  1. Ok I'got it thanks hope to be in S'field tonight.

That's a start for discussion. Help fill in the blanks and any anticipated weights class changes.

I believe that's Gary Collins at 103 from Hendersonville, not Gary Morris. At 135 Belcher from Wilson Central is not Region 7. I believe Wilson Central is Region 5.

Okay I fell for it hook, line and sinker. Take a bow "mikescott". I feel like E.D. Ott now. I must say, however, that the fun and games went too far. You suggested the Maxwell boy cheated the hydration test, called another wrestler a thief, and made unkind reference to a UTC wrestler's past indicretions. Sure that may be something that the fictional character from The Office would have done, but that does not make it funny or acceptable in the real world.

  4. mikescott's true identity has been revealed. His real name is Bud Insky. He goes by other names, too.

    Ima Johnson

    I.P. Squatting

    Richard Head ("Dick" for short)

and, as previously report, Morris Ron.

    aka Dick Lessman

    aka Schiffer Braynes

  6. Would someone please shut this guy up?! He called a generous benefactor of wrestling a pimp, he made an unkind reference about "kool-aid" and a UTC wrestler, he suggests that there is widespread cheating in high school wrestling including pointing an accusing finger with no proof at a Karns wrestler. Does anyone else care to add anything? Oh yes, he just joined four days ago.

I like Coach T. I look forward to the ideas and opinions, the rankings and the predictions. I also like the good-natured kidding among some of the members. Guys like mikescott (lower case used intentionally) need to clean up their act.

  7. Well I would venture to say that there is no temperature mechanism because I know for a fact that many kids cheat on the hydration test, not because they need to for the most part, but because it is a game to see if you can do it and not get caught. The testers at the schools I've been around do not check very hard, because I know of a lot of kids that have cheated and gone on to win state titles. Savage is right in that no one would admit to it to someone they don't know, but it still goes on. I'm not going to name names because I like all the kids I can name and wouldn't want to single them out when many more athletes are in offense.

If you are not willing to back up your accusations then keep quiet. This is very serious. You are publically questioning the integrity of people. You are calling them liars and cheaters. It is very irresponsible. It puts a black eye on the athletes, the coaches, and the wrestling community. Wrestling is a gentleman's sport. A gentleman does not make accusations and call people cheaters and liars without having the stones to back up his claims.

Last season there were 28 TSSAA state champions. You suggest that many of them cheated the hydration test. Who? Come on, scottie boy, who did it? Stop running your mouth and saying you know this and you know that and testers don't check very hard. I don't care how many state titles you supposedly won or how many years you wrestled in college. You are disgracing Tennessee wrestling with your suggestions and innuendos.

  8. Old Chin,

Looks like MBA took it on the chin... I heard the Nashville Catholic Team embarrassed MBA.... MBA won only one match in that dual... Don't know about McCauly... Barrel

MBA has nothing to be embarrassed about. They have a fine team as always. I believe it ended up this way:

    1st Nashville Catholic

    2nd MBA

    3rd Brentwood Acad.

    4th Hendersonville

Not in top four: McCallie, Dickson County, Cookville, and Franklin Road Acad.

  9. Well would you say half the guys cheated? One quarter? I know I've seen heavies and 215's do it just because the rest of the team was and they wanted to be part of the action. I've seen one kid go in the bathroom with a plastic baggy filled with water to pour in his cup. Others have came out from being tested only to brag about scooping water when the test administrator wasn't looking. Even more have tried to walk in with water already in their mouths. I know for a fact it is done quite often and that it is a large percentage. Is this really cheating? On another note is it really so bad to train during the dead week?

I think this is completely out of line to come on here and make such statements. It is offensive and insulting. You got proof? You want to name names? If not you should keep quiet.

  10. What percentage of state medalists do you think cheated on their hydration test? How serious of an offense do you see this to be? Before people question whether or not kids do this, they for sure do. I don't see scooping as a big deal, at the end of the day all competitors have to make weight and therefore are on an even playing field.

Mikescott what is with you? What kind of a question is that - "What percentage of state medalists do you think cheated?" How would anyone know the percentage? Who is going to make the accuasation? It is insulting! You seem to want to argue in all your posts and now this idiotic question.

  11. With the graduating class last year i can't expect much talent in state coming from this region. Look for a rebuilding year and maybe some threats in the next year or so. Maybe a couple of medals but not much growing over the summer or any training is the word. They will need some luck for a state championship team coming from region 4 in individual and state.

What?! This has been one of the toughest regions in the state! I had to go to the TSSAA site to make sure I wasn't mistaken. For dual meet competition Region 4 includes Bradley Central, Cleveland, Soddy Daisy and Ootelwah. For individual competition Region 4 includes Notre Dame, Red Bank, Soddy, and Ootelwah. How do you figure they need luck?

  12. i dont believe i asked you for my opinion now did i. And dont tell me what thread i can post in and which one i cant. i have my own opinion about things. i dont care if you like it or not because honestly i dont care about you and your worthless life

You know, I suppose nightime6 or daytime6 or whoever is right: If they want to come on here and run people down and talk nasty and be low class - an ignorant idiot jerk in general - they have that right. See you at state.

  13. Okay, now I gotta put in my two cents. I had to wait a few hours to calm down after reading biotch's rant. (Forget you too, buddy!)

The refs make bad calls sometimes. Coaches make bad decisions sometimes. Wrestlers make mistakes sometimes. When a wrestler messes up do we stand up and call him an SOB? When a coach makes a bad move do we all jump up and boo? Refs, like coaches and wrestlers, make mistakes but I am convinced that they don't make bad calls on purpose.

Last year at the state individual tournament a wrestler was disqualified in the championship match because he repeatedly grabbed his opponents head gear. He was warned repeatedly, he was penalized and ultimately DQ'd. For crying out loud if a ref makes a call, don't repeat the thing you got called for or you'll get called again. Anyway, after the match who caught heck? The ref. Sorry folks but it wasn't the ref's fault!

As far as playing God...what do you want, a timid ref? What's the ref supposed to do, call a side bar and get consensus from all interested parties? If there is one thing I cannot stand in any sport it is a timid official. Make the call and stick to it. Let there be no question in anyone's mind what the call is. Be confident. Being a ref takes a certain amount of arrogance. Without it the coaches and fans will destroy you. Go to one of the Middle Tennessee AAU middle school meets and see how some of the coaches bully some of the refs. It's pathetic! I have never been a ref, I don't want to be a ref, but I thank the men and women who are willing to do what it takes to ref for the TSSAA.

  14. The last PD that rigger is referring too was NOT a PD it was in fact an ILLEGAL move. A wrestler cannot be mat returned from behind to the side of a trapped arm. It is illegal and should be stopped before it happens the first time and DEFINATLY THE SECOND TIME. This was the situation in the 130 conso semi match. The wrestler was mat returned to the side of a trapped arm twice in a five second span the first knocked him silly and the second knocked him clean out. He was wheeled out on a stretcher and backboard after this. A wrestler injury defaulting on an ILLEGAL move? Sounds like a wrestlers chances of going to state where wheeled out with him and the handbook.

Is the H'ville kid ok? I didn't see what happened, but I hate to see any kid get hurt. Hope he's alright!

The H'ville kid is ok. He has a concussion so he can't wrestle for two weeks. No other injury as a result of the match with the Harpeth boy. He and his family are disappointed but understand that these things happen. He'll be back next year.

  16. heard rossview 103 (jeremy gonzales) got pinned by hendersonville 103 any truth to this???

    TRUE!

wasnt this kid undefeated???? is he still ranked state-wide???

Bray has him ranked 6th with no mention of Hendersonville's Trealor who PINNED HIM!!!

  17. Pilot Coach, I find it odd that you would ask that question. It is almost certain to stir up a fuss in the Wrestling Mat community. Besides, who really cares what we think? Not TSSAA. Anyway, it will be fun to hear what others have to say about the officials. Personally, I think we have a great bunch of officials, but what do I know....
