Is McNairy open? What happened?
-
Aren't you hosting a Jamboree that week?
-
Look for Kenwood to make some noise. They have one of the most dynamic players I have seen in Clarksville since Gildersleeve & Stephens. Rossview will be good again. Good athletes. They both & all of Clarksville will be chasing Henry County again this year. But.......one of them may catch them this season. Good luck to all.

I am sure that Mallory can coach. He comes from pretty good stock. His father is on the MTSU staff. Time will tell, but he does have some experience, just not as an HC. I don't know much about the Central situation, but I do know that more is expected from Graduate assistants as coaches more so than they were back in the day. Especially at mid major schools or FCS level and lower. He has to get his first HC job somewhere, Central might as well be that somewhere. I am interested in knowing what happened to the coach they just hired before Mallory.

It was probably the only hire they could have made at this point. What coach (that has already been turned down once by Central and probably recommitted to their own team) would want to go to the mess that is Central Football? Mallory is on staff at Central already and it will be an easy move to just put him in that position.
However, he must be the least qualified Head Football coach in the state. He didn't even coach football last year, no coordinating experience, and very little high school coaching experience. IMO, being a graduate assistant doesn't exactly qualify as "coaching".
I beg to differ biscuits. I will admit that some graduate assistants are there to run to Mapco and get coffee & cigarettes for the paid staff. That scenario is few & far between in today's college football world. However, I have first hand experience how it really is. Most of these guys (especially mid major schools) are given a position to coach and told to run with it. They meet at all hours like paid staff. They signal in plays and organize personnel on game day. Some schools choose to use young energetic men to coach positions because they do not have to pay them a salary. So...........do not judge the graduate assistant position on your own negative experience. Look at it this way, it should tell you something if you were not allowed to "coach" as a graduate assistant. If it does not pertain to you, then it is best to not say anything at all and just support Mallory & the kids.

Creek Wood wins both games. 3-2 in JV action. 9-0 in varsity.

I really doubt the exPC coach gets the job.
Don't ever doubt me again Alltime...........lol. Good luck to all 11 AA teams. ANyone having Spring games?
-
Dickson County has hosted one the last 2 years. Tons of reps and no standing around waiting to play. constant action. Coach Williams & his staff have done a great job with it.

Great 1st post ldchristy. would you like to elaborate on "average"? Maybe provide facts to validate your opinion?

Freshman WR Jacoby Stevens transferred from Ensworth to Oakland this spring. Supposedly the kid is a stud WR/S with 3 SEC offers. But y leave Ensworth to go to another team that just runs the ball 80% of the time?
Anyhoo, score 1 for the public schools. Always nice to see the Publics out recruit the privates
Probably because Ensworth runs the ball 92% of the time. lol

ClarksvilleFBinsider,
Tell us how you really feel. You seem to be holding back. lol

Confirmed. Great loss for Cascade. I think he is going to be working in "The no child left behind dept" with the school system.

I would consider a 6 figure salary, an OC, DC, 6 full time coaches, 0 teaching assignments, unlimited budget, and, oh I forgot, a car and expense account. I would come back to Maury Co. - that's what it would take. --------------------
CoachBob,
What is situation in Hickman County?
-
what years he play?
Mid to late 90's
-
Cubs1 who are you that you have all the inside information?
FBFan15, what about Coach Myers? I would assume he would have a good chance at this job being there already in the building. Fill us in.
-
Played at Hickman County. Has a successful stint at Perry County. Went to Police Academy and returned to Hickman County as a Math Instructor.
-
BS -wrong wey it is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Eassssssssssy Coach Bob W. You like to use a lot of exclamation points in your posts. I sense anger? LOL. Just keep us posted on shenanigans around the mid-state. Good luck at HCHS. Y'all have done some great things there.

Who is running workouts since the new coach will not be there until summer?
-
I think Hickman County made playoffs with Swenson, again under Patterson. I think they made playoffs with Murphy. They made playoffs in Daniel's both years. Rewis has done a great job there.
-
Just my opinion. Harrison. Former player and Perry County HC. He is back home teaching. Seems like a logical fit.
-
OC & RB coach at Kentucky Christian University. NAIA
-
I am sure Myers is in the mix. He has had some HC experience in the past. A former Bulldawg has moved back home following a successful stint as an HC at basketball dominated Perry County. I would assume he would be in the mix as well. CoachBob1 would know what is going on. Hope he chimes in.
-
I was told he was the RB coach!
Don't you ever speak to me again in that tone alltime! lol. Per Footballscoop & Donovan Stewart, he is now the OC & RB coach. I am sure he has to wear more than 1 hat at the NAIA level.
