Walker Valley didnt have Haley Davis or their left fielder last time the two teams met. Boen in centerfield and lead off had a big game. Cookeville pitched a girl that must have thrown 35 change ups in the game and kept Walkers big hitters from going yard. No other real highlights from the first game. Should be fun to watch. Game is at 6pm CST.

Walker Valley won't lay down. They are extremely banged up but they will make it tough for everyone. All you have to do is look at them when they walk up. Casts, crutches, spleens. Lol. I would call them the bad news bears but they just beat the socks off of them tonight. Should be Walker Valley & soddy tomorrow at 11am.

Not sure how they ended up but Walker Valley will play Bradley for their first game in district tournament. Walker will also go the rest of the way without their cleanup hitter and catcher. She is hurt and doctor told her she will be out a month.

It happens, Walker Valley has beat both East Hamilton & Soddy and they are not even on the list. Gibbs looks strong.

Choo Choo Tournament Update. Last I heard Ooltewah, Walker Valley, Cleveland, Bradley and Baylor were all in GOLD.

Not saying it's right or wrong, but if CAK's coach helps run a club or actually runs a club he or she is not the only one. We have it in the Cleveland/Chattanooga area also. Has not effected our school. Our coach is not involved.

Yes Walker Valley beat Bradley 3 -1. Both teams without their outside hitters, Brooke Copeland & Baylee Boen. Actually both play all the way around. It was a good match. Can't wait to see them play again when both teams are healthy.

Walker Valley also beat Soddy, Bradley beat East Hamilton, Cleveland beat Rhea and McMinn (not saying much). I dont know any other scores from this week.

As far as that list goes, Walker Valley beat Red Bank and split with East Hamilton this past weekend. It's still very early with some teams not complete in line ups yet.

Walker Valley, GPS, Baylor, East Ridge, Notre Dame, Signal and East Hamilton will be playing this coming weekend at the GPS playday.

What happened in the championship game?

Walker Valley didn't start Hooper but honestly it doubt it would have mattered. Raymond did a good job. Walker Valley didn't hit, made to many errors and played like they wanted to go to Coffee (which I know they didn't).

Walker may have peaked too early. Bats look tired. Time off for injuries might have hurt, I don't know. If they win tonight they will be hard to stop.

They respect Coffee and If any of you have been there during district or Regions you know how loud it is at their field.

Final was 6-2. Worst loss of the season for Walker Valley. Lady Mustangs will play either Ooltewah or Rhea on Friday at 4pm. Championship at 6pm and if game at 8pm.

Great example of a team wanting it more than the other team and a team being to confident. Walker jumped out to an early lead and stopped playing. Soddy kept playing and hit very well. Hope the Lady Mustangs learned a lesson!

Walker Valley 11 over Ooltewah 1 in 5 innings.

No ones talking much about Ravenwood or their pitcher but the young lady is good. They have beat Riverdale, Beech twice and Walker Valley in extra innings.

Walker Valley will have 3 of their starters back when district play resumes. They haven't had the 3 playing at the same time in over a month. I watched them hit yesterday and they were killing the ball. They look hungry and ready to play. We will see!!!

Rumor has it your clueless. What does it matter what the record is. You think the girls care what their record is if they dont go to state? It's always the athletic supporters (see what i did there) and not the athletes that want to talk the most trash. I hope everyone else is getting a laugh out of your posts like I am.

 

I'm sure that Norma didn't mind re-doing the brackets a couple of days before the tournament began. Why can't WV play with what they have? If every team dropped out because a few girls were nicked up there wouldn't be a tournament.

Lol. Making a bracket for 12 teams isn't That hard and from what i was told she didnt even close it out till Wednesday. Dealing with the rain today will much more stressful. As far as playing with what they have, Walker Valley only has 14 on their roster. Like I said earlier, good luck to all the teams.
