  1. Well I may of not predicted the last three games right, but it does not matter as your favorite team was defeated and sent home until next March. Have fun Rebels, while Indy continues to play next week. .

Indy plays Overton Monday at Overton

Ravenwood plays a Metro team at home.

Well, i am going to have to say that i was pulling for the Rebels, and they played very well tonight, but ran out of steam. I wish all the best to Independence and Ravenwood and hope that they represent District 11-AAA well throughout the playoffs

  2. Well I was 2-0 on my predictions for Friday Night's game. Brentwood ripped through Hillsboro 24-1, while Centennial defeated Franklin 4-3.

Saturday was an interesting day in Thompson Station. Ravenwood defeated Brentwood in a very close game, while Independence defeated Centennial. I was not of fan of the loser's of this game having to play two games in a day. What was the thought process of this?

So Brentwood lost to Franklin. You could tell that Brentwood was still down after their close loss to Ravenwood. I don't think a team should have to play 2 games in one day in the district unless rain forces it. Franklin greatly benefited from Brentwood's earlier loss. What's up with some key Franklin players not in the lineup Saturday? No Bein, Sistrunk, or Grider for the Rebels.

Centennial then defeated Hillsboro, setting up a rematch of Friday night against the Rebels. These teams have split 2-2 this season, whoever wins this will have to play the Ravenwood-Indy loser tomorrow afternoon.

    Tonight's Predictions

    Centennial over Franklin

    Indy over Ravenwood

Well Franklin won and your Eagles lost. I actually think that it will be a good game. I really don't understand why Bein hasn't been playing. When he came in tonight he hit a double to the wall. Sistrunk, from what I hear, hasn't been playing do to a very poor attitude. Grider was kicked off the team for a senior prank, which involved vandalization of the school.

  3. coaching has little to do with the rebel woes.... the team one night will show awesome fight and will to win and the next the team is flat footed and down in the dumps. franklin is coached no matter what anyone here says because unless you have direct contact to the team how can you know what goes on between the fences??? the rebels problem is they continue to take poor at bats with poor approaches you cant win if you have runners at 2nd and 3rd with no outs and dont drive home a run......simply ridiculous... the problem is soley on the players im tireds of hearing this and that about the coaches.... THE COACHES DONT PLAY THE GAMES.....THE PLAYERS DO IF YOU HAVENT NOTICED if you want to disect the teams and if they are good or not look more towards the players not the coaches its simply stupid to balme a teams wins or loses on the coach.....

i agree 100%, it is not the coaches to blame. it is the seniors, they have terrible attitudes, with the exception of a few of them. you can see their attitudes from the stands and when they are in the outfield slamming their gloves and walking back to the dugout hanging their heads, it rubs off on the whole team. it is not only seniors with bad attitudes there are others and they rub off on the rest of the team as well. when the seniors leave and the other players with poor attitudes get out of the program things will begin to click and franklin will be o.k.

those people that keep bashing the franklin back-up first basebman, he may be that bad, but give him a break. he is performing to the best of his ability and that is all anyone can ask, but he is pretty terrible

  4. Franklin is struggling so much hitting, but their pitching looks pretty good. They make a lot of errors (especially up the middle) and that is why they allow so many runs. From what i hear Jake Little is out for 2 weeks or something like that. They will figure it out come district tournament. They may not get past district, but they will definitely put up a fight.

  5. Whoa slow down rebelnation. Someone peed in your cornflakes. If Indy is NOT THAT GOOD. That means your Rebels are below them. We owned you guys last year and we will do it again this year. Bill Moore is the best coach in the district. Coach Kirby from Ravenwood is a quality coach as well. Everyone else is below par in the district.

you did not own franklin last year you split with them. they came out and gave you a beating in the first game, winning9-2. you guys came back and won the second game, but you did not own them.

  6. Columbia lost to Centennial, who everyone knows is the 5th best team in this district. If you lose to Centennial, you are a cupcake.

and you are a fruitcake for comparing a baseball team to a cupcake

  7. I am a Franklin fan too and i never said that Independence wasn't the better team, i was just stating that Franklin has not lost all of its pitching and is not nearly as weak as everyone thinks

  8. They also lost Michael Patton, who could of been the most consistent LHP in the district last year. Those are three big arms that ate up a lot of innings. Everyone in the district knows Falletta had arm problems at the end of the year, so that is a big question mark. And from talking with people from the Outlaws this summer, Bein was not impressive on the mound. You know who was impressive- Miller and Toscano. You know where they are from? Indy.

Who won the JV tourney last year? Indy so we got the best talent coming up as well.

Falletta had arm problems last year because of overuse, and becuase of the new 3 game series in district play (which are the only games that matter) he will only pitch one game per week. This should keep all arm problems under control. From what I have heard Bein pitched fairly well over the summer along with the two pitchers fom independence. Franklin's JV last year was 95% freshman and i believe Independence was at least 95% sophmores, if I can remember correctly.

  9. "Franklin lost all its pitching from last year." IndyEagle09

The only pitchers Franklin lost last year were Colton Robertson and Tyler Harris. I would not consider that losing all of its pitching. They still have Falleta, Bein, and a few younger guys that have yet to prove themselves.
