How did everyone's camps go?
-
PC went 3-0 yesterday beating York, Smith County, and White County.
-
Watch out.
-
Garrett Stults is one of, if not the best, PG in the district.
-
They just get their biggest win of the year over #2 state ranked Watertown and you get on here and bash him?
-
Hughes and Garrett just didn't come focused. The other guys kept pc in the game and gave them a chance. Looked like the coach tried to teach those two boys a lesson. Hope it works. If these boys don't then pc with have a long year.
-
They lost three seniors. Only two of which received playing time. Brannon Roop and Chase Ferrell.

PC shot at least 20 three's. Roop played well and Garrett was getting other guys easy looks. Ferrell and Hughes played a pretty good supporting game and knocked down some big shots when they needed them. The bobcats had to of shot less than 10 free throws. I dont remember anyone getting there but Roop. Maybe it'll get better. It better.

"These 2 schools seem to always have it together with the others just taking the scraps off the table". Since 2006 only 2 teams from 7a has been to the state tournament and crange or pc hasn't been either one. Also Clay County took a game into overtime earlier in the year with Clarkrange at Clarkrange. This district, with the exception of Monterey, is dead even.
A team in this district is 3-0 and it is dead even? That doesn't add up.

I just saw the score where we beat y'all 46-40, is that score correct? and can anybody give any info on the game? I didnt go to it.
PC did not come ready to play. FCS came out hot and knocked down a couple of jumpers in the first half so nearly the entire PC first 5 laid down. We took terrible shots and did not share the basketball. When we did, we scored. This wasn't the same PC team that won 6 or 7(not sure on the number) straight games. The bobcats won't win many games playing like they did last night. Roop, Hughes, and Ferrell(sp?) just had an off shooting night which is bound to happen since they've been lighting it up for a while now. Patterson shot very well the first half. The sandoval kid was out for most of the game, not sure why. Offensive rebounds and bad shots are what beat the cats. Reffing wasn't to bad either way.

The big three was all sick and we did not play good.We still working on 7A teams then we move to 8A in late FEB. you know what i talking about then it will be state bound
The big three weren't the ones who kept the bobcats in the game this time..

Bump!
Looks like all the football is played by the 8a teams, and the 7a teams should have all their basketball players back that played football. I was told Clarkrange put it on RBS pretty good at a playday, how is everyone else doing?
PC went 3-0 Saturday beating a bad Westmoreland team, a decent Culleoka bunch, and a pretty good Cheatham County group. Season looks good for the Bobcats!
-
Does anyone know how many seniors are coming back for these teams?
I'm prety sure JC has 4 seniors this year. Two of them are players who weren't on the team last year. Clarkrange has the twins, the beaty kid, and i heard a post moved in from Crossville. PC has Roop and Ferrell. I'm not sure about Celina or Monterey. I know Monterey has the Castle kid, but i don't know the rest.

Season is drawing near. How will this season go?
-
swanson this post wasnt made so you could say that the whole district is terrible and stuff like that all over again. your comment that they should win the district would have been sufficient
you asked for his opinion and he told you...get over yourself and how good you think your commanders are.
-
bump.
-
we dont need more recruits. according to everyone on here, we are already full of them
i don't know if it is recruits that you all are full of ...
-
it doesnt matter. like i said, if you all would like to keep living in the past then go ahead. polish the gold balls from 8 or 10 years ago i dont care. Jackson is not what their past is. its the present. so lets hear what you have for this years team
We'll see when you come to the den. Better bring a few more recruits.
-
i'm sure his pick for the state champions will be the same this year as it was last year
just asking(and i am in no way supporting JC), but in comparison, how many state tourney appearances does FCS have to compared to JCHS, or for that matter, any other team in 7-A (excluding monterey)?
-
Alumnist, what year did you graduate?
It doesn't sound like he has yet...
-
i was counting this year as the third because i dont think there will be a reason that they shouldnt get at least runner up in the region tournament
runner up..that's exactly where they need to and will be, right behind the clawin' cats in black and yellow.
-
i would be very suprised if you could name someone who stopped him last year in a man to man defense.
I guarantee you if godwin wanted to stop him, he could've, with ease.
-
bates is a great player. the "marshmallow twins" are good shooters. Sandoval is easily the best overall and most versatile player in the region. he can be a threat at any position against any team. Patterson and Bates are about equall. Bates just stands out a lil more cause the players around him arent as good as the players around Patterson and Sandoval. I just think Patterson has better defense. No doubt that Bates is a player to watch out for though.
i got no idea who this roop kid you speak of is though
In my opinion, the smaller henry brother(i can't remember his name), is the best player in 7-A. He is a very very good shooter, but he can also put the ball on the floor. Clarkrange has no problem having energy on offense because the matchup zone they play(which is somehow very effective) seems to require very little effort and movement.
But i do agree on sandoval being one of the most, if not the most, versatile player in the region. If he improved his ballhandling just a little more, no one could stop him in man to man.
