  1. There's the classic Farragut comeback. When did I ever state that Bearden was better than Farragut??? Go back and look at all my posts and you'll see that this thread has been about curt vs ryan. Gosh u Farragut guys are the biggest tools...all of yall that don't play (yes I know that u have probably never seen the field at Farragut bc none of the starters would be on here talking like u do) are on the starter's tip so bad. If this is Sam Thomas like I've heard it is then all I have to say is /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> congrats on seeing the field at Farragut...oh wait u never did bc u were never good.

hahah thats hilarious, when did i say u said bearden was better? read my posts u dumb f uck, i said Curt is much much better and he is. and no this isnt sam thomas how many times do i have to say that? i bet he would love to see ur post though, he'd probly laugh his ###### off. so since i showed its obvious that Curt is by far better than ryan, u have nothing to say other than to make fun of some random kid who isnt even on the team? hahaha thats sad /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />

  2. Dude Bulldogs get off Farragut's tip. You started the topic of why Farragut baseball is so good and s hit but ur name is Bulldogs? And for the fact I can guarantee that Curt IS NOT bigger or stronger. Have you seen Ford? He's a beast..and ur other point. They were both at a Perfect Game showcase and while Powell did run a faster 60, Ford had more v-lo across the infield. stink on that...dawgs ######

hey man, all i gotta say is Farragut is 3rd in the country in TWO polls, ESPN and Collegiate Baseball...and number 10 in Baseball America. u maryville scrubs arent even in the East Tennessee Buttcrack Poll. and talk about on someone's tip, all u've talked about nonstop is how ryan ford is so good and how he's so big and strong and fast... oooh la la it sounds like u wanna have a bromance with him /flower.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":flower:" border="0" alt="flower.gif" />

  3. That kid is nice all-around baseball player. All of the top SEC school are looking @ him.

this kid isnt that great sorry, Jordan Cooper and Phillip Pfeifer from Farragut are both better lefties than this scrub... Coop struck out 12 in 5 innings and only allowed 1 hit the other day against pigeon forge. this england smith kid couldnt hold Coop's jock.

  4. Alright rebel, here you go. My totally objective comparison here with stats and everything to show why Curt is obviously better.

Curt is signed to play for Vanderbilt first of all, one of the best college programs in the nation.

Ryan is signed to play for MTSU which isn't bad by any means at all, but it just isn't Vandy.

    Advantage Powell

Curt has started since his freshman year, batted leadoff every year, and played a huge roll for Farragut winning state his freshman year.

Ryan has only been starting since last year if i remember correctly, and had to wait behind Justin Miller.

    Advantage Powell

Curt batted over .493 last year, had 8 homeruns and almost led the team in RBIs with 56 in the leadoff spot. (with a hurt wrist)

Ryan batted .361 with only 1 homerun last year. good, but nowhere near Curt's stats. (Curt batted .335 as a freshman just for a comparison)

    Advantage Powell

Curt ran a 6.59 this year at the National Showcase at Tropicana Field and stole 3rd base many times last year.

Ryan u said ran a 6.7 which is really fast, but going by times and steals, once again Curt gets the nod.

    Advantage Powell.

And the most important stat of all.

Curt and his team have 2 state championships that he has had a major hand in.

Ryan and his team have not been to state, although they should've gone last year.

    Adavantage Powell.

All this was was comparing stats side by side. If u still have an argument that Curt is not the better player, it is because a) you go to maryville and hate Farragut because they are better than you. b.) you have a personal vendetta against Curt for beating you out for SS in summer ball or something stupid like that c). a combination of A and B.

End of conversation. Both are great players, but Curt is by far the better players hands down.

  5. With the 2009 season just a week away, I thought a historical perspective on the last 10 years might be fun. I have lived in middle tennessee for 15 years and feel fortunate to have seen many great players and teams in that time spand. Every year teams across the state's highest level have dreams of winning it all and being crowned State Champions. One team gets to turn dream into reality.......one team!

I have put together a 10 year history (1999-2008) of the TSSAA AAA Baseball Tournament. When looking at this remember that in the earlier part of the decade (99-02) only 4 teams made it to the state tournament. Expansion came in 2003, and 8 teams have reached the state tournament since. Arguements can be made for both formats, but this observer feels like the state tournament has been watered down since 2003.

    Ok, here are my findings

    Farragut-8 trips (99,01-06,08) 4 Championships (03-04,06,08) 3 Runner-Up (99,01-02) 25-9 .735 winning %

There have been 28 teams reach the state tournament in 10 years

11 teams have reached the championship game

    6 teams have won championships

It was a great decade of baseball in Tennessee......how will the next one compare???

Please feel free to share you thoughts

Man thats great stuff right there... i know Tennessee isn't the best high school baseball state by any means, but man there have been some great players come out of Tennessee. Cool to see everyone's stats too

  6. 1. I bet you don't even play for Farragut...ur prob one of the 40 players on the team since no one gets cut and u think ur the sugar bc ur on almighty Farragut...and ur prob on all the starter's nuts hardcore

    2. I really hope ur joking about football..we'll show just how good we really are when we play 6a next year

    3. Ur a tool and belong on Tool Academy and labeled as "The dude who isn't athletic but talks sugar because he's on a good team tool"

    1. hahah did that make any sense whatsoever? Farragut is so far ahead of u all in baseball u cant even get close enough to kiss their ######. how many times did they beat u guys last year? 3, 4?

    2. u look like a straight up homo everytime u say s h i t, cuz if u havent noticed whenever u say that, it turns it to "sugar" on here...

    3. maryville plays 4a ball in football. heck, Farragut wouldve had a 2000 game win streak in that amateur hour league. but thats another story..

  7. Not one person gives a sugar about girls cross country, girls golf, and boys and girls track...I'll give u props for baseball because ppl actually care about baseball. You can go ahead and mark down BHS for a state title in basketball this year bc they're the best team I've ever seen come through East TN in my 18 years. Science Hill will make state like always bc they have the easiest pathway to state since they get to play the ###### competition in NE TN and then play whoever Farragut beats in the regions.

hey have u maryville rednecks put that sacred bat into ur trophy case yet? u know the one that hit a homerun off Matt Ramsey last year when Farragut was beating u guys by 10? i recall ur team reacted as if they had won the state tournament and i just thought u might've put it in there since Coach Pharr told u to and since that is the closest u will ever get to winning anything in baseball. i also cant wait till maryville gets whooped by Farragut in 6A football next year. goodday sir.

  8. I just want to point out why i don't like farragut. BECAUSE THEY GET ON EVERY POST ABOUT THEM AND POST THE SAME REDUNDANT STATEMENTS LIKE THAT EVERY SINGLE TIME. They think that they are the best team ever because one, ONE, poll put them at number three. I want to see them play some 5a schools from georgia, florida, alabama, texas, and california, and then tell me if they are still number three. They might be the best around here, but they don't have to act like it all the time. If they were REAL winners, they would win with humility and not spread this "they work hard and they are the best and everyone wishes to be like them"

    thats all. go ads

how can u say that Farragut doesn't deserve their current preseason rankings? last time i check i didnt see ANYBODY else from TN in ANY national poll. is it Farragut's fault that they don't have the money or the time to go to these big time tournaments in california/texas/georgia, etc? I mean heck if u think a team with 4 current D-1 signees and 2 guaranteed future ones isn't one of the top teams in the nation, u need to lay off whatever drug ur on and come back to reality.

  9. i know farragut beat bartlett fair and square but that was bartletts worst game of the year it came at the wrong time. That game reminds me of the memphis vs kansas basketball game. We got out coach, if it was done all over coach clark would change his pitching a whole lot different. If that was a series bartlett would win 2 out of 3

How do you figure they would win 2 of 3? Farragut was the better team, with the better players, and the better coach. Sounds like you Bartlett people are still bitter about Farragut beating you AGAIN in a state title game.

  10. You asked for reasons. Have you heard enough.

how bout u just shut up already about Farragut and just realize that they are better than whatever team u play/cheer for. i mean my god, get over it man. its called HARD WORK. come watch one of their practices, theyre open anyday of the week for everyone to see and they start at 3:45. go see for yourself what a real baseball team looks like when they practice.

  11. Siegel plays Farragut on a friday too.

nobody can say Coach Pharr doesnt challenge his team with a tough schedule. last time i saw Farragut has just about every good middle tn team on it this year: collierville, blackman, usj, siegel, bartlett, BGA, and mount juliet are confirmed. should be a great year of baseball in TN, i know im ready.

  12. it doesn't really matter but we all know you go to Farragut but don't play baseball.

i mean its pretty obvious i go to farragut i would think. u just look really dumb now because u've been sayin i'm sam. whatever tho its cool.

Jeff Lockwood at UT went to Halls. And not making personal stabs at the kid, because he had a fabulous high school career at Farragut and deserves all the rescpect in the world, but Lockwood has been alot more productive to his team then Capatano has been to North Carolina.

agreed, but u also have to look at their teams. UNC is a nationally ranked powerhouse filled with countless all-americans.. UT is a crappy SEC school with a couple studs (lockwood, davis, morgado). none of those UT guys can ever say theyve pitched 3 innings at the College World Series on national television. i just dont see why everyone thinks rob is overrated because he arm troubles and moved back home?

  13. Actually this is what you said. "Tell me the last bearden player to even make it to the minor leagues. hmmm.... NONE." I see nothing having to do with "since 2003" in there.

a few posts ago you said something about comparing since 2003, but not in the new post. you need to be more specific.

oh sorry my bad man!!! anyways ur in college bro how bout u do something instead of arguing with a highschool kid on a highschool sports website... ok thanks

  14. Last time i checked, he also got a 1 million dollar plus signing bonus. So he must be a rich idiot then. Tell me the last bearden player to even make it to the minor leagues. hmmm.... NONE. your probably just some bearden kid who is mad because bearden is always number 2 to Farragut. to bad they don't give out big rings for that..

  15. By the way I'd like to know how you know that potter doesn't throw upper 80s. You wouldn't know.

Because i've seen him pitch ALOT. You guys are on here saying he throws 88-90. And that just isn't true. Ryan is a great pitcher but his best pitch is his curveball, and he relies on hitting his spots more than blowing it by people. And you both know thats the truth, and thats all i've said from the beginning is that he doesn't throw 90 which is the truth

  16. Well my childhood was rough thats why i am on here. I just recognize the better team in the area as Bearden. However I am 43 and just go to high school baseball games. I just love these boys.

WOW. Better team in the area? Let's compare since 2003. Farragut has 4 STATE TITLES, three top 5 national rankings, and a first round draft pick in Kyle Waldrop. Bearden has no state titles, no state appearances, no first round draft picks, no ANYTHING. Farragut beat bearden FOUR times last year out of their 6 losses. This is the dumbest argument i've seen in awhile. There's no comparison.
