  2. You shouldn't worry to much about someone not making a district, region, state team. It is only a poll and few if anyone remembers who was on the team after the state tournament. I watched two players from the same high school make All-Region, All-City & All-State as juniors. They had a better senior season and made All-Region & All-City but did not make All-State because the coach failed to send in the necessary information. It really didn't matter as both players went on to play in college and do very well. I have also seen a kid that was not voted onto any team and he ended up pitching and winning the semi-final game in the college world series. Polls are worthless and political, the mlb scouts know who can play.

How do you find out who makes those teams?

  3. Yea, the regular season does not matter at this point, all that matters is the how the teams finshed in the tournament. CAK - 2-0, Catholic 2-0, AC 1-1, Loudon 1-1, Stone 0-2, Kingston 0-2 Scott 0-1. If the tournament games scheduled for today get officially cancelled and deemed unable to play today or tomorrow, it will be turned into a single elimination style; therefore, CAK and Catholic will represent District 4-AA. However, I am not really sure who would get the 1 seed for the Region if they cannot play the District Championship (i would assume CAK would get it because they finished 1st in the regular season, but they could still get that game in). I think they will end up playing the games tomorrow though....

Stone is 1-1 They beat Scott County and lost to Catholic...thats the only games they have played in the tournament

  4. AC is set to play stone tommorrow at 5 and catholic to play the winner of that game @ AC but with weather conditions we'll see. i dont see how they wouldnt get the tournament in jetsplayer. please explain

Because we have a 90 % chance of rain..if they were going to let everybody play they wouldnt have cancelled the losers bracket that was scheduled for Tuesday @ 7 pm...The only games that were played was the winners bracket..They have a meeting this morning to decide, if we get to play I will be VERY surprised

  5. are the games at loudon still on for today?

No the games were canceled because of their field?????...with the weather thats coming I'd say that the tournament is over, so the top 2 will move on. I think everybody should have had a chance you never know what could have happened kinda stinks for the seniors for it to end like that

  6. I think CAK has a great field, you can see from anywhere you sit....

    Rockwood does too

My boys like Catholics out field because you can lay on it and you sink in..

I think their fans/parents/students are absolutely horrible..every year we go there somebody has something smart to say...last year game was stopped due to vulgar comments almost cost them the game. Kinda funny because they are still nasty even if they are winning...I would rather loose every single game and be respected than have a rep like they do

  7. Correct.

All starters have reenty privileges one time. Subs have no reentry privileges.

As far as visits to the mound, riverdaleman nailed it. And remember, like he said, if you change pitchers, it's not a visit.

We played Saturday and it was the first time that I heard you had 4 visits to the mound...several parents on our team thought that until the umpire told us...

  8. you have 3 visits PER GAME on the 4th visit the pitcher must come out...if you change pitchers it doesnt ocunt as a visit

WOW Shows you how much I know....For years always thought as many trips as you wanted but on second trip in the same inning he had to be pulled out...Thanks

  9. Can somebody please tell me the rule for how many trips a coach make to the mound before the pitcher has to be taken out? My son has played baseball (travel ball, fall ball and high school ball) since he was 7 and always thought you could make as many trips as you wanted in the game but on your second trip in the same inning had he had to be taken out...

  10. and surely this attitude doesnt surprise anyone from him does it

No it doesnt but its a shame that he acted like that to Coach Callahan and ruined a good game between friends...but then again he is the same kid who did cart wheels during a game in Fountain City.....

  11. CCHS coaches need to teach number 9 (wyatt) some manners...some of those boys have played ball together for years, grown up together etc...It was a good game between 2 high schools in the same town and he has to ruin it by throwing the game ball back in Scott's face even when Scott was giving it to the winning pitcher (woodlief) and saying a smart comment like he did almost causing a fight on the baseball field. To top it off CCHS won...I hope the CCHS coach disciplines him some how for his actions, it was totally uncalled for....

  12. I thought I had seen some terrible umpires until last night...Catholic vs Stone Memorial. The umpire was calling balls and strikes before the balls even got to the plate...Reversed 3 calls because he was jumped on by the Catholic fans/coaches...The best one yet..ball hit down first base line, first basemen hits ball with his glove, ball bounces into fair territory, umpire holds his right hand out as if he was calling foul ball...NEVER NEVER NEVER says a word, players clearing bases, batter gets on third. Everybody is in an uproar because he held his hand out motioning it was foul. Every umpire I have every heard makes it clear by yelling if its a foul ball instead of letting everybody run. I have never been so upset...of course batter is winded from running his behind off gets back up to bat and strikes out. It was a really good game but when you have calls like that and they have such an impact on the game its a shame, especially when its kids and its a district game to beat all....

  13. I think we will see a good game tonight between the 2. Stone is led with good coaching and improves a ton from year to year and even throughout the season. Stone is due to start upseting teams in this district. Tonight might be the 1st if AC does not bring there A game... Good luck to both.

I would be very suprised if this game was a blowout..

Well it was far far far from a blowout...yeah AC won but the score was 4-0. AC has some big boys that I was expecting to explode on Stone but didnt...Stone has one ace of a pitcher, Stickler had 7 strikouts but he did allow one homerun. If Stone can fix errors on the field and get their bats going they will be upsetting some teams this year and tonight proved it.
