like pricks. The only thing worse than a poor loser is a poor winner.

I'd like to know how the Farragut Admirals act like pricks. Last time I saw the Admirals play, they got off the bus whooped your tail and got back on the bus and left. The players never have conversations with the fans and play the game with intensity the way it was meant to be played. So don't go around calling the Admirals pricks or any team for that matter because of some 16 year old high school student running their mouths on a pointless website.

  12. I like watching good baseball. A lot of people including coaches don't like to see them do well because they don't follow the off season rules. There are certain times throughout the year where there are no open facilities. This means no field time, weightroom, etc... There are about 4 teams that ignore the rules, and they are one of them.

That is a interpretation of the rules. Obviously teams don't have the strive to be the best they can be like the Admirals do.

  13. I personally dislike Farragut baseball because they all got brand new cars and a $10,000 salary to go play there. CHEATERS!!!! Oh and i also dislike Farragut baseball because they all take steroids and pay off the umpires so they can win. Once again, CHEATERS!!!! hahaha /roflolk.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflolk:" border="0" alt="roflolk.gif" />

It nice to get a good laugh once in awhile. hahaha. THEBEARDENUNIVERSITY keeps giving me good laughs with all his jokes.

  14. 1. Honesty??¦Your team can??™t compete with a program as well funded and supported by

countless volunteers. Most of us must PAY just to field a team.

    2. Envy ??¦ You envy the fact that they can pull all the best players out of Knox Co.

While the rest of us must draw from a pool of players that are zoned to our

    school only.

    3. Coaching??¦.Farragut has coaches that are proven winners and a mainstay in their

community. Many schools don??™t know who??™s their coach is from year to year.

    4. Yankee factor??¦They are always good and everyone loves to beat up on the best team

    aka: the New York Yankees.

    5. Jealousy ??¦....Be honest, you wish your kid could play for, be coached by and be

talked about on Coach T like the Farragut players are. I know I do!

    6. Fear??¦??¦??¦..If you play them and they win then all your posts ridiculing them are

wasted, and "Wait till next year" just doesn't cut it.

Bottom line Farragut is a great "PROGRAM" not just a great team. Programs are built over many many years, not just the 4 years your son plays.

FYI ??¦I am in no way associated with the Farragut Admirals.

Just my opinion..Go ahead, let me have it. I love to "Stir the pot".

This is great! It's about time people start showing some respect for a team that has a winning tradition. Trust me. All the nonsense just fuels the fire.
