  1. As I stated in my last post in the thread about Pharr going to CAK...I believe that Bearden should/will go after Coach Rice from Karns. He does the most with the least out of any coach I've seen and in my 4 years at Bearden(ignore the username) , I believe we beat them 1x and we had WAY more talent then them. He's also a good player's coach and a very good friend of Buckner's so I'm sure he'll be recommended. Also, the guy from Sevier Co wouldn't be a bad choice either, bc he's turned around SC to a respectable program now and he seems like a very solid coach. Sullivan from Catholic might be a stretch, but I say him bc he is an alumni of BHS but I doubt they can pay him enough. I REALLY REALLY hope that they don't go for Matthews (guy who Pharr replaced at CAK) or Wright from West...BHS would be set back to how they were before Buckner if they hired either one of them.

  2. I think that Bearden will/should go after Rice from Karns. I'm sure Buckner will recommend him to the AD/Principal at BHS bc him and Coach Buckner were very good friends and talked all the time. Also, he is a great coach IMO and does the most with the least out of any other coach. He def gets the most out of his players, but at the same time he's a players coach and all the players who play under him love him from what I've heard. Sullivan would also be a very good choice since he played at BHS in the 90s but I don't think he'd leave Catholic bc they can pay him more than BHS can I"m sure. I hope and pray that they do not try and get Wright from West...that guy is an AWFUL coach and would take the program back to where it was in the early 2000s before Buckner came.

  3. I agree that Blevins doesn't really have any control over his players this year, but if he wins this way then I bet he'll take it bc he's never won state being the control nazi he usually is. Ppl who think Blevins doesn't care about how his kids act are ignorant, he might be the most controlling coach in the state. It doesn't matter who you are, if you get T'd up, get in trouble in school, or have a lazy practice he'll sit ur a ss.

  4. hey man, all i gotta say is Farragut is 3rd in the country in TWO polls, ESPN and Collegiate Baseball...and number 10 in Baseball America. u maryville scrubs arent even in the East Tennessee Buttcrack Poll. and talk about on someone's tip, all u've talked about nonstop is how ryan ford is so good and how he's so big and strong and fast... oooh la la it sounds like u wanna have a bromance with him /flower.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":flower:" border="0" alt="flower.gif" />

There's the classic Farragut comeback. When did I ever state that Bearden was better than Farragut??? Go back and look at all my posts and you'll see that this thread has been about curt vs ryan. Gosh u Farragut guys are the biggest tools...all of yall that don't play (yes I know that u have probably never seen the field at Farragut bc none of the starters would be on here talking like u do) are on the starter's tip so bad. If this is Sam Thomas like I've heard it is then all I have to say is /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> congrats on seeing the field at Farragut...oh wait u never did bc u were never good.

  5. I agree that Blevins needs to let them play. That was the one thing that I heard people talk about that was holding them back last year is that he made them slow the games down and play in the 60s...kinda like how boring old Farragut plays every year. This year though it seems like he does let them have more free reign than he has in the past couple years. He keeps the pressure on constantly and never relinquishes. You West TN boys are pretty cocky, but I'm telling you Bearden is legit. And for clarification I said one of the best to come out of EAST TN in a looong time, not the whole state.

  6. i agree with you 100%. im only 20 years old but its not close they are the best team ive ever seen in the state of tennessee!! an ive been to the state tourny many times. the way they played against oak hill i couldnt believe it. the only team i think compares is the 97 cleveland team with vincent yarborough an del baker

That team must've been pretty sick, but I doubt they had the supporting cast BHS does. BHS runs 10 guys in and out and just runs teams out of the gym. If you try to run with them, you're screwed. This team has every starter over 6'4 except for the PG and they all play above the rim. I've never seen more of an athletic team...they only lost to the #2 team in the country by 8 points guys. If they win state then they have an argument for the best team out of East TN in a LOOOOOOOng time.

  7. Either way...Curt Powell is a great athlete. Ryan Ford is also a great athlete.. Curt Powell has 2 rings on his finger. Ryan Ford has 0.

Curt = Faster, Bigger, Stronger, Throws alot harder across the infield. and swings the bat better than any leadoff in the state..

    Ryan= Slower, Smaller,

Now u tell me who u would rather have Curt hitting about .500 8 HRS and over 55RBIs in 2008

    OR

Ryan hitting just above .350 1HR and i dont know how many RBIs he had in 2008

Honestly i would rather have Powell behind me... what do yall think?

Dude Bulldogs get off Farragut's tip. You started the topic of why Farragut baseball is so good and s hit but ur name is Bulldogs? And for the fact I can guarantee that Curt IS NOT bigger or stronger. Have you seen Ford? He's a beast..and ur other point. They were both at a Perfect Game showcase and while Powell did run a faster 60, Ford had more v-lo across the infield. stink on that...dawgs ######

  8. I come on here expecting to see a huge thread on Bearden's 93-43 Region Champ. win over Oak Ridge...yes a 50 point win in the championship yet all I see are threads about teams that are jokes compared to Bearden. I saw them play Maryville 3 times this year and watched several other games including the Oak Hill game and game tonight and without a doubt this is the best team to come through East TN in a LOOOOOOONG time. This team is so athletic and plays above the rim and pressures team constantly.

  9. obviously the scouts and the people that truely know what they are talking about think curt is better ryan is great but hes not 2nd team all american good you need to watch your self on this one reed or greenway

Bro, I'm goin based off of what I've seen in person. Yeah I know about all those stats favor Powell and I know he's a great player, but head to head Ford out performed him. It isn't Ford's fault that he had to stay behind Justin Miller who was a great SS. And who is reed and greenway?

  10. I agree. Farragut believes that heaven shines down on only them and they talk talk talk. That's all Farragut does is talk. Hope they had fun getting owned in basketball this year. Especially by bearden. They got the train ran on them.

Yeah Bearden and Maryville beat their candy a s ses in basketball this year...I can't wait to play them in football next year either. Farragut will not be good after this senior class leaves...all they will have is that weird a s s Pheiffer kid.

  11. Yeah i'm from west tennessee and i'd like to have a nice debate here. We all know the great Curt Powell and how good he is and everything. But i've been hearing about Ryan Ford lately and how he compares to powell. I just know about ford's speed mainly from when i was at a showcase when he was there and he posted a 6.7 and a 6.6 on the track. His bat hasn't been stellar but i easily see him hitting up to .450 this year. I see both makin it on the 1st team all state at the end of the year....

Ford should easily bat over .400 this year as will Powell, but I just think Ford is the better all-around player. I've played with both and they're both very good, but as a pitcher I want Ford behind me at SS bc he doesn't make errors.

  12. I know I get on here a lot and flame and stuff, but I'm serious when I say that I truly believe Ford is a better SS than Curt Powell. Yeah, Powell has really good hands, looks smooth in the field, has a very nice swing, and is fast..but when it came down to head to head I believe that Ford held the advantage last year. When I watched the 2 play each other, Powell made at least 3 errors...Ford didn't make 1 error. Ford's only thing holding him back from a bigger D1 school is his size. Ford has more power, almost as good of speed, better when it comes to tough plays, and has a stronger arm across the field. I know this is gonna anger you Farragut guys bc all of yall are on Powell's nuts, but let's be honest and have a nice debate here. My vote goes to Ford.

  13. hey have u maryville rednecks put that sacred bat into ur trophy case yet? u know the one that hit a homerun off Matt Ramsey last year when Farragut was beating u guys by 10? i recall ur team reacted as if they had won the state tournament and i just thought u might've put it in there since Coach Pharr told u to and since that is the closest u will ever get to winning anything in baseball. i also cant wait till maryville gets whooped by Farragut in 6A football next year. goodday sir.

    1. I bet you don't even play for Farragut...ur prob one of the 40 players on the team since no one gets cut and u think ur the sugar bc ur on almighty Farragut...and ur prob on all the starter's nuts hardcore

    2. I really hope ur joking about football..we'll show just how good we really are when we play 6a next year

    3. Ur a tool and belong on Tool Academy and labeled as "The dude who isn't athletic but talks sugar because he's on a good team tool"

Thats 13-7 Farragut. Farragut has 7 sports. Bearden 3. Just to throw in Maryville for you. You are once again an idiot. Maryville is basically the definition of a 1 sport school. Since 2000 Maryville has 7 football, 1 basketball. Thats more of a 1 sport school than Farragut. sorry. Oh and sorry but Maryville has 13 team championships ever.. 11 in Football. Sorry, thats essentially a 1 sport school.

Can we please just keep this guy from posting idiotic crap?

Trying to keep this on topic. I am thinking Science Hill may make it to state out of the northeast. DB probably has just as good as shot. DB is always a decent team.

Not one person gives a sugar about girls cross country, girls golf, and boys and girls track...I'll give u props for baseball because ppl actually care about baseball. You can go ahead and mark down BHS for a state title in basketball this year bc they're the best team I've ever seen come through East TN in my 18 years. Science Hill will make state like always bc they have the easiest pathway to state since they get to play the ###### competition in NE TN and then play whoever Farragut beats in the regions.

  15. Kind of like in the thread you created rebelpride, that was quickly deleted, where you were calling a player fat?

I don't even know what ur talkin about brosef...I never started a thread.

  16. 1 sport school? Bearden better? What are you smoking dude? I probably shouldn't say it again, but I think you need it. Dude, you are ignorant.

What else are yall good at dude?? We won state 6 times this century in football and won bball 2 years ago. When has Farragut won in anything else? I know they won in soccer, but BHS is a better men and women's soccer program. Also, aren't they the best basketball team to ever come out of East TN in a long time? From when I watched them against us, they would've kicked our state champ. team's ######. Yall aren't good at any other sport...and don't claim basketball or football bc you have to win to claim those.

  17. Bearden lost a lot, especially pitching with 4 guys that could be almost any teams #1's last year. They also lost a stud C, CF, LF...and that's about it. Every other senior will be replaced hitting, but the pitching will be tough to replace...almost none of BHS's pitchers have varsity experience. We faced Daniel, Hullett, Fennel, and Gouffon last year and they were all very very good pitchers. But I agree, WB stinks this year and BHS will blow them out.

  18. It takes a real jerk to get on here and bash a high school player like that. /mad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="mad.gif" />

    Yeah dude I agree...bruceandpat=tool

  19. Maybe they aren't good enough. Did that ever cross your mind? No. The first and only thing that comes to mind for you is "hey some of those kids play for or live in Farragut, they are only on the team because they are rich. My unathletic child could be as good as him if I had some money. But since I don't I'm going to assume that kid is only good because his parents money made him good."

    You are ignorant.

You're a dumbass dude. If we put in half as much money and time into baseball as we do football and basketball then we'd be beatin yall's candy ###### every year. Farragut is a 1 sport school...even Bearden is better all-around then yall.

  20. i dont know about raw you said sean greenway i crack up when i hear his name but other than him pretty good senior class

I bet you or your son doesn't even play for Farragut. From what I remember Greenway got to play some on that stacked Bearden team last year so obviously he isn't bad.

  21. You know that's true. They got all the Tommy Pharr camps that they all go to and then they got the Yard over there. Why do you think no one from Maryville plays with the Yard? Is it bc we're not good enough? No, it's because we can't afford to play with them...they get the best coaching and best opportunities.

  22. Farragut baseball is so overrated. Once they graduate these seniors this year then they won't have sugar. And to be honest this senior class isn't even that good, I believe Bearden's senior class last year was better and Hall's senior class when they came in 2nd in state. Stallings won't be able to play 3rd in college bc people will actually hit balls where he has to move..the only reason he's good is bc ppl can't drag bunt on his fat ######. Powell made like 5 errors last year against Bearden in all the games...Ford from Bearden>than Powell defensively. The only reason Powell is goin to Candy is bc his dad stinks on all the college coaches balls and prob paid them off. Farragut's only good sport is baseball and they're havin 2 good years....come to Maryville where we win in football and basketball. If we put time and money into baseball like we do football then we'd be kickin Farragut's ###### every year. Oh don't let me forget about that cocky Pheiffer kid...he is good but he got rocked in the districts against Bearden and bet they'll do it again. All you have to do against FHS is throw guys that throw 70 mph and you'll win like William Blount did last year. Watch out for the Rebs this year we gotta lot of seniors.

  23. I think you are told that what you are saying is true. Like many that do not live in Farragut, all they hear is how "snotty" or "arrogant" they are. Those who are brought up believing this have it set in their minds that everyone in Farragut is like that. Every coach and athlete, with the exception of a few, I have known from Farragut is the exact opposite of what you are claiming they are. And to pretend other schools don't have players or people who think they are much better than they really are is just ignorant.

Everyone from Farragut is all little momma's boys. They get everything handed to them growing up and get all the pitching and hitting lessons they want because they can afford it. If we had that kinda money at Maryville then we'd be beatin Farragut's ###### every year.
