  1. Correct me if I am wrong but the playoff picture looks like this:

    1. Cannon Co. is in with a win vs. Upperman or Smith Co.

    2. Smith Co. is in with a win vs. York or Cannon Co.

    3. Dekalb is in with a win vs. Livingston and Upperman

    4. York is in with a win vs. Smith Co. and Livingston with a Cannon Co. win over Smith Co.

    5. Livingston is in with a win vs. York and Dekalb Co.

    6. Upperman is in with a win over Cannon and Dekalb with a York loss vs. Smith Co. and Livingston

So, Livingston, Dekalb, Cannon and Smith are in control of their own destiny, while York will need help. Upperman is all but eliminated. The Cannon/Smith and Livingston/York games are very big and the Smith/York or Dekalb/Livingston game will be big as well in week 10 if Cannon wins depending on the Livingston/York game.

Smith, Cannon, and Dekalb look in good shape right now, but this could change.

    What does everyone else think?

i agree im ready to see if cannon is any different this year than the last few years vs.smith.. would love to see a district title come to woodbury

Just remember a Cannon win doesnt mean they are the champs. There will be a 3 way tie for first. DeKalb will only have 1 loss also.

So if Cannon beats Smith, there's a 3 way tie? in this event, since dekalb is 4a is cannon district champs or is smith?

  2. I heard that we did pretty good last week against White Co. I was wondering if anyone had the details. Also heard that Grizwald had to step down, not sure of the reason. From reading the post I see too much worrying about basketball on a football posting site! I just want our program to be successful and it is football season right now. As far as I am concerned, basketball could start the week after state championships.

It was pretty impressive for the first full padded scrimmage, it ended up 8-4 in Cannons Favor. The offense looked a little sloppy at first but got better. I have to say its been picked up great, Cannon County scored 4 times in 8 plays. And the defense forced 3 turnovers and looked fairly good.

But onto Coach Grizwolds, he did step down wednesday. All that was said was he had a couple of personal issues he had to deal with and I agree competely on the basketball comment haha.

  3. Owls 1, now your user name suggest you are an Owls fan  but your posts reflect you are a Lions fan :thumb: How can a Lion fan be Owl 1 :thumb:

Not an owls fan as my name may suggest. Im all Cannon County. Wont find a sporting event that i dont attend. Sorry for the confusion

This thursday Cannon county is scrimmaging at white county. Owls you going to be there? or you gunna be riding your 2 wheelers? haha

  4. We will know more after both teams have preseason games. Spring Hill is 4A so just guessing they will have more players and be slightly more athletic, but I really know very little about them. It will be Cannon's first game under a new coach and a new system so there will be several mistakes understandably because its the first game. As for the attendence I hope it is good, I know that fans will be curious to see if Coach Schrenk has more success here at CCHS than he had Clarksville Northwest. I know I will be there for sure. I will be interested to see how quickly players have picked up the spread and how many players actually dress out and how they respond to thew new coach. I hope there is good attendence and a victory for Canno, but it is way to early for me to make a prediction

Well wildcat, tonight was the last summer workout. Monday the boys start in full pads and the friday the 31st there will be a scrimage at cannon county against Lancaster Christian Academy. All that needs to be said, is that things are shaping up great with Coach Shrenk, hope to speak with you after the game.

Yeah just catch me after the game. Any other pre-season competition besides Lancaster Christian? Bees what type of spread does coach Schrenk use? is it a Dekalb Co. style or more of a run-oriented spread?

I'll make sure to do that, but yes there are 4 before the first game, i'll get back to you on the teams. But it's like dekalbs offense, we throw the heck out of the ball, but doesnt mean we wont run.

  6. I think after what saw at team camp down at Wilson Central, that Cannon County will be just fine. Cannon, Wilson Central, Watertown and Macon all participated in a two day camp. Cannon held there own in all 7 on 7 games against all 3 teams. So, with all the doubt or talk about depth I dont think that will be a problem, after talking to coach Shrenk he said Depth will not be a problem, we'll just be in twice as good shape as everyone we play.
