Eagleville returns everyone and will be extremely good but with Prep recruiting all of Chattanooga they have to be the favorite. Charter and Magnet schools should be in private division.

Eagleville is actually losing a very solid player in CJ Goers who scored 26 and 17 in his last 2 games. Their other 4 starters this year included 1 junior and 3 sophomores. They will definitely be a contender next year.

They are the best in A.  It'll be a tragedy if they draw Wayne first lol. That's the one team who could beat them

Respectfully disagree. Wayne Co is the team to beat in A. I've watched a few of PC games this year and they have no one that can matchup w/Baugus. She's just too athletic and an offensive rebounding machine. And if WC shoots the ball from 3 like they're capable, it'll be a double digit W for WC.

I will agree.  McEwen is a good team.  They can hit you a couple of different ways.  When Littleton starts popping threes, teams are in trouble. Hankins last night was held in check for most of the night I thought. The rest of the players stepped up.  Best game I have seen Soule play this year. I believe they can beat Wayne County.

    Oops...

Point is a good player. The young post I'm very impressed with. She has guard skills. But McKenzie with Davis is one of the best class A teams I've ever seen. They have 3 difference makers on that team. Wayne Co is good but they can't run with Mckenzie.

"Can't run with Mckenzie"? Remember, in the C'ship game, WC had 23 turnovers, with 17 points off of TO's, but still only lost by 4. Some of those young players that played in the C'ship game are showing already this season that they have matured with handling the ball.  No doubt, Mckenzie is going to turn any team they play over quite a bit b/c they do a great job with pressure, but IF WC cuts those TO's even in half and can get in their half-court sets, Mckenzie doesn't have anyone that can match up with Baugus. It will definitely be a fun game to watch if we get the rematch.

Mckenzie has to be the favorite.  They bring back the main pieces from their state championship team last year.  Savanna Davis is more than most A teams can handle.  Wayne County will be really good again as well.  Those are the best two teams in A.

Dresden and Peabody should be good and end up in the state tournament.  Moore County will be competitive as well.  I haven't seen the teams from East TN mentioned in the earlier post.

Agree.  Just hope Mckenzie and Wayne County end up on opposite sides of the bracket.

  6. "you must be nearsighted"?.?.?

We can discuss the call without that.

I am open to your opinion. I didn't show any disrespect.

I have no horse in this race, just enjoyed a good game and talking about it.... Don't ruin the conversation with belittlements with us talking about a call neither of us had a thing to do with.:thumb:

If you think calling you nearsighted was belittling...I can't help you with that. See ya'll in two weeks.

  7. Well the refs seen the knee and I didn't.... I just seen them blowing the play dead and he wasn't in. I seen WC's back going on down to the ground after the play was blown dead.... He was low but I didn't see the knee. CA Boys was in the way of that view of the knee.

I seen it blown dead before he got in and completely down.... He was in after completely down from my view. But the whistles had a ready been blowing by then. The refs must've seen the knee down from their side view to start blowing the whistles.

No need for the cheap shot outta you neither.

    .

Cheap shot? It wasn't. I disagreed with what you said you thought you saw.

  8.

I was on the NE endzone standing under the trees in the road about 25 ft away.... I told guy standing next to me it was no good and the refs confirmed it..... I don't blame Rice one bit for going for it. I told my buddy I would before Rice ever called it to go for the W!

2 really good teams. WC fixes the fumble bug.... Look out!

Defense is as good as you all said. Nobody's controlled CA's offense like that. Nothing to be ashamed of tonight.

Sorry bigby...you must be nearsighted...I had clear line of sight too and Rice pushed ball across plane easily. Incompetent ref's explanation to Coach Rice was that Preston's knee went down at 1/2 yard line. So explain to me why he waits until the pile is uncovered to make call. It took them a good 10 seconds to make call of 'no good'. ?? If he saw knee down at 1/2 yard line he should of run in authoritatively making call. Completely ridiculous. But as some have already said, ballgame should have never gotten to that point. WC run game was dominating but reverted to shooting ourselves in foot with fumbles. I look forward to seeing them again in playoffs.

  9. There are not going to be any fights being picked. Perry County is not the same team as they were the past two years. Ask Parsons, there were no ejections no late hits or anything of that matter. Don't disrespect these kids just because the Wildcats are (1-8) all time against the Vikings.

PC...let's get that record correct...don't won't any outsiders thinking that's really the case.  WC is  8-1 against the Vikings....not 1-8. Lol.

  10. Moore County 28 Wayne County 7

Put the Jack Daniels down and step away.  If Bratcher is on the D line this week and Cole at LB, WC is gonna have a coming out party.....with Cole getting reps on offense last week, he's gonna be even better this week.....WC 35, MC 7.  If Bratcher and Cole not on D, WC 35, MC 21.

  11. Looks like Birchette may be out for a few weeks with that leg injury. But you are right, Ray and Cole have been running the ball as hard as any backs we have had in awhile, kinda takes you back a few years ago.

I thought it was just cramps?  Any info. on what kind of injury?  It'd be nice if we could put a team on the field that included all of our studs for at least one week. Geez.

  12. Them boys are way better than it reflects. I am glad you all got to see that now though y'all may not be. That helps y'all to see just what I've been saying all year here on the T.... Turnovers and penalties lost those games.... Of course they made them, but I knew they were way better than that. I've told everybody all year long that if mTp could just limit or eliminate them that those boys could play ball with any one.

Eagleviile, Spring Hill, CA, and Loretto should have all been Wins for mTp but turnovers and penalties turned those 4 games into losses. Only team that beat mTp straight up was BGA.

Y'all play ball. Line looked good both sides of the ball. #70 on defense got a motor now. That kid was goin every down till the last whistle (big, fast, and gets in the backfield). I really like Beavis as a back, kid really puts forth the effort. Head first running everytime. Rice is gonna follow in his brothers footsteps. Knows when to run with it and passes pretty accurately.... If y'all would've thrown more proly would've hurt us, but I'm figuring the dropped passes drew Rice back from those play calls (WC running game actually worked in mTp's favor; running the clock)..... #8 got good hands... But passes were on for the most part and receivers were open. It made me cringe to see the ball fly, but really relieved to see it hit the ground or mTp flat out defend it. WC developes a short quick hit passing game like the TD pass at the end of the 2nd with the crossing route?.?.?.... WC would be Really Tough for 1A teams to beat. Gonna be anyways.

Best of luck to you guys in rest of your games. I will be pulling for ya as usual.

    .

Agreed!  We actually threw more than usual, however late in the 4th when we're driving for that last score, I thought we handed it off a couple times too many while precious seconds ticked off the clock (especially after we'd thrown it pretty dang well).  Losing that time didn't help us after y'all got the ball back and we needed a stop....then again, I'm not sure we could've stopped y'alls run game as we didn't do that too much all night.

I thought the real back breaker though was early in the 3rd qtr. when we fumbled the snap from the 1-yard line on 4th down and then y'all drive 97 yards for the score.  If we score there, I think it's a different ballgame.......but games are always filled with what-ifs and shoulda couldas.  Credit to MtP....excellent game on the road.

....And MtP didn't turn the ball over but honestly I don't know how b/c a couple of those QB pitches came after he was wrapped up and pitched it very unconventionally...one time it was some kinda over the shoulder crap....but wow it worked somehow!  lol

One last thing....Could Coach Crews please send somebody in with the play instead of making Preston come to the sideline every time to get the play call.....he makes the kid run an extra mile every Friday night...that wears the kid out by the 4th qtr and kills seconds off the clock!!!  Go Cats!

  13. Richland has played Mtp 4 times this year winning 2 of them and barely losing in the other 2 so they're use to playing teams with better athletes.......Lake Co has the experience and the momentum now but I think Richland is well coached enough to hang in this one. They're not going to be intimidated with Lake Co's pressure and beat themselves with TOs against that pressure. They move the ball well and have a couple of nice shooters. To win, they MUST BOX OUT and I think they know that. Richland by 4
