  2. Oneida is weak sauce.  Lambert will try to convince them with hellfire and brimstone all week, but at the end of the day the Indians just don't have the horses.

Tigers at home are worth at least 7-10 points.  From what i have seen, TL doesn't have anyone that can match up with the #7 kid at RW.  If he can stay healthy, presents a mismatch all night long.  Ole Chuck Webb down there will put something together to scalp the Injuns.

    Injuns--14

    Tigers--32

  3. OK......OK........#25 from Hampton was good.......yes he could run.......but not 4.3

Yes 4.3 does exist in HS.......just not in this state, and definitely not some kid from Upper East TN

Rockwood will be just fine in this one.........Coach Webb will have his kids ready to compete.  RW has had to play Austin East the past 4 years in our previous Region, so I don't think Tyner's speed will be anything different from AE.

IMO......RW has played an overall tougher schedule than Tyner.

We will see.........Always fun to still be playing this time of year.

  4. I just thought it was quite interesting that T$$AA already established cut-off numbers for the 3 Division II classifications before enrollment numbers were due...........But no mention of any cut-off numbers for the public schools had to turn their numbers in.

Example:  Anybody think its interesting that WEBB and CPA both turned in counts of 449 with the cut number being 451 to move to biggest private school division???

  5. With around 20 teams hopefully going into Division II, cutting to 5 classes should have possibly gone into effect.it would have compressed the distances in regions a bit on the average. Too late now.

This will be the way that T$$AA will stick their tongue out at all of us when everything is finalized.  They will stick it to as many small public schools as they can with respect to "Travel".

Then when they complain......and you know somebody will.......T$$AA will be happy to give them all the proverbial; "Nanny Nanny Boo Boo, told you so!"  "This is what you all wanted!! Deal with it."

Just too many unknowns right now.  But either way, T$$AA will be sure their pockets are lined well by the time the Jolly Ole Elf squeezes down the chimney!!!

  6. you were quoting a comment from VOLFAN1990 that was made towards me and using it to take shots at Hampton. It's evident that you are the one that's incapable of keeping up with the convo.

Ok....that's my fault. My post was not a shot at you......It was more so a testament to the fact that all of this message board stuff means nothing at the end of the day. Although many on here would probably spit their coffee out all over their key boards. Just some friendly banter back and forth with an occasional ribbing mixed in.

Lots of panties in a bunch this evening.

  7. hey genius. That comment was aimed at me (Rockwood), not Hampton. Go back and read the thread instead of looking for any little dig on Hampton that you can find. We like to get a little redneck down here in the valley too. We call it "passion" and support for our school

Didn't say anything about RW in my post. U have no idea where my allegiance lies. Appreciate the compliment tho. Keep your hands fresh for the RW/GCA thread. Plus it's hard to keep up on both threads with only 2 fingers pecking. Also passion/support have never appeared on the scoreboard at the end of a game. TD's are much more useful on Friday night.

  8. I find you to be quite ridiculous. I don't have an entitlement attitude, those are just words you've made up to describe someone that you know absolutely nothing about. Besides I'm not the coach nor do I play on the team so my attitude has no impact on the game whatsoever. Yours doesn't either by the way, you're kidding yourself if you think anything you say on here matters.

Hampton Goat herders get restless at times. Tend to get a little red arsed when "some" don't see things through those baby blue colored glasses. They think message boards mean something. But I will say it again. Nice season!!! See u next year with another 10-0/9-1. Yawn

  9. Same ole story for the Bullpuppies this week.

10-0......9-1 every year. Might win one play-off game against a team that didn't belong in the play-offs to start with....Then reality sets in......and they play somebody from a little farther South.

The last time Hampton won a play-off game against a quality opponent IMHO was when most of your current players were in Pre-K(AKA Cow milking in Carter County).

History repeats once again.  But even if it doesn't........Grace/Rockwood will take care of you next week.

    Nice season tho!

  10. Harriman is still Harriman

    Rockwood is still Rockwood

Harriman became extremely 1 dimensional in the 2nd half. Became the #30 show. Also Harriman looked to be out of shape and winded when it counted. Probably a product of the off week and playing inferior opponents leading up to this game.

Rockwood was battle tested and made plays when they had to. 2 big scoring chances negated by turnovers inside the 10. Score was prolly closer than it should have been.

  11. This game can go 1 of 2 ways.

1--Harriman jumps out front early and never looks back......hamstringing the Tigers into catch up mode in which they will struggle.

2--Game is a grind it out 2-3 possessions for each team per half.  This type of game will obviously be close until then end.

If scenario #1 plays out, IMHO....It could be the game that saves Coach Tapp's job.

If scenario #2 plays out, I like the Tigers to win in a close one just because they are used to beating Harriman.

    Hater1--OUT!

  12. RW clearly the better team. Bucs were sloppy, undisciplined, questionable play calling......plus acted like babies when they didn't get their way. Several personal fouls, unsportsmanlikes.

On to Oneida. Enjoy turning ur uniforms in

Peg Leg Pete statue can be put away for the winter

    I'm out

    Haterlicious.

  13. You continue to pump Marion on every thread you can. They beat a SP team that's down this year and now they are world beaters. I choose to look at their record, which is good. However, they haven't played anybody other than SP that was decent. Let the playoffs play out and let's see if they're that good before we crown them. They might be that good, but a 9-1 record against a soft schedule doesn't impress most of us.

Marion schedule is definite weak sauce!!! Better worry about their own quad first!!!

  14. Rams looked disinterested last week.

Extremely vanilla in the offense with playcalling as well as tempo.

Couple of decisions just left me scratching my head.

But, still a solid football team.  Just no where near the same Grace team we are used to seeing in District 3 play.

Refused to throw the ball down the field very often at all.

Had some short yardage situations where they were running East/West instead of North/South.

And I am still trying to figure out why they went for 2 when an Extra point would have made it a 2 possesssion game.

If they come out as flat and vanilla as last week....the playoff run will end quickly for the Rams.
