RandyMc. Can you sit on the front row of the bleachers? We call them floor seats. Mr. Coach from S'ville did push a cheerleader. It's fact. I don't know where you are going with this other than just rambling. I know you are standing up for S'ville, but really where are you going with this? You tried the SRO and it failed tonight so what else do you have sir?
it's a fact that she was pushed, but also a fact that it wasn't intentional.. he was doing his job by trying to get the guys to the locker room and then something that wasn't that big of a deal became a big deal, if it's not intentional now why was it such a big deal that it was intentional then. Coach Thomas was then pulled to the side because of that leaving the team way in front of the assistant coaches who had to break up the fight after it had started not much you can do then. I just don't understand why the cheerleader didn't understand that he was trying to get his team to the locker room and to get out of the way.. maybe she didn't realize but at the time she made it seem like he picked her up and tossed her by the way she was acting, but not it's an unintentional move to the side. Funny how things change after our best player is suspended.
From what I understand from her father, she was standing with her back to him and she was pushed from the back, not knowing who or what was happening. She probably weighs 90 lb soaking wet. I feel pretty sure that she was not acting.

So how about the SCHS student section making that same claim - not so angelic either.
He still made the choice to react, understandable or not. I am just saying that many players have heard many ugly remarks without incident.
-
I keep getting this mental image of Shelbyville's student section sitting across the gym with halos on their heads singing hymns. I have been to many a SCHS vs. LCHS ballgame and heard as bad or worse taunting from their side. What I guess I am saying is that mouthing and taunting have gone on for a LONG time on BOTH sides.
As a parent of a hard-working athlete, it takes everything within me to be still and quiet at a game where students of the opposing team are riding your son or daughter. I would like to give a shout out to all the players everywhere who have heard the taunting and played through it even though it was extremely difficult to do. They are the real heroes to me. Countless hours of practice, sweat, and pain are poured into every team's season; it seems a shame to me that they have to endure what I would say is verbal abuse when all they ever want to do is play a game they love for a school they love. Getting off my soapbox now.....
-
I am afraid it looks like they lost... a lot.
-
Whatever the case, it will definitely make for an interesting finish to the season.
-
Take it somewhere else, Slow. Not for here.
-
Slow and Binns, there were many things that should have been different on that evening, not just two.
-
Absolutely - like I said before - a team where more than one person can be counted on to step up and help carry the load. It's great to be able to go to the bench and find all kinds of strengths there, too.
-
Way to go, Wildcats and LadyCats!!! Great job tonight and all season!!! Congrats to Coach Clark, too!
-
Bball, too bad you can't be talking on your own thread about your own team...guess there is not much to say...except that they can walk to their where, oh yeah, locker room.
-
Maybe if they can continue to walk to their locker room without incident we will all be impressed. Until then, we are not.
-
Well said! Build a bridge.....
-
That's one thing I like about this team - it's not a one man show most of the time - true team effort.
-
I believe that Tullahoma defeated Shelbyville as well....
-
Lawrence County wins over Columbia 53-52!
Way to go, Wildcats!!
-
Not sure how to solve or remedy the problem, but I do know that unchecked power is NEVER a good thing.
-
Have we really forgotten how Shelbyville (student section) loves to dish it out? Looks like someone cannot take the heat....just sayin'. - from someone who has been on their end of the rudeness in past years.
-
Congratulations to both the LCHS Lady Cats and the Wildcats!!! Great job!!
-
Way to go, Lawrence Co.! You had a great season. You hung in there tonight with the 5-3 score - good job, Drew Stofel! You pitched well and got out of some tough situations. Keep your chins up, guys! You have had a great season.
-
Good Luck, Summertown Eagles!!

Dang can we let this topic die. Maybe it happened, maybe it didn't it's over let it go. Congrats on Shelbyville beating a darn good Siegel team. Can one of the moderators please lock this tread so it can be over.

really?
i don't have to 'watch tapes' the incident happened right in front of me.
but if you must know, schs has many people filming their games..one of which being my dad.
i've seen it about 10-15 times over and over.. i'll be sure to send you a copy /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
Don't have to = have my own copy. It happened. Get over it. SCHS is not the only hs with a basketball team or adoring fans or video cameras. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />

i was at the game, and i know this is old, his suspension is already over.
but he barely, if even at all, hit the lawrence county player. i don't know if
anyone else caught the whole lawrence county team being over dramatic about
everything that happened to them, so of course he would get checked for a concussion.
he was being a huge cry baby..if he had a concussion he wouldn't of played the rest of
the game after deonta gave him a piggy back ride. deonta reacted just like the lawrence county
player would of done if the tables were turned.. deonta reacted because the player was
all over him, even after the whistle was blown. when deonta first tried to get lose was when
the elbow was thrown a little too loosely, and the ref automatically threw his arms up in the
direction of the door implying an ejection. the ejection was over board, a technical would of suited
him just as well. he's a great athlete and wouldn't intentionally do that, especially to ruin the teams
chances and his own high school basketball career. as for you, wildcat, you are obviously from
tullahoma, and our long time rivalry will never end, just because you don't like shelbyville in general
doesn't mean you have to be irrational.
LOL. I am sure you DO know it all. BTW, which tape did you watch? And look in the mirror for irrational behavior!

yes we need a shot clock and yes we need to change the jump ball and i think that the 3 point line needs to be sanded up. if there was no 3 point line then there would be a lot more d-fence played games were a lot better when there was no 3 point line.
hmmm . . . interesting
